CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

Jwala:

I went into the living room and sat there covering my hands with palm crying. Vedika came to me.

"Jwala, what happened? Does Agni fight with you?"

I told her everything about my parents.

"How can parents be like this?" I asked.

"All parents are not good Jwala. Orphans too have parents. But they become orphans only when their parents leave them. That's why we should learn to live for ourselves rather than for others. Sometimes giving too much love is also a terrible mistake. The only one who stays with you forever is only you. Trust me no one can help you except yourself" Vedika said.

"Talk to Agni for some time. He is the best at making people strong because he experienced the worst before becoming this strong in his life."

"I don't want to talk to him. His love is fake. He loves his child but not me. No one loves me" I said

"What? Do you mean it? Agni doesn't know to act. His love is true for you. He loves your child because you are the one who is carrying his child. It means he loves you and obviously, he loves your unborn baby too."

"JWALA, WHERE ARE YOU?" he shouted.

"Jwala, now you need him and his love. He shouldn't yell like that. Please go" she said.

"Yes, he shouldn't shout. I will talk to him" I went to him.

"Are you mad? Why are you leaving when I am speaking? I don't like such kind of behaviour. Don't you have any respect for me? What do you think about me?" He scolded as soon as I went into the room.

"Shut up," I said which is audible only to him.

"What did you say? Are you asking me to shut up? How dare you? You are... "

I am fed up with his shouting. So, I shut his mouth by myself. He looked at me shockingly, but then he liked my way of closing his lips with mine. He kissed me back. He smiled breaking the kiss.

"Sorry baby for shouting at you. I love you, and that's why I feel irritated when you cry" he said.

"But you told that you love my tears."

"Yes, I love your tears but only when you shed those tears for me, not for others."

"Now forget everything. Just take rest and spend time with me. Vedika will take care of cooking for today. If you are with me, you will feel better" he said, and I nodded.

"I hate this world," I said.

"Jwala, don't think about this world just think about your world which is of love."

Love? Does it exist in this world? When my own family betrayed me, how can I expect Agni to love me truly? Maybe he adores the baby but does he love me? If he loves me why would he torture me to death in the past? He loves the only baby. I am sure he will start his torture again after my delivery. I will be just his slut or mother of his baby but not his beloved wife. After all who is he to me to love me? I am sure he will show his true colours after delivery.

"Sweety, what are you thinking? Do you think that I will change after childbirth? Jwala, I don't know how to make you trust my love. But, I am sure that I will never become a reason for your tears from now. You got hurt thinking your parents didn't like you. But baby, I am sure they will regret one day for missing a gem like you. You are sweet, and your heart filled with love is the rarest gift which God gave to you" he said, and I leaned on his shoulder.

Vedika gave dinner to us and left us alone. He fed me playing jokes and teasing me. I laughed at his jokes.

"Jwala, sleep on the bed beside me from today. We can manage" he said.

"But"

"No ifs and buts," he said.

I slept beside him on the bed. As I slept right side to him, he took me close and caressed my hairs.

"Jwala, this is life. Many unexpected things happen to us. But, we should never let our courage fluctuate. Only our courage helps us in every part of our journey" he said.

He talked continuously making me laugh, sometimes teasing me and finally, I slept in his arms.

Two months passed by so quickly. I changed my sim and had no contacts with my maternal family. Vedika became close to me. She started treating me as her younger sister. The doctor told to Agni that he recovered fast due to proper diet and care. Doctor permitted him to handle his company affairs. However, he should be cautious.

He told me that we are going back to our farmhouse. I asked Vedika to stay with us, but she refused to stay as we both are newlywed and must spend some time to understand each other well.

We returned to our home, and he went to the office. As he is with me for the whole two and a half month, I felt so lonely now as he went to the office. I called him in the lunch hour.

"Hello, tell me Jwala," he said in serious tone.

I think he is busy. When he is at home, he pampers me and never calls me by my name. But, when he is at the office, he will call me as Jwala and in his usual authoritative tone.

"Did you have your lunch?"

"Not yet dear, busy with work. After many days, I came to the company. I am a bit busy."

"Have lunch first."

"What about you?"

"I won't have lunch unless you have your food. I know you will neglect your food" I said cutely mocking a kid.

"Please Jwala, have food on time. You are carrying our baby."

"If your baby is important to you, you are important to me. Have food and take tablets" I demanded.

"Hmm, fine. Within five minutes, I will start my lunch" Agni said and disconnected the call making me pout.

He called back after 10 minutes.

"Sweety, I had my lunch. Now it's your turn baby" he said

"Thank you; I will have my lunch too," I said.

"I love you so much. You are the first person to call me to remind my lunch and force me to have food. You are sweet, and I will taste your sweetness after returning home. Your juicy lips will be my dessert as soon as I return, be ready to give me my share."

I blushed.

"Blushing? You look cute now. Do you think I can control myself for the next four months without having you."

"Enough now, have food first" I ordered smiling and blushing.

"Sure Mrs Agni, I never dare to say no to my queen's orders. Have food, see you soon, and love you."

"Love you too," I said and disconnected the call.

I smiled at his cuteness. As he said, he removed my fears and insecurities. I hope my life will be the same forever in his love.

At evening, I heard door knocking sound. I opened it, and my husband returned to take away my loneliness. I hugged him.

"I missed you so much," I said

"That's sweet. Finally, I had someone who waits for my arrival and misses me when I am away" Agni said kissing me on the forehead.

"Beautiful bouquet of roses for my rose," he said giving me a bouquet.

"Thank you. Now go and get fresh up."

"Definitely but not before tasting the dessert," he said and came towards me.

I escaped before he holds my hand.

"Playing with Agni? I will show what happens once I catch you" he said and kept his files on the table and tried catching me.

Finally, he caught me and made me lie on the bed and started kissing my lips. It's such a deep kiss. He explored my mouth thoroughly. He left my lips and kissed the corner of my lips and left me.

"You bit me," I said pouting showing mark on my lower lip.

"Aww," he said and touched it with his tongue and kissed softly again.

He got fresh up and had dinner. He took me for a walk on our farm.

"Agni, shall I ask you something?"

"What?"

"I.. I... Want to.. Meet... My family" I said

"No," he said.

"I decided to meet them."

"Decided? Who permitted you to take that decision?"

"You told that I could do whatever I want after your recovery."

"I said no. You are not going to meet your parents. That's it Jwala. Don't irritate me" he said holding my hand tightly.

I got out of his hold and went to the room.

"Jwala, why are you so stubborn to go to your maternal home?"

"Why are you so stubborn not to send me to my parents?"

"Because you will start crying again. After many trials, you came out of that depression. Now you are happy. I didn't want you to cry again."

"I am leaving to my village tomorrow that's it."

"If that's your decision, then I won't talk to you. Decide yourself"

"What do you mean Agni? You are trying to control me showing your authority on me."

"It's not like that Jwala; I didn't want you to get hurt."

"Enough, do what you want, but I won't be talking to you," he said.

He laid on the bed, and I too slept. He didn't take me into his arms. He slept turning another side.

"Agni, please."

"Shut up" Agni shouted at me and slept.

In the morning, I woke up and saw him packing luggage. Where is he going?

"Agni, I am sorry. Please don't go anywhere. I won't go to my village" I said looking at him.

He smiled and came to me.

"Good morning, my dear. Don't worry; I am not going anywhere. Where will I go leaving you? We are going to your maternal house today. But on one condition" he said

"What?"

"You shouldn't shed your precious tears, whatever happens, promise me."

"Promise," I said.

After having breakfast, we started in our car to my village. I want to confirm many things about my family and Agni. I met Aadarsh before two days which I hid from Agni. He revealed many things about Agni which I can't believe. I should confirm the information as I can't trust anyone.
