The Ring

Sydney pov

I woke up and Grayson had left already. He left a note by my bed saying he was either in the office or downstairs getting things ready. To mindlink him if needed when I woke up. I smiled at that statement and got up from the bed.

I walked over to the bathroom and took a shower.

As I got dressed I realized something. My father is not going to let them in, he will know they are wolves right away since he is a trained Hunter. Also, if I manage to see my mother's jewelry box and he is there then how do I take it if he won't let me have it.

I started thinking about what we could do as I got ready and headed down to the kitchen where I was sure everyone was at by now.

"Good morning all." I spoke as I entered the kitchen.

"Good morning Sydney." Wesley, Annabelle, and Wesley mother spoke.

"Good morning dear." Grayson spoke as he kissed the top of my head.

"We were just going over the plan while waiting for breakfast." Wesley spoke.

"What is the plan?"

"Well, the four of us would go with you to your father's house and once inside....."

"I'm going to stop you right there!"

They all looked at me confused.

"You guys remember my father is a hunter, right. Well he has adapted a sense of smell to the wolves, which is why Rich never came over. He always excused the smell as I worked in a restaurant with wolves present but he didn't know that one lived with me. He never met Wesley either, I don't know how he figured about him but he never met him in person."

I took a deep breath and continued.

"If you show up with me he will not allow you inside, I am not sure if he will be able to sense Annabelle wolf since her wolf was in hiding for so long. So she might let her in but definately not you boys."

They looked at eachother as they were thinking over what I said.

"Well, she smells like you so either way he will tell that she has been with a wolf so maybe we show ourselves so he doesn't think we are hiding." Wesley spoke.

"I won't let her in there alone!" Grayson responded in anger.

"Annabelle will be with her. We won't leave, we will stay by the door and any sense of trouble and we will break down the door."

"I don't like this idea, after everything she's been through because of that horrible man."

"She will be fine Lycan, I will make sure of it." Annabelle smiled sweetly.

"We can't hid that she's pregnant what......"

I reached up and touched his cheek.

"I will be fine. I have Annabelle inside and you will be right out side the door plus back up not far away."

Grayson huffed in annoyance.

Everyone seemed to agree on this new plan.

"One more problem....."

I spoke and turned to Wesley's mother.

"The ring you showed that my mother is suppose to have in the jewelry box. How do I take it if my father is there watching?"

"I saw this day coming and so did my mother. I didn't know who you were but I knew our paths would cross in my life time." Wesley's mother spoke.

She pulled out a small box from her pocket.

"This is the ring my mother told me to save for you. This ring is similar to hers but doesn't have the magic attached to it. You must wear this ring and when you can switch it for the right one. Then pretend you want a different piece of jewelry never go for that ring while he is looking at you."

She handed the box to me. I opened at was shocked to see the ring looked so familiar to my mother's. I have never seen anyone ever have a ring like this before and now I was holding a matching ring.

"Thank you so much. This means so much to mean that you are helping me with everything."

She knodded her head and smiled at me.

"Now go sit, I will bring you breakfast before you all head out on this journey to your fathers."

I knodded my head and heading to the table. Grayson was by my side and held out the chair for me to sit before he sat next to me at the head of the table.

"Make sure you update the second team before we head out Wesley. We don't want any mishaps because they weren't informed correctly." Grayson spoke.

"Yes Grayson, I will contact Carlos and Victor right after breakfast to confirm they are aware of the new changes."

He knodded his head back to Wesley.

The food was brought to the table as we started eating breakfast.

We ate in comfortable silence as we filled our belly's before we left for the day.

We got up and put our dishes in the sink as we started getting ready to leave.

"Drop me off at the edge of town so I can go be with the second team. To help if I can." Wesley's mother spoke.

We all piled into the car and as soon as we got to the edge of the human town we stopped to let Wesley's mother out. Victor was waiting for her to take her to the location that he was waiting at until the signal was given.

"Good luck everyone." Wesley's mother spoke before she left the car and left with Victor.

We drove through town, and passed my old apartment. I looked over at it as we passed it. A few minutes later we arrived at my father's house as the memory of the last time I was here came in my mind. I knew it would be different this time, I wasn't alone now.

We all got out and started walking towards the door. Suddenly Grayson stopped me and pulled me into his chest.

I looked and Annabelle and Wesley backed up to give us some space to speak before we went to the door.

I looked up to Grayson as I tried not to cry.

"I know what you are thinking about dear. I know you are thinking about what happened when you were here last. I know I didn't know you yet so I couldn't save you. I am very grateful that you had met Wesley and he saved your life that day. That will not happen again to you as long as we both live we will be protecting you with our lives. I know today is scary and you think you are alone but you are not. You have Annabelle inside, you have us at the door. Plus don't forget you have a whole other team behind us to protect you. We will get through and get that ring and then I will let you decide what we do with your father, unless he puts your life in danger than I will not be able to control my Lycan we he comes out to save you!"

I smiled as he spoke I knew he would always look out to protect me.

I finally voiced my concern to him.

"What if......what if Mitch is there with my father still when we go in. What if he's sees that I'm pregnant and starts to punish me. What if you guys can't get it and this......this was all for nothing!"

He lifted my chin up to look me in the eyes. He wiped my tears away as I tried to stop crying.

"There is nothing in the world that could stop me from getting to you, whatever or who ever is inside we will deal with. I am here to protect you and my baby."

I smiled and wiped my tears as Grayson kissed my cheek. I took a minute to compose myself so it wouldn't seem like I was crying this whole time.

Grayson turned to Wesley and spoke.

"Is everything in place?"

"Yes Grayson, everything is how it should be."

He knodded in response.

"Your mother, any change there?"

He closes his eye as he spoke to his mother.

"She said she could see nothing that changed but she will keep watching and let us know."

"Let me know immediately Wesley."

"Of course, I will."

He knodded in response.

We headed to my father's door. Annabelle took my hand as the boys positioned themselves behind us.

I didn't know what to expect but I knew that these people would always be by my side.

We knocked on the his door waiting for what was going to come to us.
