Chapter sixty six
Keddy's POV.
"What the fuck are you saying?" I threw both hands up in despair. "I know your girl cheated, but that doesn't mean every girl is evil."
He smiled at me. "Okay, what about the fact that your own girl is equally cheating on you right now?"
He wasn't completely wrong, must girls that I have crossed paths with all happen to be gold diggers. The few of them who knew that my father was extremely wealthy tried to date me by any means possible. Unknown to them, I cut all ties with him when I told him that I wasn't a member of the Sherlock Head Mafia Gangsters any more and that I didn't wish to continue living a life of crime.
Most of these ladies didn't care about the fact that all my father owned was gotten in a wrong way, all they wanted was the latest iPhone and designer clothings.
Back to the present, now that I do not tell anyone of my father's wealth because he and I don't get along anymore.
Ladies still flocked me. Maybe it was my good looks for them.
I even turned down the present diva of the city's request to go out with me, just because I knew I was committed to Camilla.
"Fuck love!" I was disappointed. I had such high hopes for her. I least expected her to hurt me. And even she would, why get married without me?
David seeing that I was already very hurt and pained continued to speak words to agitate me against females and Camilla. "How about I take you with me to see this girl. You'll love her so much. She's not loose, neither is she a whore. She just need some money badly, she's willing to let you spend a night with her. Afterwards, you both can move on. Or even start something from there. But you really need to clear your mind."
"No!" David knew my standards, I didn't believe in spending the night with ladies that I have no relationship with. I never for once considered doing that with Camilla, why would I think of spending the night with a stranger? "I hold my body in high esteem, I deserve better than a night with a stranger. Please excuse me, I wish to spend the night alone. I need to clear my head, and I don't need a woman to help me with that. Thank you for all your help, Dave. I appreciate."
"But..." He started again. He wasn't satisfied, and was willing to argue with me. David was impossible to win in an argument, but I had my resolve and nothing was going to change that. "You might get suicidal thoughts. Okay, what if we just go to a bar and get something to drink, just so you don't stay here feeling depressed. It's not safe for me to leave you here all by yourself, it's way too risky. Come on, bro. Don't you trust me?"
"I do." In a few minutes, I was dressed and ready to go with him. It was almost midnight, but that didn't mean anything to me. All I wanted to do was get thoughts of Camilla out of my mind. "Where are we going?" My head still felt heavy, I guess it was the tears that caused it.
"Just follow me, I promise you'll have a good time." We got into his mini van and drove down the streets. It was still bustling and busy, everyone went on with their normal routines. It was impossible to believe that it was almost midnight in a city made up of gangsters.
Little wonder the streets was always littered with corpse of people who fell victim of the claws of this blood thirsty gangsters.
"Don't you think it's really late? I mean you know how this city can be." I was beginning to get goosebumps and feel feel really nervous.
He turned to look at me, and gave a weird giggle after he had a good stare. "Aren't you a guy, Keddy? Do you think any gangster is interested in two young boys at the bar, trying to clear their heads?" He sighed, and took a sharp turn to the right into one of the most dangerous streets in the city.
"I have a bad feeling about this." My heartbeat was beginning to increase and I was sweating despite the fact that the air-conditioner was on. "Maybe we should go home." I said with a calm tone, turning around to face the road that we came through.
"Why should we go home when we are here already?" He matched on the break so hard, I jerked. I had my seat belt tightened, but that scared me to my bone marrow. "Come down scareddy cat, that's the bar we are going to in front of you." He pointed to a little kiosk ahead of us.
He got down first, and closed the door behind him. And then he stood with both hands on his waist, motioning on me to get down.
"Come on, chicken man! It's getting really late, you know. I wouldn't be out here risking my life if I don't love. Now, come with me."
I jumped down from the van, and closed the door as well. "Promise me we aren't going to spend time here, I don't feel so good about it."
"Oh boy, we won't take fifteen minutes in there, just come in already."
He held my right hand by my wrist and surged through the little crowd that was gathered outside the kiosk.
The building had no proper lighting, they used a little lamp instead of electric bulb.
It was strategically placed at different places in the kiosk, as if it was an intentional act to keep the kiosk dark.
"This place is really creepy." I said as we got closer. The inside smelt heavily of smoke and blood. "And disgusting too." I added with a lower tune.
"Yes, it is. This is home for all crimes that go on in the city. Come on in, Keddy. Come on in."
