Chapter fifty Two

We ambled hastily, along the road that led to my mum's hotel.
"How do you know this Nancy you speak of, and how do you know any of this stuff?" He was uncomfortable.
"Well, I did meet Nancy and a few other of your victims. They are all part of the gang that I just left."
"Why did you leave the gang?" He seemed comfortable with the fact that his "beloved" daughter was in a mafia gang.
"Because I had shot one of them."
"W-h-a-t?!" My father screamed at the top of his lungs, his mouth cupped in both hands. "What the fuck, Camilla???" He was obviously too awed to speak on. He sighed loudly, before continuing. "You are a murderer?" I noted a disappointed tone as he spoke, I could depict fear and disappointment in his eyes too.
"Nah, according to your lord she's not dead."
"Oh thank goodness." He let out a deep sigh of relief. "Baby, there's so much I wish I taught you. Listen, Cammie. No matter what happens, please do not for any reason whatsoever kill anyone. You don't deserve the guilt that comes with it, believe me. I have done it severally and I know how my life is, and I regret everything."
I walked on, keeping my thoughts to myself. When we got to my mum's hotel, I turned to face it. "This is a beautiful place." I casually complimented.
He looked at me, then at the hotel. I noted anxiety in his eyes. I went on with my torture. "Is there anything you wish to tell me?"
"Yes!" He blurted. "This place is owned by your mother. It's a beautiful place that she and I had built as an investment. After we broke up, she got it. Listen, I'm sorry for all the lies I told you but I'm seriously tied down. I'm really anxious. What if my lord wakes up and finds out that you are gone? You do know that she has everything that goes on recorded, just so she can watch it later. Even though she was asleep while it happened."
"The drug you bought has a three hours long effect." I responded curtly, and kept my gaze on him. "Keep going. You were talking about my mum? Where do you think she might be?"
He sighed, obviously uncomfortable with the conversation. "I don't want to talk about this, but since you insist."
"I do."
"She's in there."
I gave a light scream, one that was easy to note as fake. "Let's get in there."
"No!" He resisted. "No!" I saw tears in his eyes. "I hurt her so much, I don't wanna see her." He had better said his last prayers to her. Because it really didn't matter if he went into the hotel or not, I was determined to kill him. "Cammie, I paint her black in the whole city. She's probably not going to forgive me ever."
"Come with me!" I took his hand, and he followed obediently after me.
We walked down to the reception, and surprisingly met her there. The stare they shared was emotional.
My mother had subconsciously dropped her purse, and my father forgot who he was. - One of the leaders of the most dangerous mafia gang in the entire city, and even neighborhood towns.
They both lost their voices. My mum was the first to speak. "Pedro...." She called out with a shaky voice and tears filled eyes. I calmly observed them both, still trying hard to remain heartless.
"Baby...." My father swallowed a hard lump after he said that.
People were beginning to make videos and take pictures, a little scene was created.
"I'm sorry," My father finally said. My mother looked at me, then at my father, and motioned on us both to walk with her to her office.
"We don't have the time for all of this." My father said, which came as a shock to my mother.
"He's not wrong." The earlier we finished here, the earlier I killed him.
"But..." My mum paused, probably to sieve her words. "You both just got here."
"I know, we were headed for somewhere. Cammie Wanted to show me something that she said was kept for me by a certain Nancy. I have to head back soon. Like I said before, I am sincerely sorry, we have to go now."
"Just like that?" My mother asked with a tone that was almost pleading. "Listen, Pedro. You owe me a lot of explanation, and you know it. Let's forget about all you did, Cammie told me all that happened."
My father was surprised, he thought I didn't know she was still alive. He had his questions but he didn't ask.
My mother insisted that we weren't headed anywhere until she was done interrogating my father. She was obviously still In love with this monster. Wasn't she the one who called me and told me to go ahead with whatever I wanted, that she didn't mind. And here she was, begging him to stay with her a little bit more.
"I don't understand what's going on here." My dad was beginning to feel like my mum and I had set him up. How was that possible when he was the one who saved me from the base of his gang?
"I also do not understand what is going on here!" My mother was about to start arguing with him.
Not an argument!
That was not part of my plan. I wanted him to meet his wife for the last time, before I killed him. Not for him to meet with her and start an argument.
"You both stop!" I had my hand on my head. "Pedro was coaxed into all of this. He's still under the contract, he cannot do otherwise. Does that answer your questions mum?"
She nodded. "Good! And for you, Mr Pedro... I brought you here, so you can have a little bit of family reunion before I kill you."
My mum frowned. "Why would you kill him?"
"Because I have to."
