Lucas's pov
"Ewww, No PDA please",I said to Eva. "What's going on? Did you just kiss me?" Chris asked surprisingly. " Why didn't you tell me,dummy. I have been waiting for you to tell me how you feel all this while",Eva grumbled to Chris. " Tell you what?" he raised a curious brow. "Dude! I told her she is your mate and she has liked you for a while but you didn't ask her",I said, his eyes widened in shock.

" You're just a baby inside this big body", Eva rolled her eyes, Chris dragged her back and gave her a hug. " Thank you for accepting me, baby. I will treat you right, I promise",he whispered and showered her with kisses all over her face. She giggled, I left them alone in the sitting room.

"Damn...",I muttered to myself. I really wish I have found my mate. I want to hold her and kiss her. I want to experience love with my soulmate but unfortunately I don't know how. I haven't even found any girl I'm attracted to here. It's been four days and there's no one. I groaned and closed my eyes, it would have been better if my wolf is awake. "Lucas, we need to talk",I heard Chris's voice behind me. " What's up?" I said to him, my voice dull and shaky.

" Man, I'm sorry. I know you are not happy about your mate thing but I assure you,we will find her. Eva and I will not display any PDA. Anything to make you happy",he assured me. " It's okay. What happened in the pack? Who is the wolf that attacked Emma?" I asked. " The wolf is Noah",he replied. "What?! Noah attacked Emma, why?" Eva said as she joined our conversation.

" You need to talk gently. Emma is in the room, she might be awake",I cautioned her and she nodded. " Why was Emma attacked by Noah. This girl doesn't even talk to him? Why is he after her?" I asked. " Noah is alpha's Jax brother. So he gave him something for him to recognize anyone special in our school. It turns out that Emma is a special being. Anyone that mates with her will become powerful and unstoppable",he explained.

All this information is a lot to take in. Like what? A special being? "What kind of a being is she?" I thought but I didn't realize I said it out loud. " I have no idea but I think she is very special. If you had not showed up in the scene. Emma will be wanted by now, noah would have taken her to his pack", Chris said as he shook his head. " Even though we are enemies, I'm happy I saved her life and thanks to you man",I gave Chris a smile.

" Your father thinks Emma is your mate",he said with more seriousness in his voice. " What?!",I yelled." I agree with his dad",Eva said and I gave her a glare. " Why did he say such thing? This girl and I can't even stand each other. When she woke up, did you know what she did? She gave me a slap on my face and even accused me of raping her",I said angrily.

" Lucas you have to calm down. It was just an assumption. Your dad just thinks you guys are connected somehow but we are not so sure", Chris said. " I suggest you stop fighting her. You guys can get to know one another. From there we will know what to do",Eva advised. " No! I don't want to be friends with her okay? I don't like her, she can't be my mate so let's forget about that", I disagreed.

" You are too stubborn, Lucas. You need to do this, she is the closest person and there's high chance that this girl is your mate. Your instincts directed you to the scene where she was hurt. It's starting to make sense",Chris said.

" Shut up okay? Leave her out of my business", I warned. They both held their hands in surrender. " Food is ready",Eva said to me. "I'm not hungry", I replied and walked to my room angrily. I forgot she was in the room until I entered and saw her staring at me. "What?" I snapped. "What's what?", She asked me innocently, in a low voice. "I want you out of my life. Starting from tomorrow, don't talk to me, don't look at me and don't come close to me okay?" I said to her.

She looked at me confusingly with her eyebrows raised. " Okay",she replied after some minutes. "When is your sister coming?" I asked. "In an hour time",she replied. "Good",I said. Her eyes were glossy and teary, I looked away from her and left her alone in the room.

I went outside the house and sat on a chair. The streets were empty and everywhere was quiet because it was really late. Many thoughts ran through my head. How can Emma be my mate? The moon goddess couldn't be so cruel to me. I don't just like her, we started on a rough start. If she's truly my mate we should be friends from each other from the start. I groaned because everything is driving me crazy.

"Hi? Are you Lucas?" a young woman asked me as she alighted from a car. I instantly knew she was Emma's sister because they have similar features. "Yes, I am", I replied. "Oh thank you so much. I owe you a lot, thank you for saving my sister's life",she said giving me a smile.

" It's alright, let's go in",I let her into my house." Hey Lucas, who is she?" Chris asked me. " My name is Joan, I'm Emma's sister",she introduced herself with a smile. " Nice to meet you, Joan",Eva said with a smile. " Thank you",Joan returned the smile. Chris simply waved at her. " Oh my goodness! My baby",Joan ran towards Emma the moment we entered my room. "Hi sis", Emma said to her sister.

"My baby, who did this to you?" Joan asked her voice shaky. "It was an animal, a big dog. It scared me and I passed out of shock because of my sick..", Emma explained but paused. Sick? Sick what? Is she sick? Is she battling with a sickness?

"I'm glad you are okay. I would have blamed myself if anything had happened to you. I'm so sorry, I love you so much",Joan said and kissed Emma's forehead. Emma closed her eyes feeling her sister's affection. I felt moved by the sight, I have seen Emma in different emotions tonight. There's a lot about this girl. "Let's go home please",Emma pouted. "Yes, you have to go",I said, she rolled her eyes and gave me a frown. See, this is what I was talking about. She is ungrateful and arrogant.

"Can you walk?" Joan asked her and she shook her head. " My legs and all my joints are weak. I can't move them",she whispered. Joan looked at me and I held my hands in surrender. " Lucas please we need your help",she said to me. "Nope, I'm not doing anything for your sister anymore tonight. She is ungrateful",I shook my head. " Please help me carry her to the car. Please I beg of you",Joan said. I looked at Emma, she didn't look at me. "I will only do this because of you but Emma has to say please", I smirked .

" Yes, she can do that. Emma say please and let him help you to the car",Joan ordered her. Emma groaned and muttered something under her breath. I waited impatiently and crossed my arms over my chest. "Emma!",Joan yelled softly. Emma rolled her eyes and frowned. "Please help me to the car",Emma said reluctantly. " Say it again in a polite way",I ordered. " You are such an asshole",Emma half yelled.

" See, your sister is nothing but an arrogant bitch. Go to the car by yourself",I scrowled. " Lucas please, do this for me. You know how Emma is", Joan pleaded. " I will do this for you, you are a nice person unlike someone I know",I finally succumbed. I lifted her by grabbing her waist, I carried her in a bridal style. She is light weight so it made everything easier. "Thank you Lucas",Joan said as we both walked to the sitting room with Emma in my arms. "You guys will be a perfect couple",Eva said loudly and Emma gasped in my arms.
