Chapter hundred and fifty seven
DALLAS
I walked into the mansion, finding the living room dark. Since Heather was going to be staying over at Tabitha's, there was no one in the house except Oliver and me. I was excited about that.
I flipped the lights on and a gasp escaped my lips at the scene before me. The whole place was decorated with flowers. There was a huge inscription on the wall that says, “congratulations, my little monkey”.
A feast was laid on the dining table. I almost drooled as I took in the variety of foods. I heard a loud clatter from the kitchen and rushed there.
Oliver turned towards me, his brows furrowed.
“You weren't supposed to be back now.” he said and took off the apron tied around his waist. He strode towards me, a big smile on his face.
Oliver has been learning how to cook for the past few months and he was doing surprisingly well. I was always the first person to taste his food.
“Did you have fun?” He said as he wrapped his arms around me and placed a kiss on my forehead.
I took a sharp inhale of his scent and pulled me closer.
“Yes. Jenna got us kicked out.” I chuckled at the memory.
“I missed you.” I squeezed myself tightly against him. I'd only saw him this morning but that was hours ago. It felt like days.
“I missed you too, Little Monkey.” He said. “I set the table for us. Time for your celebratory dinner.”
I rubbed myself harder against him, feeling his erection pressing against my front.
“You need to stop doing that or we won't be eating anything tonight.” He growled. I took that as a compliment and continued my movement.
“Dallas.” He breathed. The sound of my name turned me on and I cupped his vock through his pants, stroking him.
“Let's skip dinner tonight.” But as I said those words, my stomach growled loudly, betraying me.
Oliver tipped his head back and laughed.
“Let's go feed your stomach before it gets out of hand.”
I scoffed and walked out of the kitchen, intentionally swaying my ass. Yes, I was hungry, but not only for food. I was hungry for him too.
I heard him sigh before he followed me to the dining room. I sat down grudgingly and began eating. But it was difficult to hold on to my grudge with a mouthful of food. I practically orgasmed from the taste.
“This is sooo good.” I moaned softly.
Oliver simply stared at me, barely touching the food on his plate, his face shining with love for me.
“I'm glad you like it.” He said and flashed me that smile that makes my heart skip a beat. We've been together for almost two years now and I still blushed whenever he smiled.
“Alright, spill it.” I said when I finally emptied my plate.
“What?” He said, his eyebrow arched.
“You have that look on your face.”
“What look?”
“You know, the one where you're dying to say something or do something but you're holding yourself back for some reasons. Maybe because you think what you have to say isn’t important so you're trying to dismiss it. And I've told you to stop doing that. Everything you have to say is important to me. I want to hear it.” I said, staring into his eyes.
I'd told him that several times but he doesn't listen. I don't think Oliver would ever get used to sharing every single detail of his life to people. But he never shut me out. I'd insisted he tell me every detail of his day with me and he doesn't hesitate.
“Even if it's some boring science stuff, I'll listen. You just fed me. You literally own me right now.”
He chuckled, but the hesitation still lingered in his eyes.
“I assure you that this isn't some boring science stuff. You're not going to fall asleep this time.” He gave me a pointed look.
“In my defence, you were talking about radioactivity and I had a big too much to think that day.” I said, raising both hands in surrender.
“Yeah yeah.” He rolled his eyes.
Silence descended between us and I watched him shift in his seat.
“I bought you something.” He said and stretched his hand out to me.
I accepted it, my brows furrowed in confusion. He led me back towards the living room and only then did I notice the box sitting on the couch.
My mouth popped open when I saw what it was.
“No freaking way.”
Because sitting there was a brand new sword. And not just any sword, the exact replica epee used by Alexander Smith when he won the Olympics. The man was a legend and my mentor. I would recognize this epee from fifty miles away. These replicas were damn expensive and limited. They only made ten of these every year. And he'd gotten one for me.
I've experienced my fair share of expensive gifts in the past year from Oliver. But this wasn't just crazy rare, it was symbolic too.
“For your new begining.” He said.
I jumped on him and kissed him hard on the lips. There was no denying that his erection had not eased since the kitchen. It only seem to grow harder.
“I love you so much, Oliver.” I whispered into his ears.
“I love you so much more, Little Monkey.” He held me tight for a few more seconds before pulling away.
Then he did something I never expected him to do, Oliver went down on one knee. My shock was so evident that I almost dropped my newly acquired gift.
“Ever since the first time I saw you, you've consumed my every thoughts. You're everything I need and more. I've loved you even when I didn't realize it. And I will continue to love you till the end of time. Dallas Valencia, will you be my wife, my soulmate, my partner for the rest of our lives?” He asked.
My eyes was fixed on his. I didn't blink. Didn't tear my gaze away. This beautiful man was kneeling in front of me and asking me to marry him. The man who had been there for me when no one else has. The man who had supported me and cared for me when he didn't have to. How could I say no when he already ruled me heart?
I slumped to my feet in front of him and breathed, “yes.”
I moved closer to him and cupped his cheeks.
“Yes, I'll be your wife.” I said with a high level of certainty. I'd never been more sure of anything as I was sure about my decision to marry him.
I hadn't even noticed he was holding a ring until he slipped it into my finger. I'd been so lost staring at him. But as the ring slipped on my finger, it felt like it was exactly where it was supposed to be.
Oliver interlaced his fingers with mine, our eyes locked on each other, searing into our souls.
“I love you so much, Dallas Valencia.” Oliver said. He brought his face closer to mine, our forehead pressed together, our noses grazing.
“I love you so much more, Oliver Kang.” I responded.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips before he crashed his lips onto mine. I kissed him back with the same intensity, needing to devour him right now.
He was mine after all. My former boss. My boyfriend. And now, my fiancee.
