Chapter hundred and thirty

Dallas

My head hurts.

That was the first thing I realized immediately I opened my eyes. The second was the dimly lit room. The curtains were drawn open, letting in the moonlight.

I sat up on the bed and reached for my phone on the nightstand. A gasp fell out of my mouth when I saw what time it was.

It was three in the morning. How did I sleep for so long? I remembered training with Oliver in the gym, then the conversation that happened after.

My head hurt as I tried to recall more. I eventually gave up.

My eyes fell on Oliver's sleeping face just inches away. A smile touched my lips as I continued staring at him.

Memories of the way he comforted me earlier came rushing into my mind. It made my smile grew wider. He had held me through everything and I couldn't be more grateful.

I inched closer to him and laid back on the bed, my eyes never straying from his face. I lifted my hand and brushed off the few strands of hair falling on his face.

“Thank you,” I whispered even though I knew he couldn't hear me.

“Thank you so much for everything.” I continued. “I love you.”

I brought my face closer to his and planted a small kiss on his lips. He groaned loudly as I pulled away. His eyes fluttered open.

“What are you doing?” He rasped, his deep voice sending tingles down my spine.

“Saying thank you for everything.” I smiled.

Our faces were so close to each other that we basically breath in each other's air. Despite the closeness and the dim light in the room, I could see the intense desire in his eyes.

“I like the way you choose to wake me up, Little Monkey.” he said, his voice laced with amusement.

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to himself. I let out a small squeal at the sudden movement. He placed his other hand in my hair and stroked gently.

“How are you feeling now?” He asked, the desire in his eyes softened to concern. But I could still feel the clear evidence of his erection pressing against my front.

“Shouldn't I be asking you that? You're the one with an injured leg.” I chuckled.

“You passed out earlier.” He said softly.

I didn't recall much after what happened at the gym. It just felt like a deep sleep.

“I'm fine. I must have been tired after crying for so long.”

A hint of anger flashed in his eyes at the mention of my tears. I was certain the anger wasn't directed at me.

“Why do you have that look on your face?” I asked, despite already knowing why. But I needed to distract him from his anger somehow.

I shifted closer to him and forced my leg between him till his erection was positioned in front of my entrance.

I assumed it was Heather who changed me since she didn't bother with pajama bottoms. If it was Oliver, I would be wearing one of his shirts and not my pajamas.

“What look?” He asked, his voice thick and nearly breathless.

I knew from the sound of it that my distraction was working.

My eyes closed as I felt him press against my entrance harder. I could already feel my panties getting drenched with the mere thought of him inside me. It took a lot of effort for me to get the next words out. My whole body was immediately set on fire.

Gods, I missed him.

“That ‘I want to murder everyone in the universe’ look.” the words came out as a moan more than an actual sentence.

Oliver pulled me closer towards him as if we weren't already close enough. I gripped his shirt hard and began grinding my waist against him. My breast pressed hard against his chest.

“Not everyone. Just one man.”

I could feel the hint of anger returning as his grip on me tightened but not enough to hurt. I knew he was talking about Ron.

“I hate that he made you cry. I want to murder him just for that.”

His simple threat elicited more desire in me and I increased my pace. Our lips hovered over each other, not touching, but close enough for us to share a breath.

“I can't bare to see you in pain. I want to wipe out anyone that even thinks about hurting you. I can't imagine my life without anymore, Dallas.”

I had a feeling he wasn't talking about Ron anymore. I wasn't sure if his voice was shaking because of the coming orgasm or out of fear.

It seem to be leaning towards the latter. I've seen Oliver expressed different type of emotions, including the one I never expected, love. But I've never seen him afraid of anything.

What could have possibly gotten him so scared?

“Don't stop,” he whispered and gripped my ass. I didn't even realize I was slowing.

He hurled me up till I was sitting on top of him. His hand went to the nape of my neck and he pulled me in for a kiss. I clasped a hand on his mouth, halting him.

“Is something wrong? Did Lucien make another move?” I asked.

Lucien was the only reason why Oliver would be talking about losing me. Things have been quiet since the explosion. He hadn't made any other move. Or none that I know of.

“No, he hasn't.” He groaned. “Why did you stop?”

I placed a hand on his chest, creating some distance between us. I adjusted myself until I wasn't sitting on his engorged cock.

“Then why all this talk about losing me? Did something happen while I was out?”

Oliver sighed and sat up on the bed. He held me so I was still sitting on his laps. My curiosity slowly morphed into worry when I saw the grim expression on his face.

“I have a big suspicion about something and I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be true. If it does, a lot of things are going to be ruined.” He said.

When it doesn't seem like he would add anything else, I asked,

“What do you have suspicion about?”

He seem to contemplate something before saying,

“That Lucien is partnered up with someone from my past. And the person wants to ruin me through you.” He paused, “I can't let anything happen to you because of me.”

My mind immediately went to Alberto Castillo. After what Ethan said about the area belonging to him and the ‘C’ envelope we found with the twins, it was highly probable that the Castillo monarch was the one helping Lucien all these while.

I didn't know the full story of what went wrong between Oliver and the Castillos, but I guess it was bad enough that Oliver suspected him.

And given what Oliver did to his son when he tried to get handsy with me few months ago, it's safe to say the father and son have a grudge towards me too. Mason would probably aid his father in his quest.

I cupped Oliver's cheeks and stared straight into his eyes.

“You would never be the reason anything bad happens to me. You'll always be the one who saves me, remember that. And if anything bad happens, we're going to face it together. Me and you. You'll never lose me and I'll never lose you.” I said calmly.

My eyes shimmered with unshed tears as I watched so many emotions flashed across his face.

“You have no idea how much I love you, Dallas.” He breathed.

I smiled softly.
“Then show me just how much, Mr Kang.”

His eyes darkened with lust as they dropped to my lips. With a swift movement, he captured my lips with his and showed me exactly what I asked for.
