Chapter nineteen

Lucas's pov

"What the fuck!" Astrid yelled at me angrily. I held the necklace, Emma stared at me confusingly. "Give me back that necklace", Astrid demanded angrily. "I won't give you the necklace",I spat at him. "Lucas what's going on?" Emma asked. " You can't understand",I replied her. Before I knew it, Astrid gave me a hard punch on my face. "Stop it!"Emma yelled at him. The whole class attention was turned to us. "Give me that necklace now!" Astrid yelled, his face burning with anger. His eye balls turned black, I knew he was fighting his wolf that wants to take over.

I ran out of the class with the necklace in my hand. Astrid ran after, he was strong but I tried all my best to run faster. I went to the school fountain and threw the necklace there. "Lucas,why did you do that? Are you out of your fucking mind?"he yelled at me. " I know your plan and it won't work",i said. He frowned in confusion for a while. " Oh, you know she is your mate right? That's why you are protecting her", he raised a curious brow. My what?

" My what? Mate? What the hell are you talking about?" i said. " You know what i don't need the necklace anymore. Your reaction has confirmed that Emma is your mate and guess what i will take her away from you, i promise you that",he said and walked away.

" My mate?" I muttered. What the hell is he saying? Take her away from me? How? Everything is overwhelming. "Lucas, what's wrong?" Chris asked he walked up to me. "Astrid said Emma is my mate and he wanted to give her a necklace to confirm it but the way I reacted confirmed that she is truly my mate",I explained. " Wow! That's good news", Chris chuckled and gave me a hug. I pushed him away from me and frowned.

"He said he will take her away from me",I said. " Take her away from you? I thought he is here to find his own mate so why is he after yours",he asked. " I have no idea, Chris. It's like I'm going crazy right now",I said.

" Wait, Astrid is Noah's cousin. What if they know about how special Emma is. Is that why he wants to take her away from you?"he said. " I think so, we have to call my dad",I muttered feeling so disturbed. The thought of Emma as my mate is driving me crazy and the thought of Astrid taking her away from me is another issue. "Boys!! What are you doing there?"the head teacher yelled.

We ran immediately to our various classes. I have anatomy, i entered the class and sat beside Emma. The professor was not in class yet. She had headphones on and she closed her eyes. She looks so peaceful and beautiful. She is my mate? No, I don't want to believe that but everything proves she is. The only confirmation I'm waiting for is from Elder Ava.

She opened her eyes and caught be starting before I could pull away. "Hi",she said. I was so nervous to talk to her, why is she even trying to be friends with me now? The Emma I know would have insulted me for staring at her. "Why are you nice to me all of a sudden?",I asked her. "I don't know maybe because you saved my life. If not for you I won't be here today",she shrugged.

" So are we friends now? ",I raised a curious brow." No, we are not friends yet but we are not enemies either",she smirked. I smiled and shook my head. I frowned when I saw Astrid staring at us. "Why were you fighting Astrid because of the necklace?" she asked me. " Because I don't want you to take anything from him. That guy is evil so please stay away from him",I warned. " Why? Who is he to you?" She raised a curious brow.

"I can't tell you who he is now but just stay away from him. He can hurt you and I won't be there everytime to save you",I replied and she sighed. I can't wait for this class to be over so that I can call elder Ava. I am curious to know if she is my mate or not. I want to confirm directly from Elder, she's the only one I trust.

What if she is my mate? How am I going to get her to date me? Will she even like me enough to date me? I was pulled out of my world of thoughts when the professor walked in. "Good morning class", Professor said. "Good morning sir",we all replied. "I hope you guys have started working on your projects?" He asked and some people mumbled yes while some said nothing.

"Gosh! We haven't started working on our project",Emma groaned. " We can start working on it today if you are not busy. We can go to my house after school to work on the project", i suggested. " Okay then", she replied. After the class, Chris and I went to the school field. The place was far away from the school and we hid behind a large tree. "She is coming over today",I said to Chris.

"She didn't fight you?" he asked me and I shook my head. " We didn't argue all day today. She just changed all of a sudden",I shrugged. " That's nice maybe she is feeling the mate bond as well",he grinned. "We are not even sure",I said and rolled my eyes. I dialed Elder Ava's number and she picked the call immediately. "Hello Elder",I said and put the phone on speaker. " Lucas",she said. I explained everything that happened between Astrid, Emma and I to her.

"Lucas, I think Astrid is right. There's high possibility that Emma is your mate",she said and I sighed. " What do I have to do now? How can I comfirm it? I need a confirmation",I muttered feeling frustrated. " You need to find a closure with her. Share an intimate moment with her, you will hear your wolf's voice in your head but that doesn't mean your wolf will be out. Your father doesn't want your wolf to be out because you can't control it",she explained.

" Hmm, intimate moment? Like sharing a kiss or sex? ",Chris asked and I blushed at the thought. "That's not even possible. How can I kiss her? I can't do that, she will think otherwise", I said with a groan." Sex is to extreme. Find a way to kiss her, Lucas and not just a kiss but a deep kiss. Share a deep kiss with her",Elder Ava said.

" What about Astrid? He promised to take her away from me",I added. "No he cannot take her away from you that's why you are there. Everything happening has been written, it is your destiny and hers. You will overcome every obstacles, just make sure you share an intimate moment with her. If she is truly your mate then we will know what to do",she said and ended the call. "Chris help me, how will I do this? How will I kiss her? She is not even my girlfriend, she will get mad at me",I complained feeling so nervous. " She's coming with us home today so calm down. You will go with the flow but you need to make sure you do it today",he said. I sighed .....
