Picnic
Sydney pov
Picnic, I was so excited to hear we were having a picnic. I haven't really ever had one, even when I was younger. My father always said they were a waste of time that we could eat at home and we did. We never had dinner out anywhere, rarely did anything outside of the house. The only thing we did do as a family was bowling and I am surprised he even allowed that.
I saw Wesley and Annabelle head to the kitchen to start making some sandwiches and packing snacks. Grayson came behind me and held me and my baby as we watched them in the kitchen smiling happy at each other.
I knew they wanted us out so the boys wouldn't get all crazy waiting for answer. I knew the answer would come with time. I was worried but so glad I had everyone I did.
They finished packing everything in the kitchen and smiled at us.
"Is everyone ready?" Wesley spoke.
"I'll go grab a big blanket and then we can go." Said Grayson.
Annabelle and I headed out the door waiting for the boys outside the pack house.
We stood there both smiling and giddy. I don't think either of us had been on a picnic, maybe she has but either way she was just as excited as me.
The boys came out holding a picnic basket and blanket.
Grayson and I walked behind Wesley and Annabelle. I knew he was going near the river but I let him lead us anyways.
"It's a very nice place you have here Wesley."
"Thanks Grayson we try our best to keep it up and as much natural as possible."
"I get that, no one would know I was so close to you because of all the forest."
"Wait a minute exactly how close are you to the territory?"
Grayson laughed as I smiled up at him, remembering how he found me the first time around.
"Maybe 20 minutes or so from here.......sound about right Sunshine?"
I smiled up at him.
"Yes that sounds about right."
Wesley looked at me lost in thought and then turned back around.
He finished guiding us to the perfect spot. It was near the edge of the territory next to a river, not too many trees but away from the town some.
"Here's the spot I thought everyone would love."
"It's perfect Wesley!" Annabelle said frantically.
"It really is a great spot Wesley. Thanks for bringing us here." Grayson spoke.
He laid out the blanket and took my hand and guided me to the blanket. I sat down and he sat behind me, once he was rested against the tree he pulled me closer into his lap. His hands made his way around my tummy protectively as his chin rested on my shoulders.
We watched as Wesley and Annabelle got comfortable. We all looked at the view of the river as we relaxed.
"This is such a beautiful view Wesley. You must make sure to bring Annabelle here all the time."
Annabelle looked over to me and smiled.
Wesley looked at me and I could see the wheels turning in his head. Not sure if he still was upset with me, he had taken me here but I didn't want to bring it up and clearly he didn't either. We both had mates now, things were different now. I still cared for Wesley but my love was purely for Grayson. He took my whole heart.
I looked down at Grayson's hands on my belly. I placed my hands on top of his, and when I did he started kissing my shoulder. I could feel him inhaling my scent, calming his nerves. I felt him poking on my back side, as I realized he was getting turned on with just my touch on his. I bit my lip to keep a moan from escaping my lips.
I sat up a little from Grayson to keep my breathing under control. I wanted to jump his bones and I didn't care who was near me either.
"Are you guys hungry?" Annabelle asked as she blushed.
I could tell Wesley was doing the same to her what Grayson was doing to me. Our hormones were in overdrive for many reasons, one was recently mated. Then for me it was also pregnancy related.
"Yes, I am hungry. I feel like I haven't eaten at all in days!"
They all chuckled at my response.
"Yup, your definately pregnant my dear."
I scowled at Grayson's statement then turned to look at Annabelle who was unpacking all the food.
"Thank you both for making the delicious food." I spoke before I shoved a sandwich in my mouth.
Grayson giggled and kissed the top of my head.
Annabelle and Wesley handed out the food and drinks. We all began eating as we sat and looked at the beautiful scenery around us.
I finished eating and tried to get up, Grayson jumped up to help me up. I dusted off the crumbs then stretched my body.
"Let's go get our feet wet in the river."
I smiled big at Grayson, he smiled. He leaned down and took my shoes off and then his and we walked over to the river and stuck our feet in.
It was cold but not freezing and it relaxed my feet.
I saw Wesley and Annabelle come in and couldn't help myself. I kicked water lightly at Wesley as Grayson laughed.
Wesley turned around and laughed then splashed water back at me. We all started splashing each other and before I knew it we were all splashing and running. Having a good time together like there was no worry in the world.
"Wesley!"
We turned just as Wesley was pulled into the water by Annabelle when she slipped. We laughed so hard as they stood up.
Wesley faced turned hard, I knew his mother contacted him.
"Wesley?"
He looked at me then everyone.
"Mom is done, they are doing some research now. She said take your time and no rush they need to find some clue."
"Okay."
Everyone was stuck thinking what they could possible have learned. We no longer wanted to be at the picnic.
"Okay, everyone let's head in and change. Then we will watch a movie while we wait for them to come tell us what they know." Grayson spoke.
"Great idea, Grayson." Wesley spoke.
We went back to our picnic area and started cleaning up our mess. Putting everything in the basket except the blanket. When we left you couldn't even tell we were there.
We headed back to the pack house this time I lead the way.
"Sydney, have you been there before or do you just remember how to get back?" Grayson asked.
I stopped in my tracks, and turned to face him.
"I will not lie to you Grayson. We did go there before but that was before everything. Before he met Annabelle, and before I met you."
"Okay." He walked over and kissed my head. "Let's go inside and watch a movie then."
We walked inside, it was quieter than before.
I placed my hands around my belly as I could feel the tension in the air.
"I think we should clear the air." Wesley spoke.
I gulped, we didn't do anything but still made me nervous.
"Sydney and I did date, she even lived here with me for some time. We have gone on dates, and I have rescued her from attackers, including her father and ex fiancee...." Wesley spoke.
Grayson growled and was wrapping his arms around me protectively.
"I am sorry to both Grayson and Annabelle." Wesley spoke.
"You have nothing to be sorry for. That was before me and honestly if you didn't know her then I wouldn't have such a great friend." Annabelle spoke.
We looked now to Grayson to see his response.
"I am not mad at you Wesley......I am mad and concerned when it comes to the bastard of a father and all the other hunters that are still waiting for her to come back. I am glad you were there for her......of course I wish you hadn't touched her but you respected her wishes and protected her when I wasn't here yet. You have no idea how glad you were there. She might have been killed if you were not assigned as her protector. I will forever be indebted to you."
He bowed his head slightly at Wesley.
Wesley knodded back in response.
I was so happy both my boys were not mad and there was no secrets between the four of us.
"Let's go sit and watch a movie while we mate." I spoke.
"I'll make the popcorn." Annabelle shouted.
We all got comfortable on the couches. I snuggled into Grayson chest.
Annabelle brought the popcorn and we all ate and watched the movie relaxing.
We eventually all started drifting off as we waited to hear the news.
