Innocent features

Adrian's POV
Her innocent features caught my attention, and her scent was a mixture of mint and vanilla as she moved closer to me. I swallowed hard while still wondering why I could not resist her and what was so special about her that was driving me crazy. I noticed the way she slightly licked her lips, making them plump and kissable. I felt my body weaken when she slightly touched me, then she innocently asked again, "I know I am asking for too much, and dragons don't trust wolves, but please let me stay with you for the meantime, because I have nowhere to go. Yes, you have offered me a lot of money that can take care of me for almost my entire life, but I don't know how to start, where to go from here, or how to start over again, and that's why I have been living in the mountains after the brutal death of my parents and siblings." She pleaded, which made my heart sink in pain. I was in a dilemma; I didn't know how to be able to assist the situation, because Garcia was already staying back in the palace, and I didn't want to cause problems.
"I'm sorry, I'll add a few gold coins so you can find your footing, but I don't think I can take you with me."
I noticed glossy tears forming in her eyes as she gently touched my bared chest. "It is not about the money."
"Then what is it about?"
"It's about my security, and I believe I'll be secure in your hands."
Her words struck me in a different way I can't seem to explain; it was like she was trying to get to a deep part of me without doing anything.
I let out a sigh as I transformed into my dragon self, then let her hop on my back. I kept thinking of how I'll be able to face Garcia. When we eventually reached the palace, I dropped down and told her to stay with one of the maids. Her gaze was innocent as she stared at me, but she surprised me with a hug first before she left with the maid, leaving my mouth hanging open, unable to utter a word.
I went back to my room; the scent of Garcia lingered. I searched for her, but I couldn't seem to find her anywhere. I kept calling her name, but there was no response, which made me scared while hoping that nothing had happened to her.
I decided to check the bathroom; everything flashed right in front of me, my dragon screamed, and my heart raced faster. I clenched my hands tightly, but I couldn't help wondering why she had to choose today to hurt me the most. Seeing her with Zakuski killed my spirit.
Without a word, I turned to leave without saying a word to her. I was so disappointed in her because I thought she would try to forget about the past, not knowing she'd still delve deeper into it.
I almost cried, but I had to hold back. I decided to go meet Ariana in the maids' room; she was taking her bath. When I noticed that, I immediately turned to leave because I didn't want to disturb her, only to hear her feminine voice.
"I thought you came to me to see me, and you are already leaving without saying a word."
"Sorry for the intrusion on your privacy; I should have knocked before coming in."
She then slipped out of the bathtub as she wrapped herself with the towel. Before she walked out of the bathroom, her gaze was intense as she walked up to me. There was something about her eyes that captured me in a way I can't seem to explain.
When she was beside me, she slowly slid her fingers on my chest as she slowly licked her lips seductively. I almost roughly grabbed her and pinned her against the nearby wall, but I had to control myself, telling myself that I can't do this.
"I know I'm too fast. I know that I'm letting myself behave in a way that I shouldn't, but I can't help it. There's something about you that captures my attention; there's something that my wolf can't seem to resist." When she said that, she slowly unwrapped the towel around her waist and let it fall to the ground. My eyes roamed her silky body, making me hard. Apart from Garcia, no lady has ever been able to make me feel this way.
I immediately rushed out of the room to avoid falling for her. No, this can't be true; it happened to my father, and it can't happen to me. I decided to rush back to my room, and I noticed that no one was in the room. I decided to go to the bathroom to take a cold shower to be able to calm my nerves. I let the water cascade down my body, only to hear the door slide open.
"Ariana, don't come in without my permission."
"It is not Ariana or any of your maids; it is me, Garcia, and I want to completely give myself to you, my heart, body, and soul."
