CHAPTER FIFTY NINE
OLIVER
The drive home was so quiet, except the sound of raindrops on the car windshield. My gaze darted between the road and the woman sitting beside me.
Dallas stared absentmindedly out of the window. She hadn’t spared me a glance ever since I stepped into the car, and it’s killing me.
The news I just received from Joe had unnerved me so much, and I didn’t want to break it to her. But that was impossible.
I needed to tell her, but she was already sad by today’s activities and I didn’t want to dampen her already sore mood. Maybe another day. She had already waited this long, a few extra days wouldn’t hurt.
I brainstormed several ways to break the news to her without hurting her too much. The mansion’s gates come into full view.
“Have you ever danced in the rain?” she asked suddenly.
The question caught me off-guard.
“Not really.” I said after a long thought.
I tried to remember if there was a time in my childhood that I stood in the rain, but I couldn’t recall any. I never got excited about it like other kids my age did. I remember a time in fourth grade when I read that the rain was as a result of vaporization of stagnant water on the ground. That made me stay away more.
I remember certain times my parents tried to force me to act like a normal kid. They failed miserably each time.
I swerved the car into the mansion and parked in front of the house. One of my guards stood outside with an umbrella.
“Great, then let’s do that now.”
My mouth fell open as she jumped out of the car, giggling. I stepped out and snatched the umbrella from the guard. He made a slight bow and walked away hurriedly.
“Seriously Dallas, get out of there. The water is not safe. You could contact different kind of diseases.” I said as I tried to drag her out of the water but she wiggled out of my grasp.
“Stop being safe all the time.” She frowned.
“The rain is beautiful. Come on, join me.”
She stretched her hand towards me, I stared at it blankly, not accepting it.
“Fine then, suit yourself.” she retrieved her hand and shrugged.
She closed her eyes and spread out her arms, a wide smile on her face. The water trickled down her already wet hair, down to her neck and disappeared into her wet shirt. Her white shirt had become transparent, showing her round breasts. She wasn’t wearing a bra, probably because of how she rushed out earlier. Her nipples have become hard because of the cold. They pushed against the tiny fabric of her shirt, begging to be sucked, bitten, and teased. Her short skirt rode up, revealing her smooth, milky skin. My cock twitched slightly in my pants at the beautiful sight before me.
Calm the fuck down, will you? Have some dignity. She is not in the right mood.
Dallas, on the other hand, didn’t seem to notice her current appearance or the silent war I was in with my cock. She looked so fulfilled as she twirled around, her arms still spread widely.
I couldn’t stop myself, so I took a step towards her just as she twirled and slammed both her hands on my chest. I placed a hand on her lower back and pulled her closer to me till we were breathing in each's faces. She fit perfectly in my arm like she was made to be there.
My grip on the umbrella loosened and it swayed slightly, but I couldn’t be bothered about getting in contact with the dirty rainwater at that point. I just wanted her to remain in my arms forever.
“Can I tell you something?” she asked in a low and seductive voice.
Or maybe I was letting my cock do the thinking, because I was sure she didn’t intend to seduce me. But she didn’t even have to try. I was seduced by everything she does.
“Mhm mm.” I made an affirmative tone, unable to form actual words.
I leaned closer to her till our lips were only inches apart.
“My mother taught me to enjoy the rain.” she choked out.
Good to know I wasn’t the only one going crazy because of our proximity.
Her breathing became ragged as our lips grazed. Just as I was about to seal her lips with mine, she tilted her head up and stared straight into my eyes. Her eyes were gentle, almost pleading, but also filled with lust. Only Dallas could manage to show all three emotions at the same time.
“Will you enjoy the rain with me?” she blinked away the drop of water on her eyelid.
God, even that was seductive. Something is seriously wrong with me.
I slowly released my hold on the umbrella and let the wind carry it away. The water slowly cascaded down my body, drenching me in a few minutes.
“I let the shield go. Now you have to keep this hand busy, little monkey.” I smirked.
A hint of challenge flashed across her eyes, and I became high with emotions that I didn’t understand. I love it when she fights me. But I also go crazy whenever she’s submissive. I love that I was the only one who got to see behind her ‘strong girl’ mask.
I trailed my fingers up her slender neck, taking in all the details, capturing every slight shudder, the slight quivering of her lips. I wanted her to give me everything. I don’t want her to ever give any of her to anyone else.
I realized in that moment that losing her was no longer an option. The fear I felt today that something might have happened to her, I’ve never felt that fear before in my entire life, and I don’t want to ever feel it again.
Our contract is slowly coming to an end, but if giving her what she wants means losing her, then I’m determined to keep her with me. She is definitely going to hate me when she finds out about this, but I’m willing to risk it. I’m that selfish. I just have to keep her safe, then everything will be alright.
Dallas Valencia was no longer my cure, she has slowly become a vital part of me that I cannot lose. It’s finally time to do what I haven’t done for a while now. I need to properly claim her as mine.
I slammed my lips on hers, kissing her hungrily. She matched my pace and kissed me back with the same energy. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me closer, deepening the kiss. Our tongues danced in an endless rhythm, desperate for more.
I broke the kiss, earning a slight wince from her. We were both breathless at this point.
“Did you enjoy the rain, little monkey?” I asked, I ran a finger on her swollen lip.
She blushed hard.
“More than all the other times combined,” she said.
“Great. Let’s take this somewhere else.”
I swept her off her feet, carrying her in a bridal style. Her sweet giggles followed us as I headed into the house.
Time to stake my claim.
