Thirty two

Astrid's pov
I groaned and laughed at the same time he left. I went to take my phone and turn off the sound recorder. I have a plan and It will destroy Emma's trust for Lucas.

"Hey Kelly, I got his voice",I said as I walked closer to Kelly. "Alright, that's good. Let's go meet the tech guy",he said.

"Josh, here is his voice and mine",I said and handed my phone over to the tech boy at the school field. "Okay, I will work on it now and send it before closing hours",he assured me and I smiled.

"Do you think this plan will work?" Kelly asked me and I nodded. "It will work, after I send the voice recording to them. I will plan something else",I replied.

" Okay, let's go to class",he smiled and we went to class. "Astrid! I have been looking for you",Zoe said.

"Do you need anything?"I asked and she nodded. I raised a curious brow at the way she was twisting her body. Is she trying to seduce me?

"I want to invite you to my house today, we didn't spend time together yesterday so I want us to be together today",she said and I smirked.

" Invitation accepted",I said and she squealed like a baby. " But you are not allowed to leave me alone",I warned and she nodded.

The class dragged by and the class was boring. I stared at Emma, she is really beautiful and I like her. Apart from this mate issue, she's the kinda girl I like.

She has everything, a beautiful face, beautiful body and a nice personality. I know she is warming up to Lucas already but she will hate him soon.

After the class, I got the voice recording from josh. It was really nice and I love it though I haven't sent it out yet.

"Let's go out of the school and come back later. We don't have classes anymore",Kelly suggested and I agreed.


"Let's go",I grabbed my keys and we both walked to my car. The moment I turned on the engine and it purred made me so excited.

"Where are we going to?" I asked him and he didn't reply for a while. " I have an idea",he suddenly said and I raised a curious brow.

"What's that?" I asked. "I saw this fashion store online and I want us to go try it out. We need to get new clothes",he replied.

"Kelly, we are not girls. We don't need new clothes",I countered and he gave me his puppy eyes which made me roll my eyes.

"Okay, we will go to the fashion store. Give me the address",I said and he was happy. I had no idea that Kelly is such a big Baby.

He gave me the address and I drove to the location. We both alighted from the car and walked into the building. I was uneasy, my wolf was running round my head.

"Lin, calm down",I said in my head. "I try to but I'm restless. I feel something coming", Lin said and I groaned.

" Welcome gentlemen, my name is Joan. Welcome to our fashion store, what will you like to have here?"A lady introduced her self.

The moment I set my eyes on her. I felt a connection towards her and I was lost in her eyes. She was lost in mine too, who is she?

"Mate Mate Mate!" Lin yelled in my head and I was shocked. " It's not possible, our mate died years ago",I argued with Lin.

" She's our second chance mate",Lin replied. Second chance mate? Oh no! I don't even know how to feel.

"Hello", the lady said waving her hands and I snapped out of my world if thoughts. I couldn't see Kelly beside me anymore.

"Are you okay?"She asked worriedly and I nodded. I stared at her eyes and she looked familiar in some kind of way.

"My name is Astrid",I introduced myself to her and she gave me a smile. My heart flustered at the sight of her smile.

"My name is Joan",she introduced herself as well and brought out her hand for me to shake which I did. The moment my hand touched hers, I felt Sparks I have never felt before.

My first mate died when I was ten years old so I didn't know how it felt to have a mate. "Should I take you on a tour? Maybe you will see what you like?" She asked.

" Don't bother, I will come back her next time",I assured her and she smiled. She walked away back to her desk and I also walked out of the building.

"Fuck",I cursed as I entered my car. What am I going to do with her? And Emma is there, what about the whole plan.

"Dude, why did you leave the store?" Kelly asked me as he joined me in the car. " The lady at the fashion store",I replied.

"What about her? You are making me scared",he said with worry. "She is my mate",I said and he gasped. "How? How is she your mate?"He asked.

"I don't understand. The moment I set my eyes on her, Lin screamed mate and said she is my second chance mate",I explained. "Damn! What about Emma and the plans we had",he asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know. Do you know that my dad can send someone to harm my mate because of the plans?" I asked him.

" I know that. Your dad is not a man to be toyed with but your mate is also important",he said and I sighed. Everything is just a lot to take in.

"I don't know what to do. It's like my hands are tied. I can't tell Dad about my new found mate",I groaned. "You have to stick to the plan. The deal is to have sex with Emma and mark her as yours",he advised.

"Then when I do, I can kill her and be with my true mate",I added and Kelly sighed. Joan my mate, I'm coming for you. I felt connected to her and I know she felt something as well.

I drove back to school and went the the class. Emma, Lucas were there with Chris and Eva. Perfect time to send the recording. I hit send and watched their phones beep.

Only Emma checked her phone and there was an earpod in her left ear. I watched her frown and I knew she was listening to the recording. The moment she gasped in shock, I smiled.
