Recalling the memories
Garcia's POV
I stopped him by pinning my hand against his chest, his flustered face bored into mine. I smiled at him as I placed my hand on his chest, stopping him from coming any closer, because right now I'm not psychologically ready for any intimacy. He gently shifted some strands of my hair as he placed a soft kiss on my lips, then lay on the pillow while staring aimlessly at the ceiling. I could feel something intense tugging in my heart as we both immersed ourselves in the silence.
"Garcia..." He called out my name gently.
"Yes..." I turned to him while waiting for him to say what he had in mind, but he just kept quiet without uttering a word, which made me feel so guilty. I tried to calm my nerves while taking deep breaths.
I felt my body weaken under the dim moonlight. He slowly leaned closer to me as he whispered in my ear, “I can’t help but feel like I will hurt you, and I don’t want anything to happen to you, and that is why I have decided that I will be taking you to my aunt’s place in the pack of your origin…”
He let out a deep sigh, cupping my cheeks with his firm hands as he brought me closer to him and placed a soft kiss on my lips. “I have to do this; please bear with me.” When he said that, I let out a deep sigh and decided not to think too much about it again.
We eventually fell asleep, hoping not to think too much about it, but the constant thought of it made me wake up in the middle of the night. I noticed that he was still sleeping soundly; his handsome face could be seen in the dimly lit room, and the thought still lingered, so I woke up and decided to get some fresh air outside. I wanted to clear my thoughts. When I was outside, I sat down while looking at the sky, while feeling the light of the moon cascades on me, I could my wolf wanting to take charge, I felt my bones cracked, causing so much pain when I went on all fours, then suddenly I heard a familiar voice, I lifted my gaze to see who it was, I was shocked when I saw no one else but Zakuski, he walked up to me as he sat beside me, I couldn’t complete the transformation when he told me something that weakened my resolve, “I know how you are feeling right now, you know Adrian would never be able to value you and the sacrifice that you have made to him and that is the reason why I am advising to come to my place and I will give you whatever you have ever wanted,” I raised an eyebrow looking at him shocked, “and why should I trust whatever you say?”
He came closer to me, and he sniffed a whiff of my scent, which I found very weird. He leaned closer to me, and he slowly placed his hand on my thigh while letting out a groan. The feeling felt familiar, but I couldn’t recall where, when, or how. I desperately wanted to stop him, but my wolf didn’t permit me to do so, which felt even stranger. He then pulled away while letting out a deep groan. He then shook his head in frustration, more so if what he was doing was not right. He suddenly pulled my cheeks using his rough hands before he placed a soft kiss on my lips. That was my last straw as I pushed him away. “What are you doing?
“Can’t you see that you have always belonged to me? It’s just that you were too blind to see it, but you are mine, and no one can take you away from me, Garcia.”
He roughly grabbed me, and he was about to shove me into an unknown portal. I almost forgot that he was a demon, which explains why he can open portals. Then I felt a strong hand on my hand, stopping me from going. “You can’t take her anywhere, Zakuski, most especially not when I am alive, Adrian said with a deep, domineering voice. His eyes were bloodshot red, and his grip around my wrist was so tight that I could almost swear that my skin might have peeled off in the process.
“What are you going to do if I don’t let her go, huh?
“And that is when you will know that there has been a black dragon lurking within me, waiting for moments like this to reveal its true nature.”
“She belongs to me, Adrian…” Zakuski yelled at the top of his voice as he leaned close to me and placed his right hand on my head, and that was when all the memories came rushing in like a downpour of water. I shook my head as I turned to Zakuski, tears streaming down my face while shaking my head vigorously, “No…no…no, it can’t be true.”
