Chapter fifty Three
"What's going on, Camilla?" My father looked at my mother first for an explanation. But when she gave none, be turned to me.
My father was just as confused as my mother pretended to be. My mother and I had been in this together for a few days. She was the one who told me that my father wasn't in the right frame of mind. Wasn't she also the one who told me that I could go ahead and kill him, after she found him dragging young ladies into his Van? And suddenly she was pretending like I wasn't right for wanting to kill him.
"Because Nancy asked me to kill you." It wasn't wise of me to have said it to him, when my plan wasn't complete yet. I didn't have a gun, a knife, or anything that would make it possible for me to kill him. I spoke on anyways, I had already started speaking. "It doesn't matter who pressured you into it, Pedro. The point is that you are a monster. You have raped hundreds of youngsters, you made some of them commit suicide, you made some of them give up on life, you made some of them turn to gangster and Nancy is just one example. You made her become a gangster, you made her an orphan and eventually, you made her commit suicide. She knew she wouldn't make it, yet she went ahead with the surgery. You have done a lot of bad things, victimized me and a lot others, but this isn't just about me, dad. It's about Nancy, it's about the hundreds of youngsters from all over the world who you have limited their future." I paused to catch my breath, and before I started speaking again, my mother interrupted me.
"Camilla..." She called out with a loud voice. "What are you saying?" She moved closer to me, and gave me a heart piercing stare. "We had an agreement, didn't we?" She put both hands on her hips, sighed before speaking on. "Baby, I know you have been hurt. I cannot imagine what you have been through, and what you are still going through, but that doesn't change the fact that this is your father. He hurt you, and he admitted he is sorry. You and I know that he couldn't do anything about it, he was pressured into all of these. He was made to sign a contract, and if he didn't sign it, you would have been killed. Cammie, can't you see what has happened? All of that is in the past now, we can move on. I have enough money for all of us to travel out and start a new life."
"What about Sandra?" My father was interested in the suggestion my mother had made, but it was obvious he still had a crazy phobia for his lord.
"I will handle her myself. I'm just getting to know it's a female who has inflicted such great fear in the mind of everyone and I have a plan."
"As long as it works, I am in. I have been in this slavery nearly my whole life. All I care about is having my family back." I watched my mum give him a hug, and I was touched by the reunion.
"Now what?" My father slowly recoiled from the hug.
"Now, I fulfill my promise to Nancy."
My mum laughed, and clapped both hands. "And how do you plan on achieving any of that?" She put her hands on mine, and pulled me closer to her. "Nancy is dead. If she were alive, she would be proud of you and what you have become. I bet she wanted the best for you and she wouldn't want you to do anything to hurt the happiness that nature just bestowed on you. Camilla, this is the happiest you have ever been and I know it." She tried putting my head on her chest, but I pushed her away from me. She continued speaking. "Baby, forget about the dead. Let's build our home together. We really do not have the time for this conversation now. According to you both, you had drugged Sandra. Which means she can wake up at anytime. Come with me, let's travel to a city with tight security. When we get there, you will heal from all of this."
If I disobeyed her, and refused to travel with her, I didn't have a weapon with which to kill my father. It would make it a fruitless effort.
If i travelled with her, it meant that I had failed Nancy. I had failed the Mafia sisters, I had failed every innocent young person out there who was once a victim of my father.
I could choose to travel with them, or pretend like I wanted to. That would earn me my father's trust. And then I would kill him.
But that wasn't part of the plan. There was a high tendency that I would get there and forget about the plan. I would get carried away with the feeling of being loved and cared for, I would forget who gave my best friend life.
"What about Shully?" I finally asked, after I had spent a lot of time trying to make up my mind.
"She can always travel to where we are, and see us. I'm thinking of going across the continent actually. That way, it would be impossible for Sandra to trace us."
The door to my mum's office swung open, and someone dressed in what I would describe as a villain's outfit stepped in majestically. "You wouldn't be so sure." She scanned me carefully, then turned to face my father. He was shaking like a little girl. My mother seemed unmoved by everything that was going on.
"You drugged me." She finally said, removing the ugly face mask to reveal that face those grey eyes and beautiful face that I had seen the first day I met her. "Pedro, you drugged me!" She repeated more slowly now, retrieving a gun from the back of the leather pants she had on.
