The check up

Sydney pov

We were laying there watching the movie just enjoying the time together.

"Sydney?"

"Hum."

He smiled at me.

"It's time to go see the doctor." I got up off Grayson and stretched.

Suddenly I felt kicking in my belly. I grabbed my belly and looked down at my bump.

"Grayson?"

He turned and looked at me and then looked to my belly.

He ran over to me.

I grabbed his hands and placed them on my belly.

His eyes widen as he felt the kick of the baby inside me.

I smiled brightly at him.

"Our baby."

"Yes Grayson, our baby is excited to meet us."

He leaned his head against mine as he held his hand on my belly.

"Are you ready to go see our baby?"

"Yes."

"Okay, let's go then."

He grabs my hand and kisses the back of it. Then guides us to the car to drive to the doctor's appointment. Once inside I start wondering how far away it is.

Grayson gets inside the car and starts driving.

"Grayson, how far away is the doctor's office?"

"Not far." He chuckled. "You anxious?"

"I'm.....I'm nervous. What if they say something is wrong with the baby."

He looked at me then turned back to road.

"The baby will be fine, we wil get through what ever we need to together."

A few minutes later he pulled up to an office.

He parked the car and got out of the car and walked over to my side. He opened the door and put his hand out to help me up. I put my hand in his and got out. Resting my hand on my baby bump.

We walked in the office and checked in and then went down to sit down. I sat there waiting for awhile before the nurse had come to get us and put us in a room. Before she left she gave me a cup to leave a sample before the doctor came in to check on me.

I went to the bathroom and left a sample then went back to the room. I got up on the table and waited for the doctor to come in.

"You comfortable Sydney."

I looked over at him sitting in the chair.

"As comfortable as I can be."

He knodded his head as we waited. Luckily we didn't have to wait for so long.

There was a knock on the door and then the doctor entered.

"Good afternoon Lycan and Luna. We will check on your baby now. Go ahead and lay on the table and lift your shirt up so we can see your baby."

Grayson walked to the table the side that didn't have the equipment and held my hand.

The doctor sat next to the machine and turned to me.

"Now Luna, this gel is cold but once i put it on we will spread it around so we can see your baby."

I knodded my head at him.

He squeezed the gel on my belly and started spreading it around before he started looking at the screen in front of him.

He kept looking at the screen and started getting nervous. We watched as he kept moving the equipment over my belly.

Finally I had enough.

"What is going on?" I demanded.

I could feel Grayson tense at my statement.

"Lycan, Luna.......I don't know why but your image of your baby is being blocked." He pointed to the screen. "This is where your baby should be but it's like it is being blocked here."

He started backing away from me, and towards the door.

I looked to Grayson who staring daggers at him. I squeezed his hand gently to get his attention.

He turned to me.

"Remember!" I pointed to my ring on my hand.

"Dismissed." Grayson spoke.

The doctor quickly left the room.

"How are we to make sure the baby is okay if you can't take the ring off."

I smiled at him.

"My guess is going to be a witch, again."

He huffed in annoyance.

There was a soft knock on the door.

The doctor poked his head in slightly.

"I just wanted you to know that your baby will be fully grown in 2 months."

"2 months?" I practically shouted at him.

"Yes Luna, since you are human and he is Lycan the pregnancy will be shorter. Make sure when you go home you keep up with your doctor as well."

"Thank you doctor." Grayson spoke.

He bowed his head and left the room again.

I cleaned my tummy from the gel and then sat up.

Grayson put his hand out for me to grab.

I took his hand as he helped me down and we left the room and headed back to the car to go back to the pack house.

We drove in silence back to the back house. We got there and he helped me out of the car.

We walked inside the pack house.

"Sydney." Annabelle yelled.

I looked up at her.

"What's wrong Sydney.......is the baby okay?"

"The baby is fine........we ......"

I looked to Grayson.

"We couldn't see the baby because she is protected by the ring." Grayson spoke softly.

"Oh, I'm sorry."

Annabelle looked towards Wesley's mother.

"Well, at least the baby is healthy." Wesley's mother spoke.

"We only have 2 months before the baby is born so we will be heading back home in the morning." Grayson spoke with authority.

"Okay, how about we play board games and watch movies until dinner then?"

"That sounds great." I said.

Grayson walked over and put his hands on my belly.

"I will get you something to snack on before dinner."

"You and Wesley are gonna play too right?" Annabelle spoke.

Wesley just knodded his head and we smiled.

Grayson went to the kitchen and was cutting up different fruits as I walked over to the couch.

Annabelle brought over different board games. Her and Wesley sat down on the other couch.

Grayson walked over and sat next to me. He handed me a big bowl of different fruits with a tall bottle water. My mouth watered at all the delicious food.

"Thank you Grayson."

"Your welcome."

He kissed the top of my head and turned to the group.

"Well I think we should play this one." Annabelle spoke.

"Sure what ever game you want is fine." I spoke.

She set up the game while Wesley found a movie we didn't have to pay full attention to.

We started playing and watching the movie. I snacked and ate all the fruit Grayson had brought me and drank all my water. Once I was done Grayson took my bowl and drink and went to the kitchen and when he came back he had another cup of water for me.

We were in the middle of the game and I stood up. All eyes turned to me. I laughed.

"I have to go to the bathroom."

I started wobbling to the bathroom and finally made it.

I came back and everyone was laughing and playing. I just watched from a far as I saw the people that meant so much to me smiling and getting along.

Grayson turned around and looked over to me with a big smile on my face.

He came over and picked me up bridal style as he brought me over to the couch to our friends.

"I can walk Grayson."

"You can but I don't think you should."

His smile grew big as he spoke. I playfully hit him on his chest.

He set me down on the couch and kissed my forehead.

"Dinner is ready." Wesley's mother shouted from the kitchen.

We all got up and headed for the kitchen. I walked a bit slower then them but it was okay.

We sat down and Grayson started making me a plate. Normally I complain about the amount but not this time. This baby was growing fast and I was hungry all the time now. He put the plate in front of me.

"Thank you Grayson."

He kissed my cheek and then sat down next to me as he started making his own plate.

We started talking about the movie we were watching and the board games, it was nice time. Hated thinking we were leaving in the morning but knew I couldn't stay here forever.

Everyone finished eating and I was still finishing the last of my plate. Grayson placed his hand on my belly as I finished eating. The baby was kicking like crazy as Grayson hand laid there.

I finished and we got up, we went back to the couch for a little longer.

We watched one more movie before bed. I got comfortable on the couch laying on Grayson. Wesley and Annabelle were comfy on the other couch.

Before I knew it I could barely keep my eyes open. I looked down to Grayson's hand resting on my baby bump. I put my hand on top of his and sighed in relief. It was the perfect moment.

I closed my eyes and then I fell asleep in his arms.
