Alpha Roman, isn't dead!

I looked at him in surprise, as I tried to understand what he had said.

"He was going to kill you?" I repeated the words that he had said to me.

Vincent paused for a second, before giving a reply to me.

"Oh yes, he was going to kill me." He said again, but this time around, he said with more boldness inside of him.

Honestly, I wasn't really surprised to hear him say that, but I was still surprised.

"This is so absurd." I muttered. "But, how did and when did you find out that he was planning to kill you?" I pushed further.

One thing about me, was the fact that I loved to get well detailed information about everything, before running into conclusions. It wasn't like I was doubting him, but I was surprised that he would want to even kill his own brother as well.

"Well, he had said it a couple of times, and he had also tried to kill me countless times." He began. "One thing was certain, he was definitely going to wake up one day, and chose to end my life." He said to me, with his head bent.

"This is terrible." I breathed with a sigh.

How can one man be this wicked?

One mystery that would not stop baffling me, was the reason why he would that monster enjoyed taking other people's life. He didn't even care, and he didn't also worry that it was humans that he was destroying.

Honestly, it was just so disgusting.

"Terrible is an understatement, ma'am. He had stabbed in the arm and back many times." He said to me, and immediately raised up his clothes to show me the marks.

I was deeply shocked. They were so deep and visible.

"This is a painful thing to do to someone. But, why did he do this to you?" I mutual in tears.

I couldn't even explain the reason behind my tears.

"You don't need to cry, ma'am." He said, and patted my shoulders softly. "This is just the past, and it also serves as a reminder to me." He mumbled with a smile.

Even though he smiled at this instant, I could see the deep hurt of a man who was broken on the inside. This smile was just a mask that he was trying to cover his inner pains, with.

"I can't explain the pains that you had to go through in his hands. So sorry, my dear." I said to him with a warm smile, and immediately gave him a side hug.

To be frank, words couldn't explain how I felt at that moment, as I still tried to ponder on the reason why Alpha Roman, was just very cruel to others.

"It's all in the past, that's the reason why I would prefer to be killed by a wild beast in this forest, than to face a painful death in his hands." He said, but I shushed him immediately.

He didn't need to sound negative.

"Nope, you don't have to say that. I didn't see any reason why you should even feel that being killed by a wild beast is a better option. Please, don't pray for such." I said to him.

Well, I was happy about something which was the fact that Alpha Roman, was already dead, and I would also get the opportunity to experience freedom, again.

"If you say so, ma'am." He responded.

At this point, I really wanted to cheer him up, so I asked him this question.

"What if you find out that Alpha Roman is dead?" I asked him with a smile, and he gave me a very weird look.

Why did he even look at me like that?

"Alpha Roman... Dead?" He asked slowly.

"Oh yes..." I responded with a big smile.

I knew that he was really going to be pleased by what I was going to tell him.

"Urmm... He can't die...!" Vincent exclaimed, and my jaws dropped.

What did I just hear?

"I don't understand. What do you mean by he can't die?" I asked him while trying to be sure that I heard the right time.

He paused for a while, before replying me. Honestly, this moment of his silence, was one of the longest moments of my life, as I was really trying my best to think straight.

"The Alpha's in my dynasty, cannot be killed..." He went further.

This was honestly becoming very scary.

"But, he killed his father and other Alphas..." I asked him with a puzzled look.

If the Alphas in his dynasty couldn't be killed, then it actually meant that he had been lying earlier on.

"It's complicated." He said, after a very long round of silence.

"I'm all ears to hear your explanation." I blurted. To be frank, I didn't even know about what to think about or say.

Vincent looked at me for some seconds, and fixed his gaze on something else. It was a weird attitude from his angle.

"An Alpha in my bloodline can only be killed by their own blood, and before this happens, they have to access the black stone, which destroys the immortality of the alpha, and then turn him into mortal." He explained to me, and my mouth dropped immediately.

If what he was saying was true, then what it meant, was that Alpha Roman, was still very much alive.

"You're kidding me, Vincent. Ah! I'm doomed..." I cried out in despair, and he looked at me weirdly, while trying very hard to understand what was happening to me.

"What is the matter, ma'am?" He asked in surprise.

Well, the only response that I could give him, was staring at him sheepishly. I was the only person that could explain what I had done.

"You won't understand, I'm done. Alpha Roman, is coming for me." I muttered in tiredness.

I knew fully well that he could possibly find me in anywhere that I disappeared to, so I totally lost the vigor to forge ahead.

"What do you mean by that, ma'am?" He asked in confusion.

"I tried to kill Alpha Roman..." I cried out.
