Chapter Thirty five

Lucas's pov
"Are you okay now?" I asked Emma and she nodded. "I'm good, am going home now",she replied and I smiled.

"Let me take you home",I said. I carried her bag and we both walked to my car.

"Astrid really likes you, that's why he is doing everything in his power to destroy what we have",I said to her and she chuckled.

"I don't like him. He is always stalking, I don't even know what he wants from me",she sighed.

I didn't say anything, my head was just filled with worry. Astrid is really stepping up is game and I have to do the same else I will lose Emma to him.

I parked in front of her house and when we alighted from the car, I started hearing moans coming from the house.

"What's that?" I asked Emma and she shrugged even though she was shocked as well.

We walked to the door and my eyes widened when I heard a female voice moan Astrid's name. What the fuck is going on here?

"Astrid is in there",she whispered to me and I nodded. Emma opened the door and yelled at the scene right in front of us.

"What's going on here?!" She yelled. Her sister was on the couch naked and Astrid in between her legs.

I rushed out of the house to avoid seeing her sister's nakedness. My heart hammered against my chest. Why is Astrid having sex with Emma's sister?

"Astrid, what are you doing with my sister?" Emma yelled loudly and I could feel heat radiation of her.

"Emma, please I can explain",Joan stuttered. "Lucas please come in",Emma said and I entered the house.

Joan was covered now and Astrid stood beside her awkwardly. "Why did I just walk in on you having sex with my sister? Don't you know she is my sister?"Emma demanded.

"It's not his fault, Emma. I allowed him too",Joan muttered. I gave Astrid a deep glare. He is going too far by messing with Emma's family.

"This guy is five years younger than you. How can you let him touch you? You don't even know his plans for you, you don't know where he is from",Emma said angrily.

"I have no bad intentions towards your sister",he defended himself and I almost lost it. Emma walked towards him and gave him a slap on his face.

"Emma",Joan gasped softly and Emma rolled her eyes.

"This guy has been stalking me around. He visited our mom in the hospital. He has bad intentions, he is here because he wants to hurt me",she yelled.

"Astrid, is this true?"Joan asked feeling heartbroken. "Joan, I can explain", Astrid replied.

"He has nothing to explain, Joan. This same guy has been following your sister around claiming he loves her and want to be with her",I said.

"I cannot believe this",Joan muttered sadly as she sat on the couch.

"Don't listen to them, Joan. I feel connected to you please. Ever since the moment I laid my eyes on you, I feel connected to you", Astrid said to her.

"You are nothing but a liar now get out", Emma yelled at him. "Let's settle this issue first. I don't want Joan to be angry at me",he said.

"Lucas! Get him out of my sight!" She yelled and I pulled Astrid.

He struggled with me but I managed to pull him out of the house.

"Astrid, what's your deal with Joan? You can't want two sisters at a time, what the fuck is your problem?" I said to him and he sighed.

"Joan is my mate",he whispered and I gasped in shock. "Your mate? How?" I asked him. This is the first time we will be having a conversation without fighting.

"I saw her in a fashion house and my wolf screamed mate",he explained.

"This is insane, I don't know what to say. The fact that my mate and your mate are sisters is overwhelming",I said.

"And the fact that you are also trying to take what's mine from me is another thing",I smirked.

"We can talk things out, I can't afford to lose my mate",he said and I crossed my arms on my chest.

"That's none of my business. You threatened to take Emma away from me so you will suffer and maybe you will know how it feels",I said and left him standing alone.

When I walked back into the house, Joan was crying and Emma was consoling her. I felt bad for her but there's nothing I can do about it.

"I'm sorry, Joan",I said and she nodded sniffing. "Emma please I have to go. I will call you later",I said and she nodded.

"I will see you tomorrow, take care",she waved me bye and I left the house.

As I arrived at my house, I met Chris at the door. "Where have you been?" He raised a curious brow.

"Joan is Astrid's mate",I dropped the bombshell and he gasped.

"How did that happen? How did you find out? What the fuck is the moon goddess plannings?" He asked me at a time and I sighed.

"Emma and I caught them having sex",I said and his eyes widened. "What the actual fuck? That's too early, when did they meet?" He asked.

"They met today",I replied and he giggled. "Astrid and I had a conversation. He was scared when we talked. He doesn't want to lose her",I added.

"Now, he knows how it feels. He should suffer a little",Chris chuckled and I grinned.

As we were about to walk inside the house, elder Ava just appeared from no where and the look on her face screams problem.

"What's going on?" I asked her and she sighed.

"Where is your mate?" She asked me instead and I frowned. "She is in her house",I replied.

"You need to mate with her as soon as possible",she said and I shook my head. "That is not possible, elder. She is just getting comfortable with Lucas",Chris said.

"You need to hurry, Lucas else bad things will happen",she said in a serious tone. Her eyes dull and not full of light like it used to. The aura around her seems off.

"There's something wrong in the pack house. Tell me already",I urged her as I waited impatiently. My heart racing and I knew something bad has happened.

"Your dad is dying, Lucas",she dropped the bombshell.
