What to do?

Sydney POV

I was in the room looking around trying  to figure out why my mother would erase my memory.  It didn't make since.  If she was alive why would she make me forget again. 

Something in me told me that I needed to keep the locket near me.  I needed to figure out more somehow.

Knock

Knock

The door slowly opened.

"Sydney, it's Vic.  I brought you breakfast. "

"Thank you but where did Wesley go?"

"He got called away but he'll be back shortly."

"Okay, thank you."

He bowed his head and walked out.  I could hear him outside the door.  Probably keeping an eye on me until Wesley returned.

I need to figure out a way to get away from here.  I need to follow my mom.

Just then I heard some mumbling outside the door.  The door slowly opened and in walked Wesley.

He looked at me with concern in his eyes.

"How are you feeling, love?"

"A lot better...thank you.  I think I could go for a walk. "

"I have pack business to attend but after, maybe we can go for that walk."

I knodded my head.  Wesley walked over and kissed my forehead.

"I'll see you later. "

"Okay."

Then he walked out the door.

I sat there and stared around the room for awhile, thinking what I could do while I waited.

I finally got up and took a shower.  It felt good to have the heat running over every inch of my body.  It felt good to relax all my muscles.

I got out and dressed for a walk then I walked out of the room.

I walked out of the pack house.  Not sure where I was going but I knew that some how I would know when I found it.

The locket would guide me.  I don't know how but I knew it would take me to her!

I walked through the clearing and straight into the forest.  I knew Wesley would be mad but I had to do this ALONE!


Sydney POV

I walked until I saw a river.  The coolness brought me to it.  I sat next to the water and breathed it in.

All of a sudden my chest felt like it was warming up.  I looked up and my locket was glowing blue.

I felt like the locket was guiding me to where I was supposed to go. 

I walked across the river and around some boulders.

Another pain in my chest hit harder than before.  The locket grew brighter.

Just then a growl grew from near by.  I am far from the pack house now.  

I started running.  I don't know where I was going but I ran.

A howl erupted stronger than I have heard before.  Stronger than any wolf I have ever heard.  I needed to escape so I ran until suddenly I tripped over a root.  I hit my head. 

I started blinking and got to my feet and tried scrambling to keep going.  Then it happened, he caught me.  He jumped on top of me and knocked me down.   I looked up then passed out for all the pain.


Wesleys POV

I left the room to deal with the other pack.  I needed to get things in order and it would take my mind off Sydney for a bit.

I mind linked Victor. 

"Victor, meet me in my office.  Bring Max too."

"Right away, Alpha."

I got to my office and sat behind my desk.  Felt like forever I have actually been in here.

"Alpha!"

"Good you both came!"

"Yes, but there's been a development!"

I raise my eyebrows.

"Another baby pup has been taken."

I stand up.

"When did this happen?"

"Last night."

"Let's go while the scent is still fresh."

"Max, find my mother and  tell her what we are doing and ask her to watch Sydney for me.  Victor, round up the troops and meet me out front…..we are going hunting!"

Everyone was gathered so I was getting ready to give my speech.

"Our neighboring pack has had their pups kidnapped.   They came to us for help! Last night another pup was kidnapped.   We will run to their aid and hopefully be able to pick up the scent of these creatures. We have the best trackers in our pack.  Let's go before we lose any more daylight."

I heard growls of acceptance as we all started shifting.

I knew this would hurt Sydney to be away but I had to do it.  Atleast she would be safe with my mother!

Together we raced on towards the forest border to reach their pack as soon as possible.

I could feel my link with Sydney break as we raced further away.
