The spirit man.
Immediately he made that announcement, I stared at him in horror. The both of us were dumbfounded at that very moment, as we couldn't lay our hands on what to do.
How would I even get married to a spirit for seven long years?
"Please sir, give us another task. This one is just too hard to adhere to. We're running away from a difficult life, in a quest to acquire freedom, and it isn't part of our intention to hurt you, sir." Sandra begged, again.
At this point, I had already given up that anything would work out for me, but I believed that Sandra was a very good person, since she still made sure that she continued begging on my behalf.
Why did I let my emotions get hold of me at the wrong time?
I had never hoped that the whole drama would turn out to be drastic. This was really the opposite of what I had expected.
"Do you even have a choice? What if I drown you now? Hehehe..." The spirit man laughed evilly.
"Please sir, I'm willing do any other thing aside this." I muttered under my breathe. I didn't see myself getting married to that spirit man.
Indeed, it was just getting harder than I had expected it to be.
"No! That's my request. You either agree or I take you forcefully. That is after killing you physically, and imprisoning your spirit forever. Choose wisely..." He muttered under his breathe, with a victory smile.
At this point, he obviously had us in the place that he wanted. In a vulnerable state that he could easily prey on.
"What do I do now?" I asked Sandra in weakness. I just couldn't believe the outplay of the whole drama.
At this point, I knew that the both of us were really confused.
"Honestly, I don't have a reply for this question. I can't really tell." She responded.
Her response wasn't what I expected to hear, but I knew that this was the worst thing that could happen to me, being a condition where I can't stand up for myself.
This happens to be the toughest phase of my life.
Here I was at the middle of a big river, unsure of what my destiny was going to be.
"Please, have mercy on me." I begged with a defeated ego. At this point, it was the only thing that could work for me.
He stared at me with so much evil in his eyes, like he wanted to consume me at that moment.
"I have limited time to spend with you..." The spirit man said, while his voice echoed through the entire water.
No one was far or near, and that worsened the matter of trying to escape from him.
"Can't you just allow us to go?" Sandra asked him.
He kept calm for a while, before replying that statement.
"I can allow you to do." He finally said, and my heart and soul rejoiced in happiness.
Finally, he was willing to release us.
"Thank you very much, sir." The both of us almost greeted him in unison.
I couldn't help but smile at Sandra. We both felt so relieved that he suddenly had a change of heart.
"Don't rejoice so soon...!" He chipped in.
One thing that still seemed like a puzzle to me, was why he acted so weird.
Why shouldn't we rejoice?
What was he up to?
"Why shouldn't we?" Sandra asked him.
"Well, If you must know, I'll only release the both of you on another separate terms." He began again.
At this point already, I didn't want to know what his terms were, as I already had enough. This spirit was really bent on making a fool out of us.
"As I said earlier, I'll only allow you to leave here alive on one condition, which is..." He paused.
His behavior was already making us to panic in fear, and it was the very last thing that I wanted.
"Please, tell us what it is..." Sandra blurted.
I nodded in support.
"If the both of you would leave here together, then I'll take you back to the place that you're running away from. Is that okay?" He asked us with a wicked smile, and we both froze in shock.
How did he find out?
Who told him that we were running away from someone?
"Ohh! You don't need to be surprised about how I found out. I see both the physical and spiritual..." He continued.
"Then, don't do this to us, please." I begged.
He looked at me with scorn, before replying.
"I'm not imprisoning the both of you, I'm just taking only you away to be my bride for seven years." He muttered.
Each time that he said something like that, I felt easily disgusted. I couldn't imagine having anything to do with a spirit.
"Please, just forgive her." Sandra begged again.
He smiled, before saying anything.
"Then, allow me to send you back to your respective Alphas'." He replied.
I could only stare as the whole drama was unfolding. It was what I caused for myself, and I had to bear the repercussions.
"Don't do this to us. If you send us back to our alpha, it would be the worst alternative, please." I begged him in tears.
"Yes, you're right..." He began. "They're planning to kill the both of you, wherever they find you." He said with a smile.
How did he know all these information?
Is it because he is actually a spirit being?
"How did he find out?" I whispered into Sandra's ears.
"Seems like you've forgotten that he is a spirit." She eyed me while responding.
We stared at each other in confusion,as we didn't know the next step to take. In as much as we really needed to think very fast, we were still at the mercy of this spirit.
"I see that the both you cannot come up with any reasonable alternative. I'll help you to do the math." With that, he touched me, and I disappeared with him.
