Loving every moment

Garcia's POV

I smiled when I noticed him approaching me, his eyes fixed solely on me. I felt somewhat insecure, but I hoped he would listen to me. As I walked further, my throat burned. I couldn't care less; instead, I felt that things shouldn't be rushed. I noticed the blazing red furnace in his eyes, and that's when I realized he was really angry. I had to do something quickly, or I might mess up.

I walked further towards him and managed to look him in the eyes. "Please look at me," I urged. He was about to turn and fly away, but I used that opportunity to gently touch his scales. He looked me in the eyes, not taking off but still standing there.

I walked around him until I was right in front of him. He flared up, but that didn't stop me. "Wow, who's she? She's not scared of the dragon. Could she be the dragon tamer that legends have always talked about?" I heard people murmuring among themselves.

I used the opportunity to walk further, unaware that things would take a turn the moment he decided to spew burning flames toward the young men attempting to come close to me. Now he was being protective? I kind of liked that. I managed to take a deep breath before I turned to look at him.

"Please, let's just go home. I miss you," I said before unexpectedly hugging his giant body. I noticed how he remained still for a moment. Seconds later, I started sobbing. I couldn't believe I still wanted him so badly despite the fact he had just killed many people. I didn't know how long I had stood there, sobbing, feeling estranged with different types of emotions.

He did the unexpected when he gently patted my hair and whispered softly in my ear, "Let's go home." His deep, husky voice brought me out of my trance. For a brief moment, I couldn't utter a single word. I felt odd and insecure, but there was a feeling that pulled me even closer to him.

"We have a lot to talk about, so let's go to our home," he said. I stopped to look at just how drop-dead gorgeous he was. Every part of his face screamed perfection. His lips were wet with something like water. Just looking at his lips, I unconsciously licked my own.

I noticed the slight smirk on his face. "Are you trying to tempt me or something?" he asked. I only shook my head without saying another word. Then, he surprised me by immediately transforming back into his dragon form. I noticed the villagers staring at us in awe, but I couldn't care less. Just the look he had on his face moments ago was enough to stir me.

I felt insecure for a moment, tears burning in my eyes. I wanted to say something, but words weren't brave enough to escape my lips. He looked at me, indicating I should hop on his back. I smiled before I hopped on, trying my best to keep calm. Tears burned my face, and I felt more alive and emotional at the same time.

Being on his back felt so real yet unreal. I laughed and felt the wind blowing through my hair, allowing it to fall in waves. I clung to him, not letting go. "I love it, Adrian!" I screamed so he could hear me. To my surprise, he turned upside down as we continued flying. I had to cling even more tightly.

"Ahhh!" I screamed in both fear and ecstasy, feeling giddy. "Hold me tighter, because the ride is about to get even bumpier," I heard his voice telepathically, shocking me. I almost fell when he turned around immediately, allowing me to land on his back.

I panted heavily, realizing that if he hadn't acted fast, I would have fallen. My body felt weak, and tears still burned my eyes. I drew in a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. He landed gently and transformed back, staring at me without batting an eyelid.

My heart beat fast, and I felt he had something to tell me. I stayed silent, waiting for him to speak. After a full minute, neither of us said a word. He cupped my cheeks, allowing me to look into his eyes. "Tell me, Garcia..." he trailed. Looking into his eyes, I couldn't bring myself to utter a word, but my heart beat faster, anticipating his question.

"Yes..." I urged, curious to hear what he had to say. "Tell me...do...do you love Zakuski?" he stammered. Seeing how adorable he looked asking that question, it took all my strength to suppress a smile.

"No, I don't," I replied nonchalantly, though deep down, I was laughing. It was kind of cute that he was jealous. "Are you sure?" he asked. I couldn't utter a word, feeling a bit insecure and guilty. I wanted to say something, but words failed to escape my lips.

"Say something, Garcia," he urged. I drew a deep breath before speaking. "I...am very sorry about what happened earlier. I don't know how to explain this to you, but..." I trembled, feeling scared. "But what, Garcia?" he sounded irritated. I knew it would be wrong to tell him everything now; I needed to take things slowly.

"Please, can we go home first?" I urged. He hesitated but accepted my offer, making me smile. We started walking back home, just meters away.

"Look...I...uhm, I am sorry about..."

"Shhhh, say no more," he stopped me, a big surprise. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I felt uncomfortable, ignoring the excitement as he came closer, my heart racing. He leaned in, about to kiss me. I gulped and closed my eyes, waiting for the moment.

After seconds, he didn't kiss me. I opened my eyes to see a mischievous smile on his face. "That's not fair," I protested.

"Let's get in. It's not safe out here," he said before extending his hand. I felt insecure but had no choice. I drew a deep breath, hoping things would turn out right. I felt insecure, but as we entered, he surprised me by wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me closer. He took a whiff of my scent, intoxicating me. Before I could say a word, he kissed me passionately, and I moaned, pulling him closer.

I enjoyed every moment until a knock on the door interrupted us. "My Lord, your presence is required in the quest room," an unfamiliar deep, husky voice said.
