CHAPTER FIFTY THREE

Jwala :

I was in my thoughts, and I felt Agni calling me.

"Did you or your baby want anything?" I asked

"Yes, your smile."

"What?"

"Why are you looking dull?" He asked playing with his princess.

"I think baby didn't like me."

He laughed loudly. I pouted and then slowly my eyes filled with tears.

"Hey don't cry Jwala, come here," he said.

I went and sat near him.

"Why do you think so?"

"Baby don't like when I hold her. She cries continuously."

"From last ten days, I was the one who pampered her, and she didn't see you. So she was comfortable with me than you. Soon she will become comfortable with you too. I am sure the baby will love you. See, if she comes to know about her dad's cruelty and mom's selflessness and how her mom changed her dad, she will love you more than me."

I didn't speak.

"Jwala no one can be without loving you, trust me."

"I don't think so. Baby hates me."

"No Jwala, baby can never hate you. Everyone loves you when they understand you well. There's magic in you. Even a rude and ruthless man like me loved you and now lived for you and our baby.

Do you know? Vedika proposed me after rescuing her. I said I don't love her and can never love anyone. I said I don't believe in love and cannot struggle in a relationship.

But, after meeting you and seeing your innocence, I fell in love with you. Jwala, you are not like this before, and it's not your nature. Please don't change yourself for others. Never plan revenge on anyone by putting yourself in danger and degrading your true self" he said.

"Soon this baby will become momma's girl, and then both Mumma and baby becomes together and makes dad alone," he said.

"No, We are nothing without baby’s dad. He is the one who is life to us" I said.

"Why are you crying now?"

"I remember my dad," I said

"Won't you stop finding reasons to cry?" He said

"You are scolding me."

"Yes if you cry I will scold you."

"Agni, really my dad treated me as you are treating our baby. I am not comparing you both. But, it's true he showed lots of love for me. I still can't believe that dad lied to me about grand pa's surgery for money" I started crying.

Agni hugged me.

"Jwala, please forget it. I too don't know why your dad changed a lot. But, I think because of the influence of your brother or Aadarsh. Anyways please leave it" he said.

"Ya, I am trying."

"I am getting a headache; I will take rest for some time. Take care of the baby" he said.

"Sure," I said and took the baby into my hands.

The baby started crying. She is crying so much, and Agni took the baby from me.

"What did you do to the baby? Why is she crying so much?"

"I didn't do anything, Agni."

"If you didn't do anything why will she start crying? If you miss your dad, it doesn't mean you can hurt my baby. I don't know why but you are so irritating. I am getting a headache, and you increased it now" he scolded and called Vedika.

Vedika came, and the baby was still crying. He didn't allow me to go near to baby. After 5 minutes, he called me near to him.

"See what you have done to my baby," he said.

I saw baby leg where there are few drops of blood. I understood that I didn't hold the baby properly and my nail pierced into her soft skin. Vedika immediately applied Dettol and cleaned it. He gave the kid to Vedika and asked her to leave the room, Agni pinned me to the wall. He is so close to me. He held my wrist so tight making me shed tears.

"Agni, please understand I didn't do it intentionally. I don't know to hold the baby" I said with tears.

"I am punishing you for hurting our baby," he said.

"Ok"

"You shouldn't touch the baby and stay away from both of us for two days. You are not allowed to speak to anyone for these two days except to me."

"Ok"

For two days, I stayed away from them as he ordered. After that, he got a sudden call, and we went back home immediately. He went to the office and came late at night to home. He is serious.

"Agni, are you ok?"

"It doesn't matter to you. Go and bring a coffee for me" Agni said rudely.

I brought coffee to him.

"Where is the baby? Did you feed her? What is she doing now?"

"She is in my room. Ya, I fed her carefully. She is sleeping now."

"Shall I serve you dinner?"

"No, I will serve myself. You can go and sleep. I will take the baby to my room. Every day she will sleep in my room and not with you. So, when you put her to sleep, make her sleep in my room" he said

"Ok, Agni today I got a call from dad," I said

"Is there anything important for me to know in their conversation?"

"They want to visit us to see the baby."

"No, they are not allowed to visit us, and you are not allowed to visit them. For God's sake Jwala, please be mature. They are not good. I don't understand how to make you realise their true nature. I can't handle you trusting everyone. Till now only you were fallen into the problem, but now our baby too will fall into a problem. Please Jwala, don't give them a chance to fool you."

"If you complete, I will speak."

He glared at me.

"I too said the same to them. I asked my dad never to call us again, and I am happy with my husband and our baby. Agni, I realised what they are. I won't fall into problems and never throw our baby into a problem."

"Sorry, I thought you want them to visit us as you remember your dad."

"No, now tell me why you are so dull?"

"Take these papers," Agni said.

He gave a file to me. I got shocked after reading those papers. I didn't expect this. I didn't understand what to do or how to react.
