Astrid's pov
I had to go back to the pack to explain everything that happened to my dad. Emma has been cold to me and I know it's because of Lucas. He has become so over protective and doesn't even give me a chance to talk to her. He threw the special necklace into the school fountain. His reaction confirmed that Emma is his mate. "Astrid, I hope you are here with the good news",my dad said when he saw me.

I bowed my head as a sign of respect and sat in front of him. "Emma is his mate",I replied and he grinned. " The necklace did it's work then. How bright was the pendant? ",He raised his brow curiously. I bit my lip feeling nervous because of the necklace. "Can't you talk?" my dad yelled.

"She didn't use the necklace but I assure you that Emma is his mate",I stuttered. "She didn't use the necklace? What do you mean?" he asked in a stern voice. " I gave her the necklace and she was about to use it. Lucas snatched the necklace from her and threw it in the school fountain",I said. "Astrid!! What the hell is wrong with you?! Why did you give her the necklace in front of him?" he yelled.

" I'm sorry, Alpha",I apologised with a bow. "How are you sure she is his mate? How are you so sure?" He asked me and I was surprised he didn't punish me for not carrying out his orders well. "His reaction said everything we need to know. I asked for her number but he didn't let her give me. He was so protective and he was monitoring her all day",I explained and he frowned.

" I'm disappointed. All what you are saying is just an assumption. I need prove",he said. " I will find another way to confirm. I promise",I said and he shook his head. " You will go back to the city and visit someone",he stated. " Who is that?" I asked. "Martha, she is a seer. She will tell you who Lucas's mate is",he replied and I nodded. " Where can I find her?",I asked.

" I heard she is in the hospital. I will give you the address and her ward number you must go there immediately",he ordered. He gave me the hospital address and touched my shoulder. "Don't mess things up this time. The future of this pack is in your hands",he said. " I will do my best",I assured him and left the pack house.

I drove back to the city, Kelly didn't come with me because I insisted that I wanted to come alone. I inserted the hospital address in the GPS and drove to the hospital. "Hello sir",the nurse at the receptionist said with a smile. " Hi, am here to see Martha. Ward 98",I said. " Who is she to you?" She asked. " She is my Aunt",I lied and she nodded.

" Go straight and turn to your left. You will see the ward",she said with a smile. I followed her direction and walked to the ward. I saw a young lady sleeping on the chair outside the ward. I walked into the room and I saw someone I didn't expect to see.

"Emma?"I said, I was not expecting to see her so I was shocked. She is the reason why I'm even here so why is she here with the woman I was asked to see. "What are you doing here?",Emma asked me with a frown on her face. I ignored her question and walked closer to the woman's bed. "Are you Martha?" I asked and she nodded. "What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?" Emma half yelled.

" Emma please leave now. I will see you later",Martha ordered. Who is Emma to Martha? " But.. ",Emma tried to protest but Martha stopped her. She left the room angrily and I raised a curious brow. "Future alpha",she said bowing her head as a sign of respect. She knows who I am.

"Who is Emma to you?" I asked her. "She is my daughter's friend",she replied almost immediately and I sensed she is hiding something. "Are you sure?",I asked and she nodded. "What is the nature of your sickness?" I asked her. "Cancer",she replied and I wondered if she is a werewolf or not. " Are you a werewolf?"I asked. "I'm human but a seer. My late husband was a werewolf",she replied.

" Oh, okay so I was sent here by my dad, Alpha Jax",I stated and she nodded. I have a feeling that she is uncomfortable and that she is hiding something. "What do you want?"she asked. "That girl that just left, your daughter's friend. Is she Lucas blackwood mate?",I asked.

She frowned and sighed. "I don't know the answer to that",she said. "you don't know? I thought you said you are a seer. The girl was with you just now, you know the truth",I yelled angrily. " I don't know who Lucas blackwood mate is",she said. "You are lying, you know something about this",I accused her and she frowned. "Stop yelling",she cautioned and I groaned feeling so angry.

"Talk now before I do something you will regret",I threatened and she shook in fear. " I don't know please leave",she said in a tired voice. I moved closer to her and grabbed her neck ready to choke her to death. I know I shouldn't have done it but I must get the truth out of her.

"Is Emma Lucas's mate?"I asked. Tears filled her eyes but she didn't say anything. I grabbed her neck tight, she tapped me arm to free herself. "Are you ready to talk?" I asked and she nodded. I released her and she gasped for air. " Is Emma Lucas's mate?"I asked again and she nodded. I smiled and walked out of her room. I quickened my pace as I walked out of the hospital to my car.

I called my dad's number and he picked up immediately. "She is his mate",I said with excitement and my dad screamed with so much joy. " Now all you have to do is get her close to you. Buy her gifts, do all sorts of nice things for her. Get between her and Lucas. Find a way for her to like you so that you can have sex with her and mark her as yours. When you do this, you will become powerful. Our pack with her as the future Luna will be unstoppable then we will go ahead and destroy blackwood pack",he said and did his evil laugh.

I can't wait to become powerful, all I have to do is to have sex with Emma and mark her as mine.
