A subtle dare...!

What were they going to do?

At this point, I knew that they were obviously sick and tired or being imprisoned, just like the way that I had run for my life.

One question kept ringing in my mind. Would they accept her proposition or not?

"I'd do all of you the grace of living a peaceful life, just like the way you were doing before they apprehended you'll..." She continued.

I kept looking at them, so as to know what would happen.

"Come of it, none of my men would compromise because of your cheap proposition." The spokesperson said with a smile.

"Well, let's see." The queen mother, responded.

Obviously, their spokesman was very sure and confident that none of his men would compromise. Unfortunately, the worst was about to happen.

"Are you aware that the next agenda for these wicked alphas, is to kill all of you one after the other?" The queen mother asked them, with a very quiet tone.

Each passing second, I could hear, feel and smell the tension that was in the atmosphere. Indeed, they were really having a double mind.

"Stop these cheap talks. We're not interested..." The chief spoke person continued.

At this time, the spirit woman was already smiling in a mischievous manner. It was just very obvious that her plans had begun to materialize.

"Shut up your mouth, you little man. Learn to speak for yourself alone. Dimwit!" The queen mother cursed at him, and he growled at her in anger.

It was now obvious that they both of them were willing to tear each other apart. Well, the only thing that I could continue doing at that given moment, was to continue looking for the most perfect opportunity to escape.

Yup! I was willing to take another risk.

After all, my fate was still going to be the same, even if I stayed back.

Just at that moment, the chief spokesperson of the wolves, cleared his throat to ask them a question.

"Great warriors of the blood and moon pack, I greet you all..." He began. "This old witch keeps talking about how we're going to succumb to her evil desires, and betray our powerful kingdom. Is it true?" He threw the question at them, and their was another chaos among them.

A greater part of them were revolting against him. To say that he was shocked, was an understatement. He was ashamed of himself because he had just embarrassed himself, and it would be a devastating experience, if his men betrayed him in the battle field.

"Hehehe..." The queen mother laughed out in satisfaction.

The eyes of the wolf pack leader, stared at her with so much disdain and disgust.

"I see what you've done here. Hypnotizing my men, and taking over their minds, is absolutely insane. Well, that is the most that a coward can do, as you already know that I'm going to defeat you." The wolf pack leader, continued.

In all honesty, I could hear the fear and panic in his voice, even though he was trying very hard to hide them all.

"You sound so defeated, already. Actually, it might interest you to know that I haven't hypnotized any of your men, yet. They are actually speaking their minds." The spirit woman, continued.

One thing that I had noticed about this spirit woman, was the fact that she was very tenacious, and she also had an intimidating presence.

"Shut up!" The wolf pack leader yelled in anger.

Maybe, he was already sick and tired of talking.

"Nope. Remember, this is my kingdom, and I decide what happens here, and how I want it to. You better keep your mouth shut, to avoid loosing them." She replied the wolf pack leader, with extreme meanness.

This was it!

I didn't know why, but I actually wanted to see them destroy each other. At least, it would give me the much needed opening to run for my life.

"You can't do more than a dead rat..." The wolf leader said, and immediately sent a laughing gas back to the queen mother and the rest of her men.

It equally affected me. We'll started laughing like hyenas.

The effect wasn't really funny.

"What did you just do to my men...?" The queen mother asked in anger and fear, knowing fully well that the lives of everyone in her kingdom was at stake.

"This is just a tip of the iceberg." The wolf pack leader, replied with a satisfactory smile. Well, the smile was only for a short time, as the queen mother replied back with bigger cloned wolves.

She undid the laughing gas charm on her men, by doing some incantations, and her wolves continued to eat the other wolves, up.

It was really a fearful sight to behold.

"Do you have any other thing to say?" She asked him, before bursting out in a very long session of laughter.

At this point, he realized that he had been defeated.

"You can't get away with this..." He said in anger, and made to disappear, but the queen mother caught him midway.

"Where do you think that you're running to? We just started the battle, and you're trying to run away." She said with a smile.

To me, I felt like the wolf pack leader, made the worst mistake, which was trying to run away. He realized at the wrong time that he had already lost the battle.

"You think you can get away with this heinous act of yours? Well, I'd make you pay for it." He replied her in anger.

The tension in the kingdom was slowly reducing, as the wolves remaining alive, had been reduced to a very drastic amount. They were few, and they were already fidgeting.

"You can't do anything, at all. Well, I'm going to do your remaining men a favour." The queen mother said.

"They don't care about it." He said.

"Well, I'm going to allow the remaining part of you to leave here alive, if you join my kingdom." She blurted, and their was an uproar.
