Chapter twelve

Chris's pov
I waited for two hours before elder Ava came here to join me. "Chris, how did it happen? Where is the Lucas ? Is he okay?" She asked worriedly. " Yes, he is fine. He is at home now",I replied and she sighed. Her duty is to protect the future Alpha, if anything had happened to Lucas. Alpha Jasper willl have her head and mine. "Carry it boys", she ordered two hefty men to carry the wolf's dead body.

"You have to come with me to the pack now", she said and I nodded. The wolf was placed in the boot , elder Ava and I sat at the backseat of the car while the one of the guys drove the truck. "We need to take that wolf to Alpha Jasper. We have to know where it is from",she said. " You are right, Elder",I agreed with her. My phone made a sound which indicates that I have a message.

It was from Eva, I smiled just seeing her name makes me happy.
My woman: Hi Chris, are you good? It's been two hours and you are not yet back. I'm worried.
Me: I have to go attend to some things concerning the pack. I will see you soon, I promise.

"Who are you texting?" Elder raised a curious brow. "My mate",I replied with a smile. "What? You found your mate? Why didn't you tell me?" She hit my arm softly with a smile on her face. " I didn't tell you because she was with someone. She had a boyfriend but they broke up today. He hit her",I informed her. " I'm so sorry about that but now you can have her since she is single", she winked.

" I hope so, her ex boyfriend is a werewolf. The guy was my friend but I had no idea that he was because he behaves like a human with no traces of being a werewolf",I explained. " What's his name?" She asked. " Noah Parker",I replied and Elder Ava gasped in shock. What's going on? "Do you know him?", I asked her. "Yes I do. Noah is Alpha's jax little brother", she said. Wait what? "How? How are they even related?" I raised a brow, this news is a shock to me.

" Noah's father who was the former Alpha of greenwood pack mated with a girl from our pack. She got pregnant and gave birth to Noah but she was killed in their pack. That's one of the reason why greenwood pack and our pack are enemies",she explained.

"What if he was sent by Jax to come spy on us? What if he knew I am the future beta of our pack and Lucas is future Alpha. What if he dated Eva because he want to take her away from me?" I asked no one in particular. " This people are up to a lot of things we don't know. We have to find out soon and watch our back else we will be attacked before we know it",Elder Ava replied.

I was beyond disturbed. I felt the fresh air when we got into our pack. We went straight to the pack's house. I was surprised when the guys opened the boot and they came to tell us that the wolf has turned human. "Noah? Oh my goodness, Noah!?" I yelled in surprise when I saw Noah . He is the werewolf, he attacked Emma. He was ready to kill Lucas and I. What? What is happening?

"Tell your people to let me go, Chris",he spat. "You are not going anywhere, boy. We will take care of you", Elder Ava grinned. I walked into the pack house and went straight to the Alpha's office. "Alpha",I said with a bow as a sign of respect. "Chris, my boy, how are you doing?" he replied with a huge smile on his face. "I'm fine, we have someone for you. There's someone you need to see", I said.

" Okay",he shrugged and sat on his couch. The guys pushed Noah inside the office. His hands and legs were chained, he really deserves it. "Is this Noah Parker?", Alpha Jasper asked. "Yes Alpha. He almost killed your son today",Elder Ava replied. Alpha's eyes widened in both shock and anger. "And why is that Noah?" he asked Noah in a calm voice. Noah didn't answer, Alpha stood up and walked closer to him.

"Talk this minute or else I will have your head ",he threatened. Noah shook in fear, Alpha grabbed him by his neck and he almost squeezed life out of Noah. "I wi...ll ta.. lk",he managed to say, Alpha released him from his grip. " Talk and don't waste my time",he ordered. " It was not in my intention to hurt Lucas in anyway but he got into my way. I was after Emma that's all",he said. Emma? Why Emma?

" Who is Emma?" Alpha asked. "Emma is a girl in my school",I replied . "What's so special about Emma? Why are you after her?", Elder Ava asked. " My brother Alpha Jax made me do it. He gave me something so with the thing I will know anyone that is special and Emma is. Anyone that mates with her will become powerful and unstoppable that's why I was after her",Noah explained.

I was marvelled, Emma is a special being. "Who wants to mate with her? You or your brother or your brother's son?" Alpha asked. " I don't know. All he told me was that I should bring anyone I see",he replied. " Take him away to the inner dugeon and suppress his wolf permanently", Alpha ordered the guards. This is so much information to take in.

"Chris, how is this girl connected to Lucas. What really happened tonight?" Alpha asked me. " We went to my mate's house to pack some of her clothes so that she can stay with me. All of a sudden, Lucas said he wants to take a stroll. I told him no that it's not safe out there but he refused and went ahead. I think his instincts led him to where Emma was",I explained. " Are they friends?" Elder Ava asked.

" No, they are not. They hate each other so much that they can't even stay in the same room without insulting each other",I replied." What if? ", Alpha said to no one in particular. " What if what Alpha?" I asked. "What if this Emma girl is Lucas's mate?" he said.
