Chapter thirty

Emma's pov
The moment Astrid entered the house, my heart skipped a beat. My phone fell from my hand and I was shaking. The guy is creepy, everything about him is so creepy and dangerous.

He didn't even come close to me. I was yelling at him about why he was here when Lucas walked in. I was relieved to see Lucas. He is always available to save me from Astrid.

When he chased Astrid away. I kissed him, I don't know why I did it but I kissed him. I felt like this kiss was the only thing that could calm down at the moment and it did.

The moment my lips touched his, I felt a sense of relief and shivers down my spine. The freshness of his breath filled my senses. He wanted it as much as I did. He pulled me closer and squeezed my ass which made me moan into his mouth. He used the opportunity to slip his tongue inside and my mind went blank.

The pleasure went straight between my legs and I wanted more. I crave for more, I was lost until he pulled away. We catched our breaths slowly and he stared at me without breaking eye contact. My cheeks were red, I was blushing really hard.

"Are you okay?"he asked and I nodded. "Are you sure that he did not touch you?"he asked again and I nodded. There's something about this guy ever since the day he saved me that night. Many things changed between us.

"So why did you kiss me?"he raised a curious brow and I sighed. "I don't really know, I just felt like it",I replied. " Emma",he muttered and I looked at him. " You know you can kiss me anytime you feel the need too. I'm always available",he said and I chuckled.

" Pervert",I teased and he laughed. "You are the pervert here, Emma. You kissed me first",he said. " But you didn't complain. You clearly wanted it as well",I muttered and he smirked. " Whatever now let's be serious here",he said and crossed his arms on his chest.

" About Astrid that guy is more dangerous than I imagined",I said with a sigh. " What do you mean? And how did he even know you live here?"he asked me and I shrugged.

"I have no idea, i just came back from the hospital few minutes ago and he just showed up here", i replied and lucas frowned. " Maybe he followed you", lucas said. " Why does he have to follow me? What does he want from me? What does he want from my family?"i asked.

" Calm down, emma. How is your mom?"he asked. " She is in coma, lucas. That bastard put her in that condition",i yelled and lucas gasped in shock. " Your mom is in coma? How did that happen? Did astrid attack her in the hospital?"he asked with worry in his voice.

" He did it, lucas. The doctor said my mom was gasping for air and there was a large hand print on her neck as if someone was choking her aftet he left. He lied to the nurse that he is her nephew. I should have reported to the police but i have no evidence",i explained.

" I'm so sorry, emma. I hops your mom will be fine soon",he consoled me with a hug. " I don't even feel safe anymore. He is everywhere and i don't know what he wants from me",i groaned.

" Listen, you are safe okay? I will always be there to save you anytime you are in trouble",he assured me. " But how will you know? How do you always know when to come anytime am in need of help?"i asked. He placed a kiss on my forehead and pulled away from me gently.

That single action made me feel loved and safe like i have never been all my life. He is not a bad person like i thought he was. "I will always know, emma and i will always be there for you",he assured me and i smiled. " Thank you",i said.

He didn't say anything that was when i flashed back to what my mom said. She said i should not leave lucas and we are destined to journey this life together. I really have a lot of questions for her but it's rather unfortunate that she is in coma now.

"Are you okay now?"he asked and i shook my head. " What do you want? Pizza? Chocolate?"he asked. " No, i want cuddles. I want you to cuddle me", i pouted giving him my cute puppy eyes. He shook his head and chuckled.

"Why are you acting like a kid now?"he teased and sat beside me. I just smiled and hugged him. He wrapped his arms round me and i sighed feeling content. I love the way his body heat up against mine. I closed my eyes to enjoy the moment and i slept up during the process.

"Awwn, they are so adorable",i heard a familiar voice alongside with a click of a camera. I opened my eyes slowly and met with joan's. "Hi",joan whispered with a smile on her face. I looked at lucas and he was asleep.

His hair falled on his face and covered his eyes. His pink full lips still swollen a little from the makeout session we had earlier. He is so cute. What? Did i just think about that? Well i kissed him twice already.

I pulled joan to the kitchen to avoid waking lucas. "Did the hospital call you?" I asked her. "I have been busy since yesterday so my phone has been on silent", she replied. " Well, i went to the hospital and the doctor said mom is in coma",i stated.

" Coma?! How? When? Oh my goodness, how did this happen?" Joan asked with worry. I didn't tell her about astrid because i didn't want to scare her. "Her blood pressure went high so she slipped into coma",i replied and she sighed.

"What do we do now?" Joan muttered in a shaky voice. " I think we should calm down and have faith that she will be okay",i suggested. " Yeah and i think we should call zoe's mom",she added and i agreed.

" Let me get my phone",joan said and searched her bag for her phone. As she was doing that, the door opened and zoe's mom walked in. "Aunt Maria?" Joan and i said in sync.
