In the office

Grayson POV

I left Sydney as she was taking a nap. I headed down to my office, I mindlinked Caleb to meet me in my office.

I walked into my office just realizing how long I was really gone for.

Knock
Knock

"Come in."

I sat behind my desk and started looking at some paperwork.

In walked Caleb with a coffee in his hand and brought it over to me.

"Thank you."

"Thought you could use it while we catch up."

I laughed.

"Yeah, sit Caleb. You don't need to stand the whole time."

He walked over to the couch and got comfortable.

"Now fill me in on what I missed."

He took a deep breath.

"All the Alphas have been reporting to me since you left here. When you took control the Alphas were happy since they were in a situation with the hunters. Even after you took down the hunters attacking Blue Moon Pack. It seemed there were hunters still waiting for another attack. A couple days ago they all retreated."

"A couple days ago?"

"Yeah, it was really weird. No pack can give me any clue on why they left."

"Sydney killed her father.......the head hunter a few days ago."

Caleb mouth dropped.

"Well she stabbed him and we finished him off."

"So he is connected to the one attacking Blue Moon?"

"Seems so.......which would mean Annabelle and Sydney might be related."

"Who's Annabelle?"

"Annabelle is Wesley's mate. Wesley the Alpha of Moonlight Pack."

He knodded his head in understanding.

"We need our investigator on this to see if my hunch is accurate."

"Yes Lycan."

I looked up at Caleb.

"Really, Caleb."

He chuckled.

"Yes Grayson."

"The word has been spreading that you found your mate. They all want to know what pack she resides from?"

I shook my head.

"They really want to know who I am alliancing with........tell them my alliance is with Moonlight Pack. If they ask about her pack again.......tell them she is Human, nothing more."

"Nothing more? Is she only Human? I mean she knocked us on our asses so I figured she was half something else."

I smiled at Caleb, for being so smart.

"THIS DOES NOT LEAVE THIS ROOM CALEB"

"Yes, Alpha."

"She is half fae and half human......her father was a hunter and raped her mother. She is the first fae in many years to stay in the human world willing and because of this our baby is at risk. There was a curse and we hope this ring works so our baby won't die right before the baby is born. We can't do an ultrasound because the ring is protecting the baby from all elements."

"Oh my god Grayson. That's a lot going on."

"You're telling me. I don't know if I could take much more. I can't lose Sydney or my baby."

"That won't happen, we will make sure she has everything she needs."

I smiled at Caleb, he has already grown attached to her as our Luna.

"The baby is growing fast we have 2 months if that before the baby is here which is why I want her Luna ceremony planned right away. I know she is normally the one planning it but under the circumstances....."

"Should I call your mother and father?"

"Oh my god!"

"What?"

"I haven't told them!"

"Oh, your gonna get an ear full when you speak to her."

We both laughed we knew that was the truth.

"I will call her and see if they can come down. I am the last heir so I am sure they will be pleased to know another Lycan baby is being born."

"What if it's not Lycan?"

"There's a 50-50 chance and since it's growing quickly I believe the odds have increased in our favour."

We laughed, it felt good to laugh again.

"I'm glad you found Sydney, she brought you back to your old self."

I smiled at his statement.

"Any other updates?"

"Nothing important, I took care of all other matters while you were away."

"Okay, thank you Caleb."

"Welcome."

He stood up and smiled.

"I will leave you to calling your parents. I will let you know when dinner is done for you and Sydney to come down."

"Thanks."

He left the office. I was glad things ran smoothly in my absence. Now to call my parents, I picked up the phone as I organized my desk some.

Ring
Ring

"Hello."

"Hello, mother."

"Grayson.......oh my gosh you had us worried. You didn't answer our calls and the seer told us you were in a battle."

I laughed.

"Mother, I am fine. I was just reclaiming my territory the hunters had tried to take over."

"Oh thank god. Is everything okay?"

"Yes mother. I was just seeing if you and father wanted to visit and help me a bit."

"Help you with what? You have a Beta so I know you don't need help running the pack."

"No I was more hoping you could help plan a Luna Ceremony for me."

"WHAT?????"

I pulled the phone away from my ear.

"GRAYSON AXEL KANE you just wait until I see you! And wait until your father finds out."

"Mother, I didn't do it on purpose. I found her and we just had one thing after another happen."

"We will be there either tonight or tomorrow then."

"Thank you mother."

"You're welcome. See you in a bit son, love you."

"Love you too mother."

I hung up the phone and just stared down at my desk, it was a mess since I left. I spent time organizing it to where it was suppose to look like.

I mindlinked Caleb.

"Mother and Father will be here either tonight or in the morning, please have there room prepared for them."

"Yes Lycan."

"Also start airing out the house. You know mother likes her light and flowers."

Caleb chuckled.

"Yes Lycan, right away."

I cut the mindlink as I went back to cleaning my office. Once all that was done, I headed back to our room to check on Sydney.

I slowly opened the door and peeked inside. She was soundly sleeping. I closed the door, and made my way down to the kitchen to see how everyone else was doing.


I made it to the kitchen hearing all the chattering that was going on.

"Good evening Lycan."

They all bowed there head at my arrival.

"Good evening everyone. What is on the menu for dinner?"

"Pasta, with chicken in alfredo sauce sir."

"Sounds great."

I smiled.

Ding Dong

I headed to the door and opened it.

There stood my mother and father.

"Didn't take you long to get here."

"Not when your mother is pissed." My dad chuckled.

I let them in the house.

"Now where is SHE?"

"She has a name, mother."

I heard a gasp, and I looked towards the stairs as Sydney stood there holding her belly.

"Sydney, I didn't know you got up. Let me help you down."

She smiled brightly at me.

"I couldn't nap all day. Even though I am exhausted."

I guided Sydney to in front of my parents.

"Sydney I want to introduce you to.........my parents."

I heard a small gasp but she tried to hide it.

"Good Evening, welcome. Sorry about my attire, nothing really fits right now."

I put my hands on top of her baby bump, making her bump visible past the baggy shirt.

"GRAYSON AXEL KANE............"

My father shook his head. Suddenly my mothere smacked the back of my head.

"She's pregnant! Why didn't you tell us Grayson......What else don't I know."

I gulped and rubbed the back of my head.

I looked to Sydney who seemed very calm.

"My name is Sydney Rose and I am half human.........the baby has about 2 months left before he or she arrives."

I kissed her head.

"Do you want to sit to rest your feet?"

"Yes, can we."

"Oh I am so sorry child. Let's get you sitting on the couch."

I lifted Sydney off her feet as she snuggled to my chest. I breathed in her scent. I sat her on the couch and then sat down next to her.

"There is a lot for you to know about Sydney but we can not speak about her in front of everyone so we will discuss that later so please don't ask right now."

I looked over to Sydney and she had her head down like it was a shame.

I lifted her head and kissed her forehead.

I whispered in her ear.

"There is nothing to be shameful about. You are wonderful."

A tear rolled down her cheek and I kissed her tear away.

"Dinner is ready sir." An omega spoke and bowed her head before leaving.

We made our way to the table and sat down and started eating.

We made small talk about the luna ceremony and about the baby coming in 2 months.

We finished eating and got up and headed towards the stairs again.

"Mom and Dad, I had your room ready for you. You remember how to get there and your bags are already there as well."

"Thank you son, we will see you both tomorrow." My father spoke.

"Thank you dear, sleep well and take care of that beautiful girl." My mother spoke.

"Yes mother."

They left and went up the stairs.

I turned to Sydney and picked her up as I made our way up the stairs to our room.

I open our door and laid Sydney on our bed and helped her get her shoes off. I then got in my pajamas and climbed into bed behind her.

I hugged her and our baby close as I closed my eyes to sleep.
