Chapter Thirty one

Lucas's pov
I was listening to their conversation but I pretended as if I was sleeping. I was surprised when she kissed me again.

She has finally warmed up to me. The kiss made me want something more with her. It stirred something I have never felt before me in me.

Someone opened the door and they called her Aunt Maria. I opened my eyes to see the person and I was shocked because she is someone I know. I have seen her in our pack before, she came for meeting with my father.

I heard that she is the beta's mate from the another pack. She is Emma's aunt, does this mean they have a werewolf blood?

"Aunt Maria, what are you doing here" Emma asked and I heard a chuckle. I still pretended as if I was sleeping. "I came here to see you guys concerning your mother",she replied.

"Zoe, did you call her?" Joan asked. " No, I did not. She just showed up here",Zoe replied. I heard footsteps walking towards me and I became nervous.

"Who is this?"Their aunt asked. "He is Emma's boyfriend", Zoe replied and I almost laughed. I opened my eyes slowly and met with Aunt Maria's blue eyes.

"Lucas?"She asked with shock in her voice and I scratched my head. "Mom, you know him?"Zoe asked. "We just met somewhere, I bumped into him",she lied and I sighed in relief.

Emma stared at me with a frown and a confused look on her face. "I have to go now, Emma. I will see you later",I said to her and she gave me a smile.

I left her house and drove back home. "Welcome home",I was welcomed by Chris at the door. "Something happened there",I said and he raised a curious brow.

"Maria the woman from Blue pack is Emma's aunt",I said and Chris gasped in shock. "How? Are they were wolves?" He raised a curious brow and shrugged.

" I have no idea, the woman could recognize me and Emma told me Astrid went to visit her mom in the hospital",I muttered.

" I think they are kinda connected to the werewolf world but they don't know about it",he said and I sighed. " Everyday and new problem",I said.

" Should we call elder Ava?" I asked him and he shook his head. "There's no need, we will figure this out ourselves",I replied and he raised his hands up in surrender.


Next Day,

I was sitting alone in the library reading my anatomy textbook when I heard a clap. I raised my head and rolled my eyes when I saw Astrid.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him. "Can't I come here to see you?" He asked me back and I frowned. "We have no business together",I spat.

"Calm down, Alpha. Let's make a deal",he said and I rolled my eyes.

He sat in front of me and crossed his legs. "I don't make deals with the devil",I countered and he chuckled.

I felt the urge to rip his head out of his neck. His presence is annoying me right now.

"Please I beg of you, let's make a deal",he smirked and I groaned feeling frustrated.

"Astrid, please leave me alone like what part of leave me alone don't you understand",I yelled at him.

"Stop acting like a child. We are both future alpha's, let's talk like real men that we are instead of fighting all the time",he requested.

"What do you want?" I asked and he chuckled. "I want us to make a deal like I said earlier",he replied. "Deal about what?"I raised a curious brow.

He placed his phone on the table and moved closer. "About Emma, your mate",he said and I felt this weird feeling in me.

"Stay away from her, stop following her around. She is mine and mine alone",i warned him.

"Lucas, I am ready to stay away from her",he said as he raised his two hands. I frowned at his reaction. He is up to something.

"What do you want?" I asked and he smirked. "Just one night with her and I will leave this place. You will never see me again",he said.

My eyes widened in shock at his request. A night with her? This guy is insane.

"Is she a toy to you? You want a night with her? You are an idiot", I Said angrily. "Just let me have her for a night then I will leave you",he said.

I stood up and carried my bag ready to leave the library because my body was shaking already in anger.

"Think about it, Lucas",he said and I walked back to him. I was about to punch him but he held my hand.

"Don't start what you can't finish",he warned. I pushed him away with my leg and placed my feet on his chest.

"Emma is mine, she is my mate so back off else I will make you regret ever coming here",I said in a stern voice and walked out of the library.

I went to the cafe to get a cold drink to ease the tension. When I was ordering for it, someone placed their hands on my eyes.

"Emma?" I asked and she groaned now removing her hand. "How did you know it was me?" She pouted and I smiled at how cute she is.

"Your scent, I love your body wash",I smirked and she blushed. I grabbed my drink and we both sat at a table. "Thanks so how are you today?"She asked.

"I'm okay but I want to tell you something",I replied and she raised her brow curiously. "What is that?"She asked.

"Astrid, please stay away from him. If you see him, run and if he trys any funny business please call the police or call me",I replied.

"I know, I will stay away from him. I know he did something to my mother but I'm not so sure",she said worriedly.

"Your mom will be fine just stay away from him please",I pleaded and she nodded. " Thank you, Lucas",she said and I smiled.
