Chapter 141
Reece
When watching Caleb get shot did a piece of me instantly panic. The chaos around me now in slow motion as I sat there watching as Caleb moved to hit the floor. Screams that were once loud and chaotic soon nothing but background noise as I continued to watch helplessly.
“CALEB!”
The voice suddenly familiar. Ella. Our Princess still next to me even as she too witnessed Caleb get shot. My mind now on her even as Ella panicked. My hands quick in steadying her as I move to voice my concern.
“Ella. Baby. Listen to me. I need to check up on Caleb. I promise you that I’ll be right back. But until then I need you to hide for me. I promise we’ll come find you once the coast is clear. But for now I need you to run and whatever you do don’t look back.”
My words firm. A piece of me hoping that Ella would listen to me. Having seen Dylan, who was also concerned instantly rush for Caleb’s side. My heart racing at trying to figure out what to do next.
Ella eventually running from where the chaos was happening. My focus now back on my brothers. My feet quick to scurry over to them as I do. My eyes frantically scanning the area and over Caleb’s motionless body that laid upon the ground while Dylan and I tried not to panic.
“Come on dude, don’t you dare die on us now.”
“Ya. You can’t die on us yet. We have kids now. Along with a beautiful wife to love and cherish for all of eternity. So dying is definitely out of the question at least for now anyways.”
Dylan quick in searching for where Caleb was shot while my own hands searched for some kind of pulse. A sigh rising when I eventually find one. Dylan quick in finding where he was shot. A bullet wound to the shoulder enough to force him to the ground and to where he then smacked his head.
A sigh quick to rise. Both of us thankful that the bullet hadn’t reached his heart when it hit.
Our sigh short lived when a loud piercing scream echoes within the air which causes us to look for the source. Our eyes soon spotting the person only to freeze. Our eyes fixed on what we were seeing. James. James currently leaving the room with Ella. Ella now swung over his shoulder while kicking and swinging her legs in an attempt to get down. Her arms bound behind her back as she continued to kick and scream.
“NO! STOP! LET ME GO! REECE! DYLAN! PAPA! RIAN!”
“SOMEBODY HELP ME!”
Her cries enough to pierce my heart as I’m forced to watch her from a far. My voice quick to echo back. “ELLA!”
Her eyes quick in finding mine amongst the chaos. “REECE!”
My focus now bouncing between Ella and Dylan. Dylan quick to make the decision for me. “GO! I HAVE THINGS UNDER CONTROL HERE WITH CALEB. YOU WORRY ON GETTING ELLA BACK.”
Hesitating again do I reluctantly move to leave. Dylan quick to snap once more before moving to shove me in the other direction. “GO. NOW” his words quick in snapping me from my daze as I then scurry to give chase. Fear gripping my chest as I continued to run for our girl.
“ELLA!”
The thought of losing her rising just as another round of bullets going whizzing by. One quick to graze my ear which causes me to stop. My body soon dodging the onslaught as I continued to run once more.
Ella’s eyes still on mine even as she moves to yell once more. “REECE!”
The tone of her voice chilling. My need to move faster rising only to slammed to the ground by that of a human body. The wind suddenly gone from my lungs as I turn to see who had done it. My eyes quick to find those of Alanna.
“Alanna?”
“Get down!”
“Why?”
But before I can ask further is there another massive explosion. One that rocks the foundation of the building as Nicholas and James both manage to flee with Ella in tow. My eyes widening as I’m forced to watch as my wife. My Princess is taken from me once more.
“NO! ELLA!”
The entrance to the reception now blocked. The path officially blocked by rubble as I’m forced to watch as Ella is taken yet again and during one of the most important parts of our lives. Our wedding.

Ella
NO. NO. NO.
This was absolutely not happening to me yet again. Yet here I was, bound with both hands tied behind my back as I’m carried away from my reception site and towards that of my unknown fate.
The reception hall in utter chaos as those who were present either injured or dead. My mind currently on Caleb. Caleb being injured left me with more unanswered questions than answers. For while I might have been present to witness his downfall, I still didn’t know whether or not he was alive or dead.
Reece having chased me off before I could find out.
My heart pulling at my heartstring at the thought of my men. At the possibility of them not finding me or worst me not knowing what was happening with Caleb.
James quick in laying me down within a back seat of an unmarked vehicle. My hands still bound tightly behind me as he moves to lock the passenger door before closing it tightly. As if making sure I couldn’t escape. My heart pounding rapidly at never being able to see those I loved ever again.
James soon quick to climb into the passenger seat of the car before turning towards that of the driver. James quick to bark out orders. “DRIVE. NOW.”
“But sir, what about Nicholas?”
“Don’t worry about Nicholas. He said he’ll meet up with us. The plan was to grab the girl and run before her good for nothing father could find her. Now drive.”
The driver quick to step on the gas once shifting the car into gear. The car quick to speed off while leaving Nicholas and those behind. The sound of guns echoing within the distance and the faint sound of voices was all I had left before silence. Even as one familiar voice moved to call out.
“ELLA!”
The voice belonging to that of my father. My father continuing to yell out to me even as the car finally speed away. Tears welling within my eyes as I’m forced to lay upon my back during the whole exchange. My mind and heart both racing. A part of me wondering if I’d ever be lucky enough to see those I loved once more or if this would be the last time I ever saw them for good.
