The second escape adventure.

I froze as I heard the voice.

Had Alpha Roman, risen up that fast?

If he did that, then it meant that he wasn't mortal because I can vividly remember the gravity and supposed effect of what I had done to him.

As we all turned back, we were relieved with what we saw.

"Stop the maiden. She's trying to run after the Alpha's Luna, and it is very forbidden." One of the bodyguards said, and I smiled back at him.

"Let her be." I commanded him. "So, young lady, what do you want from me?" I asked her with a smile.

To be honest, acting like the boss lady was really cool. Well, I knew that it wasn't really going to last long, so I decided to enjoy every bit of it.

"I want you to help me..." She cried out, and I felt sympathy on her immediately.

She really looked very young, and I knew that she really deserved a better life.

"How can I help you, and what can I do for you?" I asked her with a smile.

The young maiden, was already wailing on the ground at this time.

"The Alpha has threatened to kill me, tonight. Please help me ma, as I don't want to die." She begged, and I waved at her in a reassuring manner.

She didn't need to bother. I was going to make sure, that she got the freedom that she desired.

"So, what exactly do you want me to do for you?" I asked her with a smile.

By this time, I had also noticed that other maidens were already looking at what was happening.

It was really the first of its kind.

"I want to leave this castle. Please, help me ma." She begged, and I stared at her for a while.

Honestly speaking, I knew that I was really taking so much time, and I was also skeptical about the kind of help that I would have to offer her.

"How do you intend to fin your back home, if you're given the opportunity to go?" I asked her, and she almost gasped out in surprise.

"I'd run to a faraway land, and start a new life there. Please, ma... Please..." The maiden continued begging, as she tried to hold my leg.

I knew that I had to help her, even though it was the last noble thing that I was able to do.

"Great... Now, enter the car let's move out of here." I ordered her, and she opened her mouth in a dumbfounded manner.

Obviously, she hadn't expected that I'd give her the opportunity to live her life.

The rest of the bodyguards and maidens, continued staring at me in shock like they had seen a ghost.

Maybe, this was the first time that something like this was happening, and they were obviously very surprised to encounter such an incident.

I knew that other maidens and bodyguards, equally wanted to leave as well, but they were too scared to ask.

"Now, move this car." I ordered the driver.

With me in the car were the doctor, the maiden and also the driver. Just as expected, the driver must've felt like I knew about where he was taking me to.

Well, I just had to keep staring at the open space, whilst watching my surroundings.

"So, what's your story?" I asked the maiden, and she bent her head in tears. From the countenance on her face, I knew that she must've really been through a lot.

I was ready for whatever the outcome of this whole decision was going to be.

"I'm actually an orphan. I don't even know my parents, and I also grew up in an orphanage." She explained, and I gave her a puzzled look.

"So, how did an orphanage connect you to Alpha Roman?" I asked her with a little bit of a raised voice.

To be frank, I wasn't doing this to scare anyone, I was basically doing this because I needed to enact superiority to an extent.

I didn't want to raise suspicion.

"Well, as time went by, the orphanage began to complain that we were getting so much as the days went by, and they couldn't continue handling the burden of caring for all of us..." She couldn't finish the statement, and she burst into another round of tears.

I could relate to her story, and I was equally trying everything possible in making sure that I didn't also join the crying session.

"Hold yourself together, and tell me the whole story. With that, I would be able to know where I can help you from." I said to her with a reassuring voice.

I didn't like the fact that she was still crying.

"After they complained about our population, they started sending some of us to do hard jobs, arranging some of us for prostitution, and then they finally decided to start selling us as it was a very lucrative business to venture into." She continued.

One thing that baffled me the most about this beautiful maiden, was the fact that she was a great story teller, and she could really express herself.

"This is insane. All of us does have a sad story to tell and that is the reason why I want you to hold yourself together, and be strong. So, continue the tale..." I admonished her, and she nodded.

The tension in the car was honestly decreasing, as every single person in the car, was already getting very emotional.

"Those of us that tried to revolt, were killed and they had their body parts sold at black market." She said, and I froze.

I was honestly getting goosebumps from her story.

"Terrible. I can't even imagine that. Did you witness all of these atrocities?" I asked her.

"Oh yes, I did. Infact, I also lost my best friend to this particular wickedness." The maiden explained further.

Honestly, I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I was still wallowing in the deep ocean of thoughts, when the driver made a shocking announcement.

"Ma'am, I think the fuel in this car has finished." He suddenly announced.
