CHAPTER 50

OLIVIA'S POV.
"What are you doing here, Julian?" I asked him, looking around to be sure that no one was around.
"Why else would I be here? To rescue you, of course." He said to me like I had asked a silly question.
He placed his hands on the bar and tried to get it opened. I cleaned the tears away from my swollen eyes and that other as when I saw that he was completely naked. I screamed in shock and he stopped what he was doing. Because of the internal injuries I had already sustained, I threw up blood and held my stomach to keep myself in check.
"I'll kill them!" Julian shouted and I whimpered.
"Why...why are you...naked?" I asked in between breaths.
I looked at him again and I saw that the left side of his stomach was very red and still had a slight mark. I began to cry again when I realized that he had been injured with a sword and the wound must have been very deep when he first got it. If it weren't for his wolf strength and the accelerated healing power every werewolf has, I was sure that he wouldn't have been able to walk anymore by now; that is if he hadn't bled to death already.
"You are injured," I said to him in between sobs.
"Doesn't matter. All I need to do right now is to get you out of this God-forsaken place." He told me.
"You have to leave, Julian. It is a trap from those two people. You are probably doing what they wanted you to do right now, Julian. Please, leave," I told him slowly while trying to catch my breath.
Julian banged on the door of the dungeon room I was in out of fury when he couldn't open the door no matter how hard he tries to open it.
"Julian...listen to me," I admonished him.
"Just keep quiet, Olivia. Let me concentrate on what I am doing right now because there is no way I am leaving this place without you." He said to me in a concerned voice.
"But..." I tried to get up to go overtime where he was but my strength failed me and I fell back to the ground.
"Olivia, move back." He warned me.
I looked up and I saw that his entire arms had turned into that of a wolf. He was capable of partial shifting? I thought in amazement. Throughout history, only a few people had ever been able to achieve partial shifting and they were known as the greatest werewolves. That means that he was on his way to being one of the greatest werewolves that ever existed in the history of supernatural beings.
"You can shift partially?" I asked him.
"Yes, for over two years now. Move back a little more, Olivia. I need to shift completely and use my wolf strength to break this gate down." He told me.
I moved into the back of the room weekly when I saw my mate shifting completely. His wolf roared and I felt my wolf relax in my head a little from all the anxiety she's been feeling for a while now. I winced as Julian began to hit the gate in his wolf form using his hands, his legs, and his head. But still, the gate refused to make way.
"Julian, listen to me and leave," I pleaded with him but the only answer I got from him was a loud groan indicating his disapproval of the worse I had just spoken.
"So glad of you to join us, Alpha Julian."
I had a voice say to Julian and I froze. I said Julian did the same thing too when I looked at his face. Together, we turned to see Alpha Leo and the witch standing at a safe distance and staring at us in amusement. Before I could utter a word, Julian sprang around and he moved to pounce on his brother. Before he could get to either of them, the witch sang an odd tune and Julian slumped down.
"No!" I screamed at them. "Let him go, you bastards!" I screamed again. I stood up to rush to him but I fell again.
"See? I told you, didn't I? If you want to catch a monkey, you just have to turn to a gorilla." The witch told Alpha Leo with laughter.
Leo also laughed at the words the witch had spoken and he began to beat up my mate. I cried and pleaded for them to stop but he wouldn't stop. Every time Julian tried to shift back into his human form, Leo would kick him hard until the shift would stop midway and Julian would return to his human form. Each time he tried to lift his paws to attack the other man too, the hand would drop on its own.
I crawled until I got to the bar that separated me from the people tormenting my mate and me. I clapped my palms together and began to please again in a very high voice for Alpha Leo to stop. When Leo kicked Julian in the chest and I saw my mate gushing out blood from his mouth, I lost control of myself completely.
"I'll kill both of you!" I screamed at the two of them.
I felt my blood cussing and my bones stretching and contrasting every which way. I yelled at the pain I felt from the first shift I ever made. A minute later, I felt myself prancing about and my wolf growled loudly. I held the bar that had been used to enclose me and pulled it out from the root. Energy ran through my veins and I fixed my eyes on the two people who had dared to touch my mate.
I rushed over to the man who had been the one to inflict the pain, ignoring his frightened look. I slapped him hard across the face with my paw and he let out another loud shrill. He tried to dodge my next attack by trying to run away from me but I dialed him with my four paws. My wolf howled loudly in his ears and he shivered. I lifted my paw and slashed his chest with one of my fingers. The shriek he gave only made me feel a lot vengeful toward him.
Feeling like the only thing the man deserved from me was death, I raised my paw and was about to slash his neck open when the witch's next words stopped me from making good my intentions towards the man.
"Wait." She told me.
I tilted my head halfway to listen to what she had to say. However, I didn't raise my paw down to lessen the hold I had on Alpha Leo. When the man thought that my concentration was lost and he tried to push me away from him, I turned back to him and sneered at him.
"Let's strike a deal first." The witch said.
I turned back to her again, this time it was confidence as I was sure that none of them would dare to make any rash move at me again.
"I can revive your lover as long as you agree to my terms." She said to me.
I retracted my claws immediately and I felt my wolf withdrawing back. Slowly, I regained my human form and I locked my eyes on the witch once again.
"What are the terms?" I asked her.
"Sacrifice your life in the place of your mate." She said in a nonchalant voice.
"Sacrifice my life? How?" I asked her.
"None of your bloody business. I just need you to accept that simple term of mine and I promise to revive him." She said to me and she pointed to Julian's unconscious form.
"I agree upon your honor," I said to her.
She chuckled and she nodded her head. I knew that she understood that in other words, if she failed to revive my man, she and Alpha Leo would be breathing their last.
As if this was the cue Alpha Leo needed from me, he pushed me away from him roughly and I landed on my backside in a little pain. I looked at him and I saw him looking at my naked form in a very lustful way. I sat up and held my knees to my neck to protect my image.
"I disagree." He told the witch.
"I didn't ask for your opinion, Alpha Leo." The witch said in a voice that should have hushed him immediately.
"I want both of them to die, not just her. Julian stole my woman from me and so he deserved to die. She shamelessly allowed him to mark her, so when deserved a death penalty also." He told the moon goddess.
When I heard that, I tried to return to my wolf form but I found that I couldn't again anymore but I didn't let it show to either of them. Instead, I ran over to Julian and held my arms around him in a protective manner.
"I already promised her and I never got back on my words!" The witch yelled at Alpha Leo.
I began to pray in my heart that they would fall out with each other and began to fight. That way, their attention would be divided and I would be able to escape with Julian.
"And I am telling you I want her to die!" Alpha Leo yelled at the witch too.
The witch didn't say anything and she only flicked a finger at the Alpha she had been working with and the man fell flat to the floor.
"How dare you?!" Alpha Leo shouted at her.
"Calm down, will you?" She asked him.
"Why?" Alpha Leo asked in a rage.
"Because you need to look at the big picture here. If she sacrificed herself, then you can have immeasurable powers that had never been seen or heard about in the werewolf world." The witch said to him.
"And so? Would that stop that idiot on the floor from being my brother?" He asked in anger.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Alpha Leo. Look at the big picture once again. If you have the most powers, then killing him would be as easy as A.B.C was." The witch told him.
He looked at me with a murderous gaze and at that moment, I wished that I could make myself as small as I possibly could.
"Thank you lucky star you and your boyfriend were able to escape my clutch today but I promise that it won't be long before I have you two trapped again." Alpha Leo shouted on me.
"Do I have your words that you won't kill her or your brother?" The witch asked.
"I'll try not to." He answered her.
She flicked her hand in front of him again and Alpha Leo regained his power. He rushed to me the moment he was set free and held me firmly by the neck until I started gagging for breath. I held his hands that were around my neck tightly in an attempt to dislodge his hold on my neck but he couldn't be moved. When I couldn't hold it anymore, I began to choke, and then, I fainted out of the lack of air in my lungs.
LEO'S POV.
I felt a lot of satisfaction from knowing that I could inflict pain on the woman who had tried to kill me. The way she had me pinned down in front of the witch was more than enough humiliation that I could just let her get away with.
"I told you not to touch her!" I had the witch yell at me.
"Don't worry, she merely fainted," I told her with satisfaction.
"You-"
"-Alpha, there are some men outside chanting the cry of war for their Luna to be released."
One of my men said, interrupting whatever the witch wanted to say.
"What?" The witch said.
"Let's go and check it out," I told her and she affirmed with a nod. "Lead the way," I told the guy that had reported the situation to us.
"Yes, Alpha." He replied to me.
He went out of the dungeon and the witch and I followed after him.
