Chapter sixty four

Keddy's POV.
I was perching on the edge of my bed, visibly shaken. I had recently rented a new apartment after Camilla got me into a lot of trouble with the Sherlock Head Mafia Gangsters.
The cops were equally after me until I payed for the phone that she had stolen from them.
We recently agreed that I would bring her Iphone for her, but then she stopped picking up my phone calls. We were planning on eloping, and then she called to tell me she was married.
Everything happened so fast, it felt like a dream.
Initially like comedy to me.
The last thing I expected to see was her phone call. But when she called, I was elated.
A man even snatched the phone from her while the call was going on. That was probably her new husband.
He sounded really bossy to me, and she didn't sound so happy.
I was too stressed to think straight, too jealous to figure out what was going on, and too distressed to think of a way out.
Memories of every second that I have ever had with Camilla by my side, or over the phone with her flashed back to me.
The day that I had saved her from my father and hers.
The day that I brought her to live with me.
The day that her father took her away from me.
The many fights we've had,
The few times she let her hatred for men go and admit that she loved me.
Why was Camilla doing any of this to me, why was she leaving me in the most ridiculous manner?
Men aren't supposed to cry, but I couldn't help it.
I was beginning to feel choked by the tears gathering in my eyes. I had both hands on my head.
I was stood and I began to pace around the little bedroom.
"Oh Cammie." She was the second girl that I was feeling this way about, after my prom date.
My first girlfriend and love was dead. She died in an air crash. The second girl that I dared to love got married without giving me any tangible reason why she was breaking up with me.
I sighed. Maybe this new guy was wealthy or maybe he had an attractive gun.
I was feeling so special because Camilla told me that I was the first guy that she was ever getting genuinely attracted to.
I foolishly fell for the lies that she told me.
I was so pained, I didn't hear the persistent knock on the door. "What? Go away!" I responded in irritation. "I don't want to see you, please go away." I didn't care to find out who it was, the response was the same.
Without my permission, I heard the door swing up.
"Who the fuck are you and why would you..." I turned around in rage. It was my new friend and the guy who helped me get a job.
"Dave." I said slowly, with less anger. "Camilla. She's gone." I knew what i said made no sense. But I couldn't bring myself to speak sensibly. "She is gone, Dave. Just like that! She's married. She's cheating. She's... She's..." My voice began to shake.
"Calm down." He strode over to me and crossed his arms around my shoulder. "Calm down brother. Talk to me calmly, that's the only way I'll understand."
I exhaled. Trying to find words to describe my disappointment and sadness. "You know the girl I told you of? The one that I told you I was going to elope with one of these days?" He nodded yes. "She's married." I paused, waiting for him to express shock but he didn't. I spoke on, he was probably not flowing with my story. If he understood what I said, he would be more surprised than he seemed now. "What I mean is that she got married recently and she called me today telling me to stay far away from her. She said that I should never call her, or try looking for her. She said that I should find a good girl and settle down with. She said a lot of things."
He frowned in disbelief and sighed sadly. "Ladies!" He exclaimed with a nod that expressed disappointment. "They'll always be ladies. Cheating on people who meant the best for them and not caring how anyone else but them feels. What do you plan on doing?" He seemed really sad for me, I wanted to just lay on his shoulders and cry.
But for reasons unknown to me, I felt restricted. "I'm going to get to the root of this. She didn't sound so happy breaking the news to me, and I think she's either under an influence or she has been abducted. Either way, I'll definitely get my girl back"
"No!" He recoiled. "No, you are not going to do any of that." He said more emphatically now. "You are going to forget about her like she asked you to. Men have to stop being the fools In relationships. You told me all that you did for her, and how much trouble you got into because of her. Well, she's really nice, but definitely not meant for you. If she was meant for you, she wouldn't forget about you so easily. I think she has met a really wealthy guy who has promised her all of what she thinks that you do not have. Listen to me, brother." He stopped speaking to catch his breath. He was breathing so heavily like he had been in an argument with someone. "I know the best for you and I want it. I have been with a lot of ladies, and I have met a lot of characters. That gender is made up of mainly gold diggers who only stay with the highest bidders. I can help you find another good girl if you want or give you time to heal. But promise me that it's over between you both."
