Killian
I maintain eye contact with Serena, even though I am aware that the energy between us becomes stronger with each passing second. I don’t know how to explain myself without telling her the truth about Kyzer.
Even if I virtually screamed in her face that we're mates, she doesn't seem to mind. I'm not sure if she sensed it or if I was the only one who did. Because simply by looking at her that way, I can tell she doesn't care about me. So I exploded when she mentioned her ruined wedding.
She got on my nerves. And I realize that all these years, I haven't simply been protecting her from those who seek to harm her. But by keeping her safe all the time, I was doing myself a favor. Fuck! Who would be the fool who would catch the poison arrow simply to make sure she wasn't harmed?
"You idiot."
"Shut up Zion"
"Of course, it's you and only you."
"Let's be honest, Killian. Not all of my mates would live happily ever after."
Serena remarked. She then took the first step through the door.
"Wait, I will go first." As she rolled her eyes, I added. Serena, on the other hand, came to a halt and clutched her chest.
"Killian, it hurts."
My eyes widen as I recall her turning into a wolf on her birthday. I loathe myself. Today was her birthday, and I almost forgot about it. Is it normal for her to have these feelings? She'll become used to it after that, and she'll be able to turn anytime she wants. This is the most difficult thing for our wolves.
"Killian, it hurt!" Serena was yelling, so I led her back to her chamber, but I was afraid that if she stayed inside, the castle would be destroyed.
When I saw and heard her every bone-breaking, I was terrified.
I carried her.
"Baby, just bear with it for a little while." It isn't going to take long. I'll take you to the turning site so you don't hurt anything."
While sprinting with Serena in my arms, I murmured.
"What is happening to my daughter Killian?"
As I noticed the Alpha approaching us, my eyes were wide awake. I assumed he was looking after Luna's dead body. But because I didn't stop running, the Alpha followed me.
"Your highness, Serena was turning. She had to be brought to the turning house before she could fully turn or he would damage or worse, make this collapse in her power."
I started this because I can sense her power. "Serena's power may have been enhanced since she was with you. Killian."
I came to a halt as the realization hit me that a mate has a strong effect on each other. Serena's strength grew greater as a result of my presence, as Zeon predicted.
"Why did you stop Killian?" The Alpha asks
"Your Highness Because I was with Serena, I believe I see why her strength was growing. The Alpha looks confused.
Serena's body tilted again, causing her to scream, so I bolted. I could see she was in a lot of suffering, and it saddened me to see her in that state. While sprinting faster, I stare at the Alpha. I was undecided about telling him or not. But if I didn't, Serena would be more powerful and she could destroy the turning house of our pack. And since she was royal blood that transformed on this full moon. Her royal blood add to her power she could escape away and no one would be able to stop her.
"Your highness, Serena was my mate. I'm sorry, I just discovered it. The more she stays with me the greater her power becomes."
"What did you say?" I sigh as I close my eyes. My daughter's mate was Zeta and he was now a married man. Killian, how didn't you notice? There's no way you didn't feel like she was your mate this past few years you've been together."
I sank hard. "Even if I noticed that back then, your highness, I'm sorry, but Serena and I couldn't be. I was merely the son of a Zeta. I was nothing compared to the man you chose for her."
"Idiot," The Alpha said.
Serena is taken into my arms by the Alpha, who sighs. However, I feel empty for what he did. I couldn't argue or fight with him.
"For the time being, I'd look after her. I suppose you may go home and take a rest. If what you say about the mating issue is true, you must be separated for the time being so Serena does not add more energy. We'll discuss you and Serena's problem after this.
After the Alpha and his guard bolted, I was completely taken aback.

Kyzer"
"Why do you do it? Why do you have to kill the Luna? Damn Kyzer. Did you realize that as a result, all of our plans crumble? We're almost there, for Pete's sake. I'm sure the beta would have been unhappy if he had known."
For the tenth time, Uncle Colton yelled. While I remained engrossed on the map that had cost Luna's life,
"You committed a tremendous blunder and showed no remorse for it. How did you come to be the way you were?" uncle threw in.
"Relax, uncle. I understand how frustrating it may be. Nothing changes even if I scream at the top of my lungs. If the Luna was dead or alive. I'm ready to make another plan. Is there anything more you want me to do? What do you think to suppose to happen if the Luna saw me stealing this fucking map and I didn't kill her? Uncle, let's try to see the bright side. I'm sure the Alpha's grief at the loss of his wife would have a significant impact on him now. The only thing left for us to do now is to wait."
Uncle Colton groaned and sat down on the sofa. We're at his house, inside his office. Even though I don't want to return here after what happened yesterday. I had to tell him that it was me who had done it. So he would do something if their investigation pointed to me or Killian since we were sharing the same face and all of the people didn't know that he had a twin.
I'm afraid I'm going to drag my brother into a sin he didn't commit. And I'm not all that horrible person. I was doing all of this for my twin and my family, not for myself. Also, perhaps, to my future family.
It is our right to be free of this dreadful isolation place.
