Journey to freedom.
The flow of fresh breeze that greeted me at that very moment, stood as a testament that I was free indeed.
Well, was this freedom even going to be permanent? That was my biggest worry.
"We've gotten to the entrance. We have to take some time to survey this area, before coming out." Sandra said to me, and I nodded in affirmation. She was right.
We really had to study the environment, before stepping out.
"You're right." I agreed with her. "But, how does the area look like? What can you see there?" I asked her with so much seriousness. I really wanted to have an idea about where we were.
She paused for a while, before replying me.
"I think I can see some fleets of cars from her, and some battalion of soldiers that are lined up. Maybe, they are here to protect and safeguard the cars, or act as day watch..." She responded.
I felt kind of scared, as she described what she could see.
"Then, how are we going to come down from here, without getting caught?" I asked her in fear. I was also worried that they might perceive our smell, as the had a great sense of smell.
"That's what I'm thinking about, right now." She responded, and I only bent my head in further confusion.
How can we overcome this second obstacle?
Just at that moment, Sandra made to look at those security men for the last time, but she met the shock of her life.
"One of them almost saw me." She said to me, and I shook in terror. I knew that I would be doomed, if they caught her.
"Urghs! What are we going to do now?" I asked her in fear. I was ready to pee in my panties. I knew that I wasn't ready to go back to that castle, and I also wasn't ready to be caught by this men.
"I think one of them is coming towards this tunnel." Sandra announced, and I passed out in fear. I just dropped my head like it wasn't existent, and made sure that I was ready for the worst.
At this moment, I didn't have any other chance to run, or try to retaliate. The only thing that came to my mind, was giving up. After all, I had run enough, and maybe this was my final end.
"See you at the other side." I said to Sandra, with a nonchalant voice. I had already concluded that the worst was going to happen.
The worst thing that would happen to me, was being caught and taken back to Alpha Roman. He'd really make my life more miserable than he had ever done in the past.
"He has crossed to the other side." Sandra announced, and I breathed a long sigh of relief.
"Ohh! I had already given up. I'm glad that the moon goddess has given us another golden opportunity to be alive, and I won't take it for granted." I hissed in excitement.
Somehow, I knew that their was still hope for me, and I still had a reason to be happy.
"I'm glad that we've gotten to the end of this tunnel. It seemed impossible at first." She said.
Indeed, it was worth celebrating, but we didn't need to celebrate so soon, as we only needed to celebrate once we get out of this vicinity, completely.
"I think I can see a guard dog coming towards our direction." Sandra said to me, and I stared in fear.
A guard dog?
One thing that I feared about these guards dogs, was the fact that they had the weird ability to single out people from where they were hiding. I was just so scared that this dog might try to come to place that we were.
"What do we do now?" I asked her in panic.
"Just calm your nerves down. Do not panic or fidget in fear, as it might cause the dog to attack you. Just remain as calm as possible." She admonished.
I knew that my body was definitely going to betray me again, as I was just very scared about what the outcome might be.
"I don't think that I can calm my nerves down. I'm just so agitated and worried." I explained to her, and she didn't say another word.
To be frank, I was more confused about what was happening at that very moment, especially for the fact that she had suddenly decided not to talk to me.
What did I do to her wrongly?
"Not to worry, I have the whole situation in control." She replied me.
One of the many things that amazed me so much about Sandra, was her great problem solving skill. She always made sure to have a solution to every problem.
"What do you plan to do to the dog?" I asked her in an inquisitive manner.
"Well, I just wanna try out some magic trick that would hypnotize the dog." She responded, and my mouth fell short immediately. Whatever that she knew that she could do to save us, she should do it.
I watched as she muttered some words of incantation, and I felt dizzy. One of the things that I was really battling with at this very moment, was the best way that I would keep my body under control.
I had noticed that I always get agitated easily, and I needed to stop it.
"So, are you done now?" I finally asked her.
"Yes, I am. I'm just waiting for the perfect opportunity, so that we can actualize my plans." She explained, and I stared at her in surprise.
Which plans did she have this time?
"What plans are you talking about?" I asked her in surprise.
She paused for a while, before replying me with a small tone.
"Just follow my lead, now!" She commanded, and dragged me out of the tunnel immediately.
I couldn't even stand up on my own feet.
"You can't do this now." She said to me, and I forced myself into the car that was around there.
"Stop there before I shoot." A deep baritone voice sounded from our back.
