CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE

Agni:

After knowing that Jwala hid our baby and lied, I started being strict with her. I tried to teach her how to handle a child, but still, she is not ready to learn anything. I took her to a psychologist as a part of her regular check-up.

The thing told by doctor shocked me. The doctor said that Jwala loves me but not the baby. She is not interested in having a baby. But she does not hate her too. She had no feelings for the baby. The doctor told that she is trying to take care of our baby to impress me and regain my love.

I didn't understand how to react. So, I planned a tour and asked her to be a caretaker to make her close to the baby. But all she did was caring for me. I can feel her love, and I know that we love each other. She had least care or love for the baby. She is not enjoying her motherhood and was irritated by it.

She wants to enjoy love life with me. This responsibility of the child and my care for the baby is increasing her hatred for the baby. The doctor suggested me to stay away from her and give the baby to her. I am trying to do that, but suddenly Aadarsh and Jwala's brother filed a case against me. I became busy for a week but Vedika told Jwala is taking care of baby well. But only I know that she is doing that to impress me and to gain my love, not because she loves baby. I should do something to make her enjoy her motherhood.

Jwala is not a bad mother but was still immature to accept the fact that the child is a blessing for her. I didn't understand how to make her love our baby.

Next day I woke up and found her arranging clothes and stuff I need. It will be awesome if she shows at least one percent care on the child which she showers on me. I turned another side to kiss the baby, but she is not there.

"Jwala, where is the baby?"

"She is in my room. I heard her crying in the morning, so I took the baby to my room to calm her" she said.

"I didn't hear her crying. I don't think that I slept that deeply."

"Baby cried in my dream. I came immediately and took the baby with me. She is sleeping nicely hugging her dad where she tries to be away from her Mumma all the time" she said pouting.

"She can love Mumma only when she loves her but not when she feels her as a burden," I said rudely.

"When did I say that she is a burden to me?"

I went seriously to her and pinned her to the wall.

"Your behaviour says that. I know you don't love our child" I said holding her wrist tight.

"It's hurting me."

"I know," I said.

"Agni, you are hurting me. Leave me"

"What if I don't leave you?"

She became silent, and I found tears escape from her beautiful eyes, I left her hand and looked at it. Thank God, I didn't leave any marks by holding her hand tight.

"I love our baby, but I don't know anything. I can't hold her properly, can't make her eat or sleep without Vedika's help. It's Vedika who is feeding her and putting her to sleep. Not to make you angry, we both lied to you saying I was the one who did all works of baby" she said to me.

"I will learn if someone teaches me."

"I taught you already."

"No not completely, I am confused," she said.

"Please Agni try to understand me. I am feeling all alone when you are avoiding me. I love you and our baby" she said with tears.

Her tears had the power to make my heart melt. I looked at her. She is cute even in tears. I felt to kiss her but controlled myself.

"Today I have a meeting, so as usual, I will be late to home. But from tomorrow, I will give more time to you. I promise, excuse me for only this day" I said, and she nodded.

I caressed her hairs and rushed for the shower as I want to hug her and kiss her. But, I must control to make her love our daughter.

I went to the office, and at lunchtime, I went to a restaurant for meeting delegates. There, I saw Jwala with Adarsh. She is talking to him. Why did she meet him though she promised me that she would never speak to him? Is it to ask him to withdraw the case? What if he traps my wife again? This Jwala thinks she is sharp and falls into a problem. I should do something before she falls into a problem.

I called her immediately.

"Hello Agni"

"Where are you?"

"I.. I.. Am.. " she stammered to answer.

"Turn to your right side," I said, and she turned.

She shocked looking at me. I went near to her and held her wrist.

"What are you doing here without my permission? Didn't I tell you not to meet him?" I asked her seriously.

"Ag. Ni" she tried to say something.

"When you behave like this, she will get attracted to others Agni. Moreover, she knew that I am not bad but helpless as they blackmailed me," Adarsh said.

She looked at Aadarsh and then me. She shook her head in no.

"Agni, no I didn't... "

"I am not an idiot to trust the words of a fool. I know about my wife and her reason for meeting this b*st*rd" I said pulling her closer to me.

"Agni" Aadarsh shouted.

"Shut up yourself, or I will shut your bloody mouth forever" I warned him and took Jwala from there to home.

I threw her on bed rudely. She looked at me with an expression which confused me.

"Why did you meet him when I asked you not to meet him? You broke your promise too. Jwala, I am trying to control my anger and not to hurt you. But, you are forcing me to change into a beast again. It hurts you more than ever" I said to her.

This is irritating right now. I have lots of works to manage, i.e., company deals, cases, etc. I can't keep an eye always on her suspecting her to do something stupid. I know she met him only for me. But, I can't take it lightly because I didn't want her to spoil her life again in the process of saving me.

"Speak out Jwala" I shouted at her.

"I went for you," she said pouting.

"Did I ask you to help me? Do you think that fellow will pay heed to your request?"

"He didn't, he spoke idiotically," she said

"What did he say?"

She didn't speak.

"Jwala, before I lose my patience, tell me what did he say?"

"He said that if I... "

"If you?"

"If I return to him, and then he will withdraw the case."

"Enough. Stop it" I shouted at Jwala.

"You insulted me Jwala. I never like to request anyone."

"It's me who requested"

"You are my wife, Jwala. It makes no difference whether it's you or me whoever requests that idiot. When we both are one, it applies to me too" I said

"I took a decision Jwala. I have many works to manage. I can't always keep worrying about you. I should keep a check to your immature acts" I said to her, and she looked at me with a worried expression.
