Pain

Sydney pov

I woke up and Grayson wasn't there. It is the first time in a long time he hasn't been there when I opened my eyes in the morning. I stretched my body and got out of bed. There was a note so I took it to the window where I opened the window, letting the fresh morning air hit my face.

It was a beautiful morning and really a beautiful town they had here. I really didn't notice it before when we first came here. I looked down at the note as I read it.

Dearest Sydney,

I had to get up early to make sure training and wolves were in place so I had to leave your side so early this morning. Please do not leave Annabelle side and do not go out of the packhouse until we have captured these hunters.

I smiled as I read the note. He was a very caring man and it showed in everything he did.

"You may enter."

"Good morning Luna, I was informed you would be awake and to stay with you for the day and help with whatever you need." Annabelle stated.

"Sydney."

"Ma'am?"

"Annabelle, call me Sydney when we are alone......no need to be so formal."

"Okay ma'am, I mean Sydney."

I got away from the window and faced Annabelle.

"Annabelle, we are going to be in each other's lives for a long time so I want you to be honest with me. If there's ever a time you don't want to do something or I upset you please tell me. I want us to be friends not just someone you are working for."

"Thank you Sydney."

I smiled and as I starting walking towards her I got a shooting pain in my stomach and almost fell to the ground. Annabelle ran over to me and kept me from falling over.

"Sydney, what's wrong are you okay?"

"I don't know, I felt a pain. It must be from yesterday from over doing it."

"Should I call the doctor?"

She helped me sit on the bed. I then felt pain in my head, I grabbed it and then I heard a voice.

"Sydney, answer me......what's wrong???" Grayson spoke, panicked in my head.

"Grayson is that you?"

"Yes, I could feel your pain. What happened?"

"I'm fine, I just got a little pain......I think from yesterday still."

"I'm sending the doctor to you."

"DON'T......they can't help me here. I'm not a wolf like you."

"Even so, they can make sure you are okay. Are you alone?"

"No, Annabelle is here with me."

"Good, i'll send the doctor over. I'll be there shortly."

That ended the conversation in my head.

"Annabelle?"

"Yes."

"The doctor will be here shortly, can you help me back into bed to cover myself. Grayson will be here too."

She helped me back into bed and positoned pillows behind my back so I would be sitting up.

KNOCK

Annabelle walked over and answered the door. She let in the doctor and he walked over to my side.

"Good Morning Luna, I heard your not feeling well."

"I am fine, I just got a bit of pain in my stomach. The Lycan just worries too much."

"Even so we should get you checked out to see."

He started listening to my heart, checking my pulse, he even drew blood.

"Luna, are you able to leave me a sample to run some tests?"

I looked to Annabelle, and she came over to my side.

"I will help you, Luna."

Annabelle helped me up and we went into the bathroom after she helped get me on the toilet she turned around to give me privacy. Once done I went to stand up alone and got dizzy.

"Luna, I got you."

She spun around so quick that my vision got blurry. We walked carefully back to the bed and she helped set me back up. Annabelle then went back to the bathroom to fetch my sample I left on the counter for the doctor.

She handed the sample over to the doctor and bowed her head as she went to sit next to me in the chair.

"How long until the results come back?" Grayson spoke as he walked through the door and headed for my side in the bed.

"Maybe a couple hours but I will give it our top proirity sir."

"I want to know as soon as it comes in."

"Yes sir."

The doctor walked out of the room and in walked Wesley with confusion all over his face.

"What happened?" Wesley asked.

"She had pain in her stomach and almost fell." Grayson replied.

"She also got dizzy in the bathroom and almost fell." Annabelle spoke up.

"I felt it........I felt all of it. First it was subtle but it got stronger. I got dizzy but it wasn't were I couldn't do anything, it's almost like I was seeing her pain with a glimpse of where she was. I came here to make sure it was really Sydney I was feeling." Wesley spoke.

"It seems you really are here protector, I wasn't sure about it but this confirms it. The doctor is waiting on tests so I think we should go let her rest."

Grayson turned and faced me.

"Please my dear, get some rest while you wait for the results. I don't want you doing anything until we know what is going on."

"Please Annabelle, if anything else happens get ahold of me or Wesley. We will be here immediately and when the doctor comes back call us too."

"Yes Lycan."

Grayson laughed.

"If it's just the four of us, you may call me Grayson."

She smiled at him.

"Now Wesley, you will stay with me until we get word from the doctor so if Annabelle contacts you I will be there as well."

"Sure."

I leaned down and kissed my forehead before getting up and walking out the door with Wesley following behind.

"I guess I need to lay down then."

Annabelle chuckled as she held me adjust myself in the bed.

"You know I have never been sick in my life like this. I hope I can get over this quickly, we have too much going on for me to be sick."

Annabelle and I talked for a bit, wasting time since I couldn't sleep. An hour had passed already with me not being sleepy.

Knock
Knock

Annabelle went and answered the door. The doctor then entered the room.

"We are still doing some tests but I have some results for you."

He handed me a paper, and I was reading it. It was my urine test, everything was negative as I was reading it which I assumed was good. The very last test was......Pregnancy. What it couldn't be.......I looked to see the results...........POSITIVE.

I looked back to the doctor, who was waiting for me to speak.

"How.......I mean I am not a wolf?"

Annabelle looked at me, confused.

"I am not really sure, I have heard of humans carrying wolf babies but rare circumstances were either baby or mother don't survive. I will have to look into it more to see Luna."

I looked at Annabelle just as she covered her mouth.

"You may leave doctor."

He knodded as he left the room.

"Call the boys Annabelle.........I'm not sure I can handle this alone!"

Her eyes turned black as she called Wesley to come back. I couldn't hear there conversation but she must have yelled at him to get here immediately because not long after the door swung open. Not even a knock on the door, I looked at there faces. How would I tell them?

Annabelle looked at Wesley then spoke.

"Wesley, I think we should give them a minute."

She walked towards him and practically dragged him out of the room.

I looked over at Grayson as he cautiously walked over to the bed and sat next to me.

"What did the doctor say, princess?"

I started sniffling, trying not to cry. I still had the paper from the doctor in my hand.

"I.......I we'll we are........Pregnant!"

I started sobbing as I handed him the paper.

He smiled up at me as he took in what I said.

"Pregnant......I'm going to be a father?"

"Maybe?"

"What do you mean?"

"The chances of me or the baby surviving is rare, and with me being half fae we don't know what will happen plus your Lycan not just a wolf. We can't tell the doctor i'm a fae so what are the chances of survival!"

Graysons face fell as he took in my words.

"No this can't be......I just found you, I can't......I won't lose you. We will find a way to get through this. We will find someone who can figure this out."

He pulled me onto his lap as I held onto his chest. Crying on him as my body drained and I fell asleep in Grayson embrace.
