CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Jwala:

I received Eeshwar's call.

"Hello"

"Jwala, this is Eeshwar. Why is that Agni behaving so insane? It's your life, and you have every right to choose your life partner. I am sure he is not correct for you. I love you, Jwala. If you agree, I will marry you. I am not scared for that Agni."

"Did you finish your words Mr. Eeshwar?"

"Jwala what I mean is... "

"Let me speak Mr. Eeshwar. Who told you that I am not in love with Agni? Agni is my would be. Who are you to decide that whether my Agni is right for me or not? Why should I give clarity to you about my feelings on Agni?

What do you know about Agni? For me, he is always a very loving and caring person. I feel lucky to have him in my life. He is my everything. Never try to contact me again, or I will file a case on you for harassing me and insulting my would be" I said and disconnected the call.

Who is he to call Agni as insane? Of course, he is crazy, but only I had the right to call him crazy. I turned back and saw Agni standing there. I looked at him.

"Can't you bear anyone insulting me?"

"Only I had right to insult you or praise you. No one else can" I said mocking Agni.

"I think you almost became better half of this Agni" he smiled.

"Come on, let me feed you lunch. Here is your favourite curry" he said and started feeding with so much love.

"Agni, how do you know my likes," I asked.

"Magic"

"No more talking, first have your food," he said and diverted the topic.

I had my lunch, and he asked me to take rest for some time as in the evening, we will be going to his farmhouse. I slept. I opened my eyes; I saw him packing my luggage.

"Why didn't you wake me up to pack my luggage?" I said

"No problem, I packed everything you need for three days. Now get ready, my dear baby. We will leave for our farmhouse, and I am sure you will have a great time with me" he said winking his eye.

I acted as if I ignored his action though I blushed with his act. I wore a simple saree and kept simple jewellery with no makeup. He came to room putting luggage in the car. He stared at me for some time.

"What happened Mr. Agni? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You are beautiful. I am surprised how I missed this beauty all these days."

He said and touched my waist in an uncomfortable way to me. I felt something wrong but ignored the thought as I decided to trust him. But my heart started warning me to be careful, and it may not be safe for me to go with him to his farmhouse.

"Are you ok sweetheart?"

"Ya, I am ok," I said smiling.

"Shall we go?"

I nodded and went with him to the farmhouse. He showed his mom's photo to me which is hanging on the wall.

"She is my mom. Till now no one came here. No one knew my mom. I love this place as it's her only memory" he said

"Yes, it's very peaceful and pleasant. I love these orchards and flower plants. This farmhouse is fantastic" I said looking out at the garden.

"Agni, where is your mom now?"

"She is not alive."

"Oh, I am sorry."

"What about your father?"

"You are not supposed to know that for now," he said earnestly.

How can he have such mood swings? God! if I marry him, I will go mad with these mood swings.

"My father is living in the orphanage which you saved," he said looking at me thoughtfully.

I didn't know why but I was so scared.

"Don't panic. I am not angry with you now" Agni said cupping my face.

The maid came and gave juice to me. I took it, and she went off.

"Agni, I didn't want to drink this. I am fed up with drinking juice many times a day."

"But you are weak, baby. You need a proper diet. You don't like even fruits to eat. So you must take fruits in the form of juice."

"No, I don't want to drink, please."

"Please baby, drink it for our child."

"Nooo," I said

He made me sit on his lap on the sofa and took the glass from my hand.

"Please have it for this one time, and next time I will think of some other idea to make you take fruits, please sweetheart," he said and made me drink the juice.

I loved his pampering and the way he feeds me food and makes me drink juice. I kissed his cheek, and he looked at me shockingly.

"So my innocent baby knew even to kiss, how sweet?" He said and turned me towards him placing many kisses on my face and neck until I pout.

"Agni, leave me, please. I want to see your garden."

"Sure come let's go," he said and showed me the entire garden.

"Agni you know something. If we are going to stay here after marriage, at least for this lovely garden, I will marry you."

"So you are ready to marry me for a child and this garden too, but not for me."

"Agni, I am trying hard to forget the past but still I can't. Moreover, I am unable to feel the love on you; my heart still fears for you. I want you to change completely. Only then maybe my heart feels for you. Don't misunderstand my kindness as love."

He got a call, and his expressions changed to a serious one.

"I will just come," he said and went far to talk, but I followed him.

He didn't notice me.

"No, I want him to die at any cost. Kill him. That too before we reach the city. Don't touch children. I want everyone to be safe except him" he said seriously and turned towards me.

"I will call you again. Complete the work fast" Agni said and disconnected the call.

"Jwala"

"About whom are you talking?"

"It's not related to you sweety. Come let's go inside" Agni said keeping his hand on my shoulder.

"Don't touch me Agni. First, tell me whom are you going to kill? How can you kill a person?"

"I am planning to kill a killer."

"I am leaving," I said and ran to room with tears.

I am packing my luggage, and he came to me.

"Jwala, please listen."

"I didn't want to hear anything. You are a killer. I don't want to give my child a father who is a criminal. I will leave" I said crying.

"Jwala, you are misunderstanding me. Sweety, I am not a criminal. Look, if we kill a good person, it's wrong. But if we kill a person who destroyed the lives of many and deserves to die, it's not wrong. Please understand me, don't leave" he said cupping my face.

"If you want me to stay here, then stop them from killing that person. Or leave me. Choose whether you want me and our child or your revenge."

"I can't leave him."

"Then leave me."

"Enough, shut your mouth and stay here. I will break both your legs if you blackmail me one more time that you will leave. It's not your wish to leave. I want you and our child. I won't allow you to go anywhere, Understand" he shouted at me making me cry more.

He never changes. I am a fool for trying to transform this person as a human. I touched my belly. How can I tell this unborn baby that his/her father is a criminal, womaniser and had all the bad qualities in the world? I don't want him in my life. I want to go away from him. I slept crying.

"Jwala, have your dinner," he said.

"I don't want."

"Jwala, Please have it. I shouldn't have shouted at you. I didn't want you to leave, so I reacted badly. Forgive me or punish me but don't stay hungry and stress yourself" he said making me sit on his lap.

He tried to feed me.

"I said I don't want" I shouted at him and threw the plate.

He clenched his fist and threw me on the bed from his lap.

"How dare you to throw the food. Clean it now" Agni growled.

I didn't move.

"I said clean it now. Or do you want to taste my anger again?" Agni yelled at me.
