Chapter 47 Just here
I gently stroked my small womb, even though I was lazy to stand up, I forced myself to walk around even just in the room. It's been a month since I stayed here at the mansion, I haven't been with Zeke for a month because he's still finishing his last project in Thailand. I deliberately stopped adjusting the curtain when I heard a faint knock from the door. Maybe they're done cooking a snack.
"Come in," I shouted softly then resumed fixing the curtain I had to open to let the air in.
"You need help please?" In that voice I smirked at the thought that one of my aunts had knocked.
I immediately turned to the toddler as if he had just been in Zafia's womb.
"I can do this. Thank you Vernon," I said with a smile and then he sat on the end of the bed and looked around the room.
"I-I want to play with your baby, can I? I'm willing to borrow my toys with your b-baby," he stammered as if catching his breath and dancing with his feet.
"But my baby is in here, so for now, you can't play with him," I said softly while pointing at my stomach as he widened his eyes.
He tilted his head then turned around and got off the bed and approached me. "Here? Whoah!" Its masculine eyes then clapped which made me laugh softly.
It just looked at my little belly and its little hand spontaneously caressed it. It looked very much like its mother except for the eye she got from her father. Thank goodness. But the habit seems divided. I held Vernon's hand to help him down into the living room. I could only glance at the child in my arms who was singing softly, I could not understand what he was saying because it seemed to catch his breath, but I knew he inherited it from his father.
"Be careful, aunt," he said softly then gripped the end of my dress tightly.
When we got to the other side, he just let go of me and then ran to his father with his back turned as if he was talking on the phone. I even smiled when he hugged his father.
"Are you in trouble again?" Uncle Zack's opening question I asked.
"No. He knows how to knock," I said with a smile and they laughed. "Just too many questions," I added.
"If we're with you, train yourself in Vernon's presence, I have a strong feeling that it's worse for the offspring sleeping there to ask," mama pointed at my womb.
"Noted, Ma," I smiled and then took a snack.
Gradually, my estrangement from Zeke's parents diminished, when I used to call them aunt and uncle, but now, I am mama and papa. Feels good. But it would have been better if my parents were here.
Look at me Ma, Pa. You have already a grandchild. You just can't touch it, but I know you're always there, watching us.
I remained silent at the meal while others talked about the other children they were selling to whomever. Forms theories of who will next admit or who will next have a grandchild. I decided to go upstairs and just devote my whole time there, with so much to think about that I couldn't move my fingers to write. Every time like this I relax myself andavoiding to think of what.
The next day I just woke up because of the sunlight, although drowsy I forced myself to get up from my bed, first the suitcases and the big bags at the end of the bed opened up to me. I lost my drowsiness and quickly stared at the familiar backyard that had just folded the towel and turned away from me. He rubbed his wet hair then turned to face me, we were both stunned but he was the first to approach me.
"Good morning my wife," he kissed my forehead tenderly then his cold skin stuck.
I remained dumbfounded and I didn't know what to say because the person in front of me was real. I couldn't believe he was here, smiling at my stomach and amazed at the slight bulge in my stomach.
"W-What are you doing here?" I asked him why he hugged me.
"Am I not allowed to take my wife home? The boss has sent me home, I'm supposed to take care of my wife," he winked and then stroked my hair. "Let's go home. I just came last night, you're already asleep. You're just pregnant, you always sleep early?" its teasing that I stared at then pushed him.
"You didn't even wake me up last night to take care of you. Is there any pain in your body?" I asked as I got out of bed and arranged myself.
I just wore the night dress that Aunt Ezra gave me, I need to train myself so that when my stomach grows I won't have any more difficulties.
"I'll lose all the pain once I see my son, so hurry up and grow up, so that papa can lift you," he said with a bow, kissing my womb a little.
"Hmm, I'll fix myself then we'll go downstairs."
"All right, I love you. Be careful in the bathroom," he said laughing as I just asked.
I bothered myself with the repairs because it looked like all my belongings were ready, I didn't know that he had already packed my belongings, I just didn't know what kind of belongings he was carrying. When I came out of Cr, Zeke was no longer in the room, everything was fine and I had almost nothing to clean.
What kind of body does he have that makes him not feel tired? When I came out of the room, my uncle first appeared to me, who looked like he was leaving because he was dressed. His smile widened then he kissed me.
"Good morning my two babies."
"Good morning, grandpa," I teased as he laughed then we continued walking.
"Are you going to leave me? You're going to live in your husband's house," he said softly as I nodded.
"Lol, you can visit me anytime. I'll also tell Zeke that I'll stay here every weekend or whenever she doesn't come home," I calmed down and he smiled.
I need to face the reality. uncle wasn't there all the time, good thing I trained myself not to see him often. I can't control my uncle's life. Who knows?
When we got downstairs the breakfast was loud, apart from Vernon crying because his mother had left, he was accompanied by a small toddler who Martin immediately comforted his son. The speed of time, all of a sudden a child is brought to the mansion. Well, I still can't believe they're going to end up with Martin. Lol, same itchy.
After breakfast I went straight to the hacienda to freshen up, watching kor just how Vernon talks to his grandmother Aunt Cecil who is busy watering the plants. I want to experience something like that, I will include my eldest in everything I do.
But here it is again, I get nervous again every time I think of Zeke, every time I sympathize with her in my plan, it seems like something is wrong. I have always felt this kind of fear. I have given up my trust but there is one missing that is contrary to my thinking.
"There you are again, what the hell are you thinking," whispered a familiar voice that hugged from behind me.
The faster he can read what I'm really feeling, I hope he also knows that I'm scared every time I don't see him anymore. Whenever he was somewhere else.
"Don't leave me," I whispered then leaned my back against his chest.
"That won't happen. Zeke is just here."
