CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

Jwala:

"I can't prove Jwala," Agni said.

"Why?"

"All the proofs are against me. I tried collecting CCTV footage of the hotel. I saw the man who tried molesting you, but I don't know him. I cleared the loan but asked to send the receipt to your home. I don't know how it reached Aadarsh. I checked the CCTV footage of our house but no one entered our house, and those photos which I took are still in my room. I am bewildered and didn't understand how they reached your parents" he said.

"Is your drama finished?"

"Jwala, please trust me. I didn't do anything" he said cupping my face.

"Jwala, I tried every route to find the truth, but I failed. I can make that Aadarsh and your family confess the truth if I use my power. But, if I use my power and men, I am sure you will become angry with me for hurting them. Without hurting them, I can't make them tell the truth."

"I can make the manager tell you the truth, but I am sure you will think that I influenced him. You didn't leave any way to prove myself. I am trying to find out the person who lied to you saying I sent you there. If I find him, I will get some clue."

"Agni, tell me one thing. Aadarsh or my parents are not that wealthy or influential to change the evidence. Ok, let's think Aadarsh took the receipt and lied to me. What about photos? How can someone steal photos from the great Agni who can make anything possible on Earth?" I said sarcastically.

"You are right Jwala. You told an important point to me. Yes, Aadarsh and your family are not that powerful to trouble me. That means there is someone else who is more powerful and smarter than me. But, who is it?" He said.

"Maybe my enemy or business rival," he said again.

I am looking at him, and he suddenly pulled me towards him. My lips are touching to his lips, and he smirked.

"I never thought you are smarter than me," he said, and I glared at him.

"But, I am happy to realise that fact. If the wife is too smart than a husband, a husband can relax in everything leaving to wife. Husband can be free."

I didn't speak. But, I don't know why I felt to smile at Agni's words. He is trying hard to make me coolheaded and get my love back.

"When you are this smart, why can't you understand that your husband is innocent?"

"Because he is not," I said

"That's your doubt Jwala, but he is innocent."

"I want to be away from all this Agni. I want to stay away from here for a while."

"Fine, I will make arrangements. But, please be in touch with me" Agni said kissing my forehead.

Within two days, he took me to Simla where he had a cottage. The surroundings are so serene and pleasant. He made all arrangements for me to stay. Vedika accompanied us, and he asked her to stay with me. I refused, but his seriousness calmed me.

He is leaving and asked me to come into the room.

"Jwala, take care of yourself and our baby. Have food and rest. Take medicines on time. However, your food, medicines and check-up will be taken care of by Vedika. Receive my calls; I will call you from time to time."

"I want peace Agni," I said bending my head.

He smiled hiding the pain.

"At least can I call you once a day or does it disturb your peace?"

He is talking, and my phone rang.

"Receive the call when I leave. At least talk to me for some time."

"Hello Aadarsh," I said receiving the call, and he clenched the fist.

"Bye Jwala," he said and left immediately to his residence.

I disconnected the call as my eyes started flowing tears. It's been a week now. I didn't receive Agni's call at least once though Agni called me every day. I blocked him on WhatsApp as he started messaging me very often. He messaged me on mobile to talk at least once. However, I ignored his messages too.

Vedika tried to convince me, but I told that I would talk to him only when he proves himself innocent. One month went on without any change. I am in the room, and someone knocked on the door. I opened it thinking Vedika. But, it's Agni.

"Agni"

"Why are you not receiving my call?" He asked pushing me a bit into the room.

He was drunk. He closed the door and looked at me. His looks scared me to hell.

"Agni, leave the room. You were drunk."

He smirked.

"Yes, I am drunk. Otherwise, I can't make you listen to me" Agni said.

He held my wrist and threw me on the bed. He came top of me grasping my hands tight.

"Leave me Agni. You are doing wrong" I said.

"Shut up. I am not that cheap to force my wife and not at all when I know she is all mine. I just came to talk to you. I am dying to listen to your voice, and you are ignoring me. Now, shut up and open your mouth to answer my questions" he said kissing at the corner of my lips making me blush.

"Or I will make love to you, and it will hurt me. You didn't want anything to happen to me, right?"

"Ask me," I said freeing my hands from the grip.

"What do you need? Proofs? Fine, prove to me that you are virgin before sleeping with me" he said placing soft kisses on my neck and taking full control over me.

My hands encircled his neck.

"Answer me, baby," he said kissing me again.

"I think I had a lot of effect on you. My one touch and kiss are enough to make you melt in my love. That's great."

He said increasing the sweet torture. I don't know what he is doing or asking.

"Baby, tell me the answer, or you will get painful love bite from your beast husband," he said

"How is it ...possible? I mean ...now I am not.... a virgin. So, I can't prove" I said in a shallow voice to escape his love bite.

"Prove me that you didn't love anyone before me," he said and rubbed my cheek and lips with thumb and forefinger.

"I can't."

"Ok, prove that you didn't go to that hotel by yourself to sleep with him and he is not your boyfriend," he said, and I slapped him.

"If I question your character, you slapped me. You questioned my character several times. How many slaps do you deserve?" He said counting.

"Total 6 times, I will slap you six times," he said.

"Agni, leave me," I said.

"Then who will give you those slaps," he said raising his hand.

I closed my eyes tightly. I felt Agni kissing me six times. I opened my eyes.

"I am not as stupid as you are. I trust my wife and her character. Even if the entire world says wrongly about her, I won't trust them. I trust only you. Jwala, we can't show proofs for everything. Sometimes, our heart becomes the only proof" he said and left me.

"Right now, we are moving to our home. I cannot stay away from you. I realised it. One month is such a long time for me. When you left, I am changing into a beast again. I don't want to go back, so you must come back to me. Even if you fight with me it's fine, but you are going to stay with me" he said seriously without leaving a chance for me to say No.
