Chapter Fifteen

Jwala:

He is working, and I felt tired. It's so annoying to sit idle.

"I am tired," I said slowly.

"Do you want to go home?"

"No!"

"Then?"

"I want to work."

"What? If you are tired you should sleep, shouldn't work" he said sternly.

"I am getting irritated sitting idle. Please, I will work."

"Didn't I tell you no? I still remember you being close to that fellow. You no need to do any job. I do not doubt you. But, I hate you being close to anyone. I am possessive of you, and I didn't want you to work" he said seriously scaring me.

"I am going to round the office. Now don't stop me" I said

"Jwala" before he says something, I got out of his cabin.

I am just rounding his whole office. Suddenly my colleague with whom I talked came to me.

"Hey Jwala, how are you? Where were you all these days? We won that project" he said

"Really?" I said happily.

"Yes, didn't you know this? Agni sir appreciated you a lot on that day, and he gave the whole credit to you."

"Oh!"

He didn't even talk about this to me.

"Whatever Jwala, I miss you. I missed your smile" he said holding my hand suddenly, and I wondered.

"But she didn't miss you. Not at all" I heard the voice and recognized it's Agni.

He came to me and kept his hand on my shoulder pulling me close to him.

"I mean Jwala never miss anyone if I am with her," he said looking at me.

I can sense his seriousness in his voice.

"By the way Mr. Eeshwar, I think you didn't know who is she. That's the reason you are talking to her so normally as a colleague. First thing, you should never call her by name because she is the head of this company after me. So call her madam. Secondly, she is my fiance, so never miss her because she will become Mrs. Agni soon and she will miss no one else except me" he said and held my wrist taking me with him.

"But sir, madam never said she is your fiance. I don't think she loves you. Every girl had the right to marry the one whom she loves."

He said, and Agni punched him.

"Agni please leave him."

He glared at me. I stopped and became silent.

"Look, her love should be understood by me and not you. Control your tongue. I dismissed you from the job and will settle your salary," he said and left to his cabin.

I went to him. He looked at me but didn't say anything. I sat before him.

"Are you hungry?" He asked.

"No why did you hit him?"

"Didn't you listen to what he said"

"I listened. Agni didn't say anything wrong."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean he is right. I don't feel for you. Who will feel for you after torturing me that much? I may choose anyone, maybe that Eeshwar too" I said playfully.

He came to me seriously which made me stand with fear. His eyes were red reflecting his anger. I moved back but stopped hitting a wall.

"I am sorry, please," I said.

"How dare you to talk like this with me? You should remember with whom you are talking" he said and kissed my lips.

He kissed me deeply yet softly. I got lost in his kiss. He left me when I started struggling for breath.

"Don't make me a beast again by talking like this. I am trying to bring the human in me which was in hibernation for a long time just for you and our baby. If you were not there in my life, definitely I will live a life of beast forever" he said.

"I never allow you to become a monster again, Agni. I want a good father for our baby. I can't give my baby a father who is a beast. I am sorry for my words" I said holding his hands and kissing them.

"You are adorable, Jwala. Only I had the right to kiss you or miss you. No one else had that right" he said cutely.

"Do you miss me anytime?" I asked.

He looked at me for some time.

"I don't know," he said

"Will you miss me if I leave?" I asked with tears.

He didn't answer.

"I know your care, love, concern everything are fake. You never care for me. You want only your child. Even if I leave, you will replace me with another girl. But you want your child, that's the reason you are showing this care. I hate you" I said and tried to leave.

But he held my hand.

"Please Jwala, don't get stressed. Take rest. Don't go anywhere alone, please."

I jerked his hand.

"I want some peace. I will come home after some time. Let me go now."

"You are not well."

"I am not going to die. Even if I want to die, I will die only after delivering your child."

"Shut up Jwala," he said gravely.

"Leave me Agni. I want to be alone for some time. Let me go."

"Ok, but our driver will accompany you."

"No"

"It's final Jwala. If you want to go without me, our driver will accompany you. If not, shut your mouth and sit here. I am already irritated with that fellow's words. Now you too don't hurt me" he said holding my wrist tightly.

"It's hurting," I said, and he left my hand immediately.

He looked at my wrist which became red with his hold. He rubbed my wrist and placed a soft kiss on it.

"Ok, send the driver," I said

"Ok, but you must be here after one hour, because you should have your lunch."

"Did you forget Mr. Agni that you have made me starve for three days??" I asked.

"I remember everything. You no need to remind me again and again" Agni said and called the driver.

I went to my favourite park and sat there. I know Agni never miss me. He won't miss me but is angry with Eeshwar when he said he missed me. Of course, I too don't like his words. But I want to hear such words from Agni. I am carrying his child. I have the right to receive his love and care. But he confuses me every time with his stupid behaviour. How can I marry a person whom I can't understand at all?

I don't think this relationship works. I should go away from Agni with my baby. He wants me as the mother of his child, but not as his wife or lover. It's been already one hour, and he started calling me. I switched off my mobile. I went away from that place without the driver's notice. I felt hungry. I went to a hotel and ordered food. I am about to have food, and he came there. He is fuming with anger.

"Ag... Ni"

He called the waiter and paid the bill. He held my hand and took me home. He threw me on the bed.

"Didn't I tell you that you should be back after one hour? Why did you go to the hotel without informing me? Who permitted you to have hotel food? Answer me" he yelled at me.

My eyes filled with water.

"I think you need severe punishment for this. Only then you will learn to respect me" Agni said very seriously.

"Please Agni, don't hit me, I am sorry," I said between sobs.

He came to me, and I closed my eyes tightly. He caressed my hairs.

"Why do you think that I will hit you? I never raise my hand against you anymore" he said pulling me close to him.

He wiped my tears.

"You are becoming too naughty these days. So your punishment is to spend three days with this beast. Let's go out to have fun" he said

"Really? Won't you go to the office?"

"No, I will be with you these three days. Let's go to my farmhouse. I am sure you will love it" Agni said cupping my face.

"I am scared. I thought you are mad at me."

"Of course I am. But from now your punishment will be bearing my love. Not something that hurts you" he said, and I hugged him.

"I will bring you lunch. You might be very hungry" Agni said.

He left, and I got a call from Eeshwar. I received the call without noticing Agni's presence.
