A pervert in pain
Isabella's POV.
"So what if she doesn't agree even after the one week?" I asked, my voice husky. I was trying to calm my nerves as I heard Jonathan asking Zakuski the uncertain question; I could hear him let out a husky growl as he replied.
"Then I will force her to."
"You know very well it has to be willing; you can't force her."
"She's mine, and nothing is going to change that," he retorted with so much anger etched in his voice.
Without a word, I swallowed a deep breath while holding back the tears that threatened to slip down my cheeks. I hate the fact that my brother is losing himself in the process of trying to possess her at all costs.
"You have to take things easy with her, and I believe she will eventually give in to your demands, but if you force her, she will hate you even more," Jonathan advised.
"If I can't have her, then no one will; I'll make sure that Adrian is dead before he runs back to her."
I let out a gentle scream when I heard what he said. "Did you hear that?" Jonathan asked.
"Hear what?"
"Someone is at the door."
"Who's there?" The voice of Zakuski thundered as he walked towards the door. I immediately rushed out of sight and went to the garden. I was trying to act calm, but I was unable to while recalling what happened. Then I heard a voice behind me, which startled me. I turned back to see who it was; my mouth hung open when I saw Jonathan and Zakuski standing behind me. They both had a frown on their faces.
"You know I will forget the fact that you are my sister and slice a dagger around the throat if you ever make the mistake of telling Garcia what you heard," Garcia said with clenched fist. I noticed his eyes had slightly changed to a red hue, and it immediately disappeared. I immediately stood up, feeling frightened.
I shook my head walking away. "This is not you, Zakuski. You need to try your best to fight the darkness, or else it'll fight you."
I noticed the rage in his eyes; before I could say another word, he had managed to swiftly walk towards me, wrapped my hand around my neck as threatened, and said, "Don't you dare mess with me, Isabella." Jonathan wrapped his hand around his available hand and said incoherent words to help him calm his nerves, which helped ease the tension; he eventually let go of me as he turned to leave. I was gasping for air while sitting down; without thinking twice, I started running away. I turned back and noticed that Jonathan was running after me. It made me more terrified. I increased my speed until I was out of the kingdom, and now I'm running into the forest. I know the danger lurking in the forest, but I have no other option than to run through it. Jonathan stopped running after me when they saw me run into the forest.
I then heard frightening sounds of wild animals, which heightened my fear, but I had to continue walking even though I didn't know where I was heading. I was still frightened, unable to believe that my brothers had almost killed me. While I was walking through the thick forest, I heard the sound of a loud thud and some broken branches. I was hesitant, but it piqued my curiosity. Wanting to know what had caused that sound, I walked in the direction of the sound, and my eyes widened in shock when I saw a dragon. The dragon clearly looked wounded, and its eyes showed pain as it flapped its wings, struggling to fly, but it failed to do so. We have been sworn enemies with dragons, and I don't see myself helping one, so I turned and walked away while trying to ignore it.
The dragon let out a whimpering sound of pain, which affected me in ways I can't explain. I caused it myself before I eventually went back. I'm trying to hide my fear, but for the first time, I'm really scared.
I walked back to the dragon, and before bending down to help it, my heart raced rapidly when the dragon slowly transformed into a man. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out of it. He has the sexiest abs I have ever seen; his emerald green eyes made him look different and unique, and his skin was smooth like fresh cotton. I was in a daze for a moment before he said, "Even though it is not the first time I have seen ladies staring at me like that, the least you can do is help me."
He sounded like a jerk, so I immediately stood up and left without looking back. Suddenly, I stumbled on a stone, which made me lose my balance before I landed in his manly chest, smearing myself with his blood.
"Nature is telling you to do the right thing, honey."
"Someone who's in pain shouldn't be talking like a pervert," I said. Then he suddenly let out a painful groan. He was spitting out blood, which made me panic. I don't know how to go about the situation. I tried calming my nerves, but all methods failed. Tears slowly slipped down my cheeks. I can't seem to get the thought out of my mind. It made me scared knowing that things might likely never be the same for me again. I noticed he suddenly started gasping for air, which frightened me even more; after a few minutes, he went limp, his eyes closed, and his skin turned pale. I don't know why my instincts didn't want him to die. With a deep breath, I used all my strength and carried him and placed him on my back. He was quite heavy, but I still managed to walk with him. I walked for an hour, but there was no sign of a building, and I could already feel his life slipping away. When I thought all hope was gone, I noticed a small cottage. I walked towards the building, and I knocked, but there was no reply. I knocked again, and an old man came out. His gaze was focused on me when he saw; his eyes widened when he saw the man at my back. Without hesitation, he bowed and said, "Please welcome my prince."
