At the ghost town.

At this point, everyone in the airplane were already fidgeting. I honestly knew that this wasn't a normal incident.

It was definitely another tough test for me. I didn't know why all these negativity were always coming my way.

What was I going to do?

"What should we do now?" I asked the one of the hostesses, and the brought one parachute for me.

"You have to wear them, ma'am!" She said, and immediately made to assist me to wear it.

Honestly, everything was happening very fast.

"What are the others going to wear?" I asked her, and she stared at the other direction, and saw all of them hurrying up to wear theirs.

Indeed, this matter was just more serious than I even expected.

"We have less than two minutes, as I am about to lose full control of this airplane..." The pilot announced from the cockpit, and I tried to put myself in order.

Even if I decided to land now, where exactly am I going to land?

What was going to be my fate?

What if I land in the midst of lions or wild beasts?

Phew! This was really traumatizing.

"Are you ready, ma'am? I believe it's time for us to jump down..." Doctor Melvin asked me, and I smiled at him.

It was a smile of uncertainty and frustration. I thought the moon goddess had designed my path to a better destiny.

"Can't you just land, or better still control that plane until you get to the next landing spot?" I asked the pilot.

At this time, I couldn't think straight, as my mind had suddenly gone blank as a result of so much thoughts.

"I don't think it'd be possible, ma'am. If you want me to give it a try, then it means that all of us might die together in a crash." He announced.

I didn't want anything of that, so I had to take the first choice. I had to jump out of the plane, and embrace whatever uncertainty and fear that was standing in my way.

"Let's go." I said to them.

The driver, was the first to jump down. The maiden followed suit, and Doctor Melvin was hesitant about jumping down without me.

"You have to go now. It is my destiny, and you have yours too. I'm coming down afterwards, just go." I said to him, before he reluctantly jumped down.

Since I was choice less at this moment, I watched him go down, while I was the last to jump down. I knew that the air hostesses, where definitely going to follow suit.

Being on the air was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I kept wondering about a whole lot of things. I wasn't sure of where I was going to land, and what I was going to expect.

One of the things that baffled me the most about all of my adventures, was specifically the fact that I always had a bad story to tell. Well, maybe this one would be different.

Who knows?

After being moved around in the air for what seemed like an eternity, I finally landed in a mountain that resembled a ghost town. It still had some visible crumbles of what looked like an exquisite castle.

"I'm here finally. Who knows what's next?" I asked myself, while taking a very hard breathe.

Honestly, the journey of the last few hours wasn't funny, and I deserved to be happy that I even made it this far.

Now, my biggest fears were soon going to be unlocked. How was I going to stay here alone, without any human interactions?

Just then, I had a voice that resembled that of the maiden, but I was very scared to answer. I heard that spirits were good at changing their voices, and pretending to be who they weren't.

"Is anyone here?" The maiden's voice kept ringing like a bell.

After being calm for a while, and also very convinced that the voice would really be hers, I finally decided to respond.

"Who are you, and why are you trying to impersonate someone else? I know that you're a familiar spirit." Although I was scared, I still had to speak with so much confidence as this wasn't the right time for me to show any form of weakness.

However, after she replied me, I was very convinced that it was the maiden.

"I'm not a spirit, ma'am. It's me, Karen, your humble maiden." She responded.

Karen?

Was that her name?

Ohh! I really had the bad habit of not knowing people's name. It was really awkward.

"Are you sure?" I asked again.

Honestly, I didn't know why I was actually hesitant, but I didn't have a choice, other than to keep watching.

"Yes, ma'am. Please, which side are you, I'm so scared?" She asked in panic. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me that she was really scared. After all, I was also scared, I just didn't have to show it.

"I can hear your voice from the east side. Come towards the right." I said to her, and she responded in affirmation.

"Alright, ma'am." She responded.

Honestly, I was so glad that I had taken geography seriously I'm school, as it was my saving grace at this very moment.

I kept giving her the directions, until she got to where I was, and she immediately ran into my warm embrace.

Indeed, it was the only thing that we needed at that particular moment.

"I was so scared that I was going to die in this thick forest." She cried out, and I smiled at her.

"You're safe, now. There's no need for you to be afraid, anymore." I smiled at her with so much happiness.

At this point, I felt the urge to drink water, and I knew that it was really going to be a long journey here.

"How do we get water, now?" I asked in frustration.

"I believe that we can be able to do that, if we're able to connect with the boys." She said with a smile.

Right!

She had a valid point.

"He's dead." A male baritone voice cried out behind us.
