Two pups taken from here
Wesley pov
I woke up as everyone was getting breakfast.
Walked over to the campfire. The Alpha just came over.
"Alpha Wesley, thank you for coming on such short notice. We don't know what or who is taking our pups."
I knodded my head.
"We will get to the bottom of this! Let's just hope it's something we can easily catch. "
"I pray for that as well. Good luck on your endeavors. "
With that he got up and left.
I gathered my troops for the morning announcement.
"Troops, two pups were taken just the other day. We are going to put our best trackers up front with Max leading the way! Pack up as quickly as you can and take only essential items with you!"
With that everyone began packing and getting ready to venture off.
Sydney pov
I woke to find a wolf on me. Not just any wolf but the lycan from yesterday.
He moved slightly then got up and sat next to me looking me in the eyes.
"Were you keeping me warm last night?"
He bowed his head to me.
"Thank you…...you can shift back now that I'm up."
He came closer to me and put his nose in my neck. The touch of his nose sent chills down my body.
He backed away and began to shift. I quickly turned away to give him privacy.
I heard his bones crack and was compelled to turn and look.
He had a devilish grin on his face as I took in his body and turned to look away again.
"Don't be afraid to look, you're more than welcome to it" and winked at me.
I turned away as he got dressed. At least he still had clothes.
"You can look now, baby girl."
I turned around and faced him. I looked at him and my heart was racing. God I hope he couldn't hear it.
I walked closer to me with a devilish grin on his face.
He reached over and lifted my face to his eyes and looked deep into mine as if itching my looks into his memory.
Then he whispered in my ear, "baby girl, follow the heart. You will know the truth."
I looked up at him and shook my head.
"Let's go."
I walked out of the cave trying to calm my speeding heart down.
I looked around. It was a beautiful forest with a light breeze. I took the locket out again and held it in my palm.
It started feeling hot and then a light shot out and my mother's figure appeared.
She spoke softly. "You arrived just in time. The portal has closed until the next full moon."
She paused realizing I was not alone.
"This journey to miss is treacherous but will be worth it so you can come into your powers."
She glared at Grayson as he calmly looked at her.
"You will bring her to me in one piece!"
He knodded his head.
"Where do we go to get to you?"
"You will follow the path to the river. Go across the bridge. There is a town, you must be careful they don't discover him or you will not make it to me. Pass the town until you get up the hill and you will sense me then. I love you and will see you."
With that she disappeared again.
"Do you want to fill me in now?"
"Umm not really."
I started moving forward. He grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.
"Listen, I don't mind protecting you with my life baby girl but I need to know what we are up against."
He lifted my chin higher.
"I don't know honestly. This is the first time I have been here. I didn't even know this place existed or my mother…."
I dropped my head from his sight.
He put his hands on my cheeks and lifted my head up again..
"We will find her together, baby girl. I will make sure you get to her."
He held me in his arms. I smelled him in and my body felt on fire from his little touches to me.
Grayson pov
This was some weirdness I was mixed up in but I would do what it took to make Sydney happy.
As I stood there holding her in my arms I could still smell the other male but it was fading from her which meant...he never marked her.
He would never get a chance to, now that she was with me!
I looked down at her. How stupid this wolf would be to let her leave like this.
"Sydney, are you ready to get going?"
She lifted her head slowly to me. She started to back away and I immediately regretted saying anything at all.
"Yes, we should."
She smiled so sweetly. I wanted to devour her right there.
We started walking towards the river.
I pondered what was going through her head as we walked.
