Ache In my heart

Zakuski's POV.
I disappeared and went back to the kingdom. I started hitting the walls violently while recalling the way I almost marked her as mine; I almost made her fucking mine, only for Adrian to ruin everything.
I recalled the way my brother had suggested a plan, a plan of bringing another lady to his life, and that was why we plotted everything with Zack and made that slave girl who has been working for the lowest demons—she's no other than Ariana. I have seen how they have sent her on missions, and she carried them out perfectly well. I thought she would be able to distract him enough so I could have more time with Garcia, but she still couldn't do a simple task. I swear I'm going to kill her myself.
I was still pacing back and forth when she appeared in my room. She looked down, unable to look me in the eyes. She's also a wolf who was captured from the Great Hill Pack. She was made to serve us, and I must admit I'm impressed with her loyalty, but I still can't fully trust her.
"I'm sorry, my lord; I know you are disappointed in me." She pleaded, her voice trembling in fear.
Without waiting for her to say another word, I went close to her before I slammed her hard against the nearby wall while sinking my long nails into her flesh. "You bitch, you can't do one simple task."
Then she laughed gently, like something had suddenly possessed her. "You can't blame the bitch if she chose Adrian over you. I saw him today, and gosh, the prince was a handsome demigod. Those perfect silver eyes and silky skin are something that no one in her right state of mind would ever resist."
The boldness in her voice shocked me; it was something I had never seen in her. Out of rage, I sent her flying across the room. She fell to the ground; I bet some of her bones cracked, but she was still smiling like a lunatic, which was driving me crazy.
She took a deep breath; her expression immediately changed to a deep frown before she said, "I really tried my best to stop him by holding him back, but his attention was somewhere else, so there was nothing I could do. The fact that Garcia once belonged to you, but you never tried to have her or make her yours, and now is the time you want to when she now belongs to someone else is really ridiculous."
"Keep quiet," I yelled. Ariana was now getting on my nerves. If I knew things would turn out this way, I wouldn't have agreed to the plan my brother had offered me.
"Leave."
"But..."
"I said leave, Ariana, before I change my mind about not killing you."
She weakly stood up on her feet before she disappeared. I stood briefly by the door before I poured myself a cup of alcohol as I took the contents in one swift gulp. My throat turned, but it was nothing compared to the ache I was feeling in my heart.
I decided to call Emelia. I have always known that she has a keen interest in me, so I'll use her to satisfy my sexual pleasure and be able to forget about everything.
When I sent for her, it was rather Jonathan that walked into the room; he had an expressionless face as he walked towards me. "You want to use the poor lady to satisfy your anger and hatred towards Adrian?"
"Jonathan, I'll suggest you leave, because I don't want to talk to you again; you are only going to make me hate you more."
He smiled as he walked up to me, then he patted my shoulder. "You think I won't have used any lady to do the job, but rather I suggested Ariana; doesn't that imply something to you?"
I lifted my gaze, realizing he just made a point; I hadn't thought about that. "So what does that imply?" I asked while narrowing my gaze.
"It means that Ariana was his second mate, damn it, for crying out loud. After the death of his mother, did you think any living human or wolf would have gotten the chance to go close to him and live to tell the tale?"
My mouth hung open; I still couldn't wrap my head around the whole scenario, so I asked, "But how did you come to this conclusion? Like, how the fuck did you know how it is?"
He let out a sigh as he explained, "It all made sense; that very day that we went to fight him, we were all on a killing spree, only for Ariana to come to the scene and provide weapons for us. Adrian killed every demon that was present, but he stopped when he was close to Ariana; that is how I was able to know."
I nodded in understanding, realizing that my brother wasn't so bad after all. Then suddenly, I felt an ache, a very painful ache in my chest, like a scorched coal was directly placed on my chest. I then checked the mark on my wrist and realized that it had just disappeared.
"No, Garcia...you can't let yourself be marked by Adrian," I screamed in pain.
