Encounter with the invisible spirit.

We both froze in shock, as we held each other's hands tightly. The driver on the other side, was leading the way, and he equally tried very hard to suppress his fears.

After all, he knew about these people, so, he was apparently used to whatever that they might decide act.

"What brings you to this temple?" The invisible voice echoed through the cave again.

One of the things that even terrified me the most about what was happening at this moment, was as a result of the fact that we couldn't even see who it was that was talking.

"We're not bad people. We are travellers, and we just want to make our way across this cave in peace. We have no bad intentions at all." The driver tried to explain to this invisible spirit, who in turn burst out in a very long laughter.

I knew that this spirit wasn't even going to be different from the others. Well, I just hoped that he would.

"Vincent..." The voice called out. "I know you more than you know yourself." The voice said to the driver.

It was at this very moment that I realized that his name was actually Vincent. I had always been so forgetful, that I forgot to inquire about his name.

"Since you know me too well, you'd realize that I mean no harm. Can you now all us to pass by?" He asked the voice, and he was met with an abrupt silence.

Maybe, it was some sort of signal from the spirit that he had given us the permission to go.

"I think we should move now." I said to the driver, who nodded his head in affirmation.

Just as I said that, a thought came into my mind; It was about what I had done to Alpha Roman. Why hasn't the driver asked any questions, since?

Did he have an idea about what had happened, or was he planning to set me up?

Honestly, I had over a million thoughts going through my head, even though I was trying very hard to remain strong.

"Where do you think you're going to? Hehehe..." The voice laughed in a very cold manner. At this point, I was already confused about what was going on.

At least, if this was a physical fight, we would have known how to subdue the said spirit. Now, this is a spiritual fight, and we have to be at the mercy of this monster.

"As I said earlier, we don't mean any harm, and we ask that you allow us to go." The driver said to the spirit, with a raised voice.

At this moment, he was already very tired of talking about the same thing, over and over again.

"What if I don't allow you to go, what are you going to do about it?" The invisible voice asked. Honestly, I knew that this monster was just trying very hard to be goofy.

He was trying to get on our nerves.

"Just allow us to go, and stop being a weakling. If you're too sure of your powers, why not come out and face us physically?" I asked in anger. I was indeed ready for whatever that the monster was going to do.

It was really annoying that he would be enjoying that prank of trying to scare us. It was just old school. Very very.

"How dare you...?" The voice yelled. "I know even your dirty secrets, and I would never allow you to cross this cave. You'd be here with me forever." The spirit muttered, and I suddenly started to feel a negative effect on my body.

I was hypnotized. The invisible wizard had hypnotized me.

"No... No..." I cried out in weakness.

At this point, I was gradually loosing my body. It was just as if some kind of external forces had taken over my body. Maybe, they were trying to possess me.

"Ma'am, are you okay? What is happening to you?" The driver asked, and I responded weakly.

"I don't know..." I mumbled weakly. "Help me..." I said for the last time, because that was all I could say. I didn't have any other strengthen again.

Just when it was like the invisible monster was going to carry me away, the driver said some words of incantation, and my body started burning immediately.

It was like I was on fire.

"Please ma'am, nothing should happen to you..." The maiden cried out.

Well, I hoped that nothing would. After what seemed like an eternity, I finally got myself back.

"Thank you for saving me, Vincent..." I appreciated the driver, and he gasped in surprise.

"You're always welcomed, ma'am. But, how did you know my name?" He asked, and I smiled.

After all, I heard when the spirit called him by his name.

"The spirit called your name." I responded with a smile.

"Ohh... That...!" He muttered.

"Yes. So, what actually happened to me?" I asked him, as they bought of them helped me to get to my feet.

Indeed, that was another terrible experience. It wasn't really close to what I envisioned for myself. I didn't know the reason why I always had to fall into the enemies trap.

"Well, the spirit tried to hypnotize you, and imprison you for life. An important rule that you must learn, is never to talk to any spirit. Once you so that, you give them full access to your body and soul and that way, they can be able to penetrate you." He explained, and I stared in surprise.

What if he wasn't there with us?

What would have happened to me?

"But, what were the words that you said at that time, that made the spirit to let go of her?" Karen, the maiden asked him.

I was equally interested in knowing about this as well.

"Those are words that run in our dynasty. They're words of protections against evil spirits." He explained, and I nodded.

Just as we were about to continue our journey, we heard the roar of a lion and when we lifted our heads, we saw two lions, proceeding towards us.
