CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Jwala:

I am in the car going to my home, but I didn't want to go leaving him alone. I know he is mad at me. I shouldn't have upset him on his special day. I thought for some time and got an idea to make him happy and remove his anger. I called a hotel and booked a suite with a kitchen in the town. I asked the driver to drop me there.

I got down and asked the driver to help me with the plan.

"Brother, please call Agni and tell him that I met with an accident. I planned a surprise for him" I said

"Madam, I am sorry. I can't do that. Because sir hate lying and if I do it, definitely he will fire me from the job."

"Please, your sir is mad at me. He won't come if I call him. I want to make him happy on his birthday. He won't remove you from the job; I will talk to him. Please call him. I can't leave him alone on his birthday, please."

"Ok madam" he agreed though he didn't want to lie to him.

The driver called Agni. He received the call.

"Sir, actually...."

"Tell me," he said

"Jwala madam met with an accident."

"What? How did it happen? I told you to drop her safely at her home. How did she meet with an accident? Where is she and how is she? I am coming."

"Sir, Jwala madam, asked me to drop in the town and I dropped there. While crossing the road, Madam met with an accident."

"What? What is she doing in the town?"

"I... I.. Don't... Know sir"

"Where is she?"

I asked the driver to say hospital name near to the hotel where I booked a suite.

"Give mobile to her."

"Sir, madam is unconscious."

"I am coming," he said and disconnected the call.

He came within half an hour. I asked the driver to send him to the room. I heard the door knocking sound. My hands got shivered to open the door as I know he will be damn angry at me for my prank. Hope he won't upset the plan. I opened the door, and he came inside. I pressed the remote and rose petals fallen on him. He threw off the petals seriously.

"What is this bullshit? Why are you becoming mad day by day Jwala? I told you to go home. You didn't obey my words and instead lied to me. Look, I have many problems in my life, and you don't create another problem for me" he yelled at me and sat on the bed.

"I thought to surprise you."

"I hate such surprises. You are not leaving even a single chance to irritate me. I am controlling my anger not to hurt you. But you are testing my patience. That's why I never involved in stuff like love and marriage. The most stupid thing I have done is to fall in love with you. I don't understand why girls wish boys to roam around them all the time, once if they fall in love. Do you think I have no work? You have no trust in me and what's the need of planning stupid surprises" he scolded as if he wants even after noticing my tears.

"I just thought to make you happy by surprising you," I said slowly pouting and looking at him.

"I was scared knowing you met with an accident."

"Sorry," I said holding my ears.

He didn't react.

"Please Agni, I want your birthday to be memorable. You know what. I told my parents that I am going to my friend's home in town and will stay tonight too there. I didn't want you to feel lonely today."

"Is it only for today?" He said

"No, until I am alive."

I said looking at him with love. He stood up and hugged me.

"I love you," he said.

"Love you too. Shall I stay with you the whole day today, please."

"I too don't want you to go. Not only today but forever."

"That will happen if you prove that you are innocent."

He broke the hug and touched my lip with his index finger. I got shivered.

"Ag... Agni, leave me please."

"I love you a lot," he said kissing on the forehead.

"I want to be with you forever in your love" he kissed my cheeks.

"You are the only light of hope in my dark life," he said kissing my chin.

"If there is anyone who had the power to change me by hook or crook, it's just you" he kissed my neck.

God, what is he doing to me? He lifted me in arms and put me on the bed. I lowered my eyes to hide blushing. I remembered that hotel scene again. I felt to push him away, but I controlled myself as I don't want to hurt him for the third time on his birthday. His looks went down to my neck. I chose not to stop him if he wants me. After all, I am his wife now. He had that right too on me. But, he didn't undress me.

"The only one who can make me angry, smile, laugh, happy, feel blessed is YOU" he kissed my hands and palm.

"The only one whom I had hurt the most is YOU," he said kissing my right foot.

"I have done many mistakes in your case before marriage, but I have done none after the wedding. Sometimes even our eyes betray us. Trust your heart to understand the facts before I prove it. I want our relationship never to break and stay until my last breath. I promise you that there will be no woman in my life except you from now and I will never let tears flow from your eyes anymore" he said kissing my left foot.

If it's not he who did that, then who was that? Is it Eeshwar who plotted all this against us? I think I should go back to the city with Agni for a month cancelling this marriage by faking some reason to my family and telling the truth to Aadarsh that I love Agni. That's the only way I had to escape from this marriage and find out the trustworthiness of Agni.

Agni came to me and pulled me towards him.

"So what's the plan for today," he asked.

"This is my friend's hotel. I took permission to cook by myself for you. So, tell me what you want for lunch."

"Anything that you prepare with your beautiful hands will be delicious. Prepare anything you like."

"Ok, wait here in the room. I will just come"

I prepared his favourites and returned to the room. I opened the door, but I didn't find him. I searched and heard his voice from the balcony attached to the bedroom. I thought to call him but stopped overhearing him talking on a call.

"I know it, mom. Except you, maybe there is no one to worry about my health. As you knew me from childhood, you want to be alive. But frankly, I have no one who wants me to be alive. But I regret dragging Jwala into my life in the name of marriage as I don't know about my health condition."

Why does he think that I don't care if anything happens to him? He was aware that I care for him. Why is he talking about death? Is his life at risk? Is he alright? Who is this mom when his mom is not alive?

"Mom, I will try to get ready for surgery next week. Before that, I should prove to my wife that I love her. Someone is playing with her emotions. I must stop that hidden person. I already transferred my property to Jwala's name and dad's property to Ved and Anju. So even if something happens to me, they won't face any problem. Before surgery, I should make Jwala too strong to withstand anything."

"No mom, I said I am having a disease related to the heart. I didn't reveal her the entire truth."

Not told the truth? Is it not a heart problem? Then what is it? What is that he is hiding from me?
