Grayson pov

I woke up and just watched as Sydney was still sleeping soundly. She just held my hand while her other hand rested on her belly. She started to form a slight bump and it made me smile. All I could think about is how I wanted our baby to survive and that we needed to figure out a way that her and the baby would be safe.

As I was thinking of the day we had ahead of us travelling I heard Sydney stir next to me. I turned and looked at her as she sleepily looked up at me.

"Good morning princess."

"Good morning Grayson......Annabelle is she okay?"

"I haven't checked on them yet, I didn't want to leave your side."

I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Well you are now free to go check on them and see when I am allowed to leave as well."

"Sure thing, my dear. I will be back shortly."

I kissed her on her head and walked out the door to Annabelle's room.

The door was open so I walked in. There was Wesley asleep on the chair, while Annabelle was awake and smiling.

"Good morning Annabelle." I whispered.

"Good morning Grayson."

"I hope you slept well. What did the tests show?"

"Yes, I did thank you....." Wesley stirred and woke up and jumped up when he saw me.

I laughed at his reaction.

"No need to be so formal Wesley, I think we have gone passed that."

He knodded as he stretched.

"You were saying Annabelle."

"Right, the doctors did a full body scan and unfortunately they don't believe they will be able to remove the tracking device safely. They said if it was recent that I might have a chance but being there so long my body formed to it like it was supposed to be there."

"What about what Sydney did........did it help at all?"

"Yes it did.....they took a test before and it was still sending out signals. After they did the scan and not only is it not signaling but they said it looks like it will never be able to function again. So even if my ex is out there still he won't be able to find me anymore."

"That's great news then so when are you released then?"

"The doctor is supposed to come by in an hour or so and check on me and if everything is good then I am free to go."

"That's great, I will let Sydney know."

Wesley then looked at me and spoke.

"How is Syd?"

I gulped as he asked that question.

"She is fine, our baby is fine........for now. We are just waiting to see when we can leave. Once we get the okay we will head back to your pack Wesley."

He smiled big.

"That's good to hear and happy to take you to my home."

I knodded my head at both of them and left to check on Sydney's release before heading to her room.

I approached a desk, near Sydney's room.

"Excuse me."

A woman turned around and looked at my lustfully.

"Yes Lycan, how can I help you."

She licked her lips as she looked at me, biting her lip after she spoke.

"I need to know when the doctor is coming by so we know when she can be released."

She huffed in annoyance.

"What is your problem, woman!" I growled in anger.

There was a small crowd that froze when I growled at her.

"She doesn't deserve you! You deserve a real wolf not what ever she is. So what she helped save people here, she is not deserving as a Lycan mate."

My anger grew, I rounded the counter so quick and had her by her throat.

"DO NOT DISRESPECT MY ETHERAL EVER! You have no right to say anything to me, you mean nothing to me but trash."

I threw her to the ground and turned to leave then turned back to her.

"Do not show your face to me or my mate ever again."

I then walked away to Sydney room, my anger was rising with every step I was taking.

I opened the door to her room and she sat up straight.

"What's wrong Grayson, is it Annabelle."

I walked over to her without speaking and sat on the bed with her, pulling her closely into my chest. I breathed in her scent and I started calming down.

"Annabelle is fine, I was just angry at the stupid woman out there."

Her eyebrows raised questioning me.

"Don't worry your sweet head about it, I took care of it."

"Grayson......I swear!"

She pulled away from me and started getting out of the bed and unhooking herself from the machines.

"Sydney stop..."

"I will not!"

She pulled everything off and walked out of the room, she was steaming. It was almost as bad as I was. I didn't want her to get upset.

The stupid woman didn't even leave where I threw her at.

"YOU!"

She ran towards the woman, who froze on the spot.

She grabbed her by her neck and glared at her.

"What did you do or say to my MATE?"

"Your mate........I .......I'm sorry."

"Speak now before I kill you with my bare hands."

She gulped at my statement.

"Sorry,.......... I was hitting on him and telling him he deserved better than you a non wolf for a mate."

Her eyes turned red and I walked to her and touched her back to try to calm her down. I could feel her anger rising as she held the woman by the throat.

She squeezed the woman by the throat letting her anger out. She wanted her dead, I could feel it but I wouldn't let her be the one to do it.

I slowly took her hand off the woman's throat and turned her to face me.

"Do you want her dead?"

"YES!"

"Are you sure Syd, once I kill her there is no going back."

She looked at me as she thought for a moment.

"Your right Grayson, she's not worth it."

She walked into my arms and I held her tight. I lifted her eyes to mine.

"You need to protect our baby and getting angry will not help the baby."

She sniffled and buried her face in my chest as I held her tightly. I then picked her up bridal style and took her back to her room to wait for the doctor to come in and check on her.

After a few minutes there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" I spoke loudly.

In walked another nurse and smiled sweetly at us.

"I will be taking over for the other nurse. Is it okay if I hook you back up before the doctor gets here to monitor you correct?"

"Yes, sorry for pullling everything off earlier."

"No worries dear, I would have too!"

She smiled sweetly at Sydney and I could feel Sydney relax from there conversation.

"Well, the doctor should be by shortly so try not to get angry and pull anything out again."

We laughed at her statement as she then turned and left the room leaving us alone again.

I got back into the bed beside Sydney and just held onto her. I held onto her as she laid on my chest as we waited on the doctor.

Knock
Knock

"Come in"

In walked the doctor with smiles.

"Sydney, so let's do another ultrasound before we release you to make sure nothing has changed."

"Okay, is there any reason to worry?"

Sydney spoke with worry.

"No absolutely not. I just want to be sure since your traveling."

"Okay."

I could feel Sydney relax. She pulled up her gown revealing her little baby bump as he squeezed the gel onto her belly. He started moving the machine all over to get good pictures on the ultrasound. He then turned the monitor to face us.

"Your baby is doing just fine. Healthy as ever, you should be just fine to travel but make sure you get checked out again as soon as you get there."

"I will make sure that happens." I spoke as I looked at Sydney with endearment.

"Okay, then the nurse will be in to remove everything your attached to and answer any other questions you may have."

"Okay, thanks doctor."

He knodded at both of us and then left the room.

The nurse came in a few minutes later. She started unhooking me from all the machines and let Sydney change so we could leave.

I smiled at Sydney after she changed. No matter what she wore she still looked gorgeous to me.

"Ready?"

"Yes!"

I laughed and walked to her to take her hand in mine.

We walked out the room and headed to Annabelle room to see if she was ready. We met Wesley right outside her room.

"She's getting dressed, she just got released. I already have our bags set in the car so once she is done we will be ready to head to my pack."

Wesley was smiling so much hearing he was able to head home and bring his mate with him.

Annabelle walked out.

"I am ready to head to your pack now Wesley."

He smiled at us all.

"You guys all ready to head to my pack?"

"Let's do it." I said I could feel Sydney's heart beat quicken.

"Everything will be fine." I whispered to Sydney and kissed her head softly.

We walked out of the hospital and Alpha Trevor was waiting at our car.

"Thank you for everything, you all have done for my pack. I will always be in your debt." He bowed his head to all of us.

We said a quick good bye as the girls got in to the car.

"Remember to keep up the training in human form. They just started and they need that training."

"Yes, Lycan we will do that."

He bowed his head again as we got inside the car.

"Driver, head to Wesley's pack now!"

I pulled Sydney to me as we all relaxed and waiting for this long car ride to end.
