Chapter twenty five

Emma's pov
"You guys kissed?" Astrid asked with his eyes wide open and I blushed deeply still holding the bouquet of roses he gave me in my hands. "Yes and we both enjoyed it so I suggest you stop bothering her",Lucas said with a smirk on his face. So he really did enjoy the kiss. Is he jealous? Is that what all their fights is all about? "Get the class in order!" Professor Wells yelled immediately he entered the class. His class was fun as usual, I love education so I focus a lot on my studies.

Lucas stepped on the roses on the floor and I frowned. "Why did you do that?" I asked him with a frown on my face. "Because you don't need it",he whispered.

" Who told you that I don't need it? You have no right to destroy it",I said and he sighed. " I will buy you another one. Are you happy now?" he said and I shrugged. "Okay and that will be the end of today's class. Don't forget to work on your assignments and read your books. Your test is coming up soon", Professor Wells said and walked out of the class. I carried my bag and was about to walk out of the class when Lucas stopped me.

"Where are you going to?" he asked and I rolled my eyes. "Why? Why are you asking me questions all of a sudden?" I raised a curious brow and he scratched his head with a nervous look on his face. "I want us to be friends",he said and I chuckled. "Hey! What's funny?",he whined.

"We are not enemies anymore, are we?" I asked and he shook his head. " Good",I said and walked out of the classroom ready to go to the private room in the library for me to relax. I feel weak today and it's one of the things I experience as a fibromyalgia patient. On my way to the library, I was stopped by Astrid. This dude is stressing me out, why can't he let me be? "Are you dating Lucas now?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

"We are not dating and even though we are. It's none of your concern",I snapped at him. " Why are you so rude?" he asked in an angry voice. " Because you are stressing me out. Just leave me alone and stay on your own",I said and he frowned.

" Emma, I really like you. I want you to be my friend, I'm trying so hard to be friends with you but you keep chasing me away",he said with a groan and I sighed. " Let's talk about this later. I don't have the strength for this",I said. "No, we have to talk about it now. What have I done to you? Is it because of Lucas? Did he say anything to you? Trust me, he is only trying to manipulate you to like him. He is evil", Astrid ranted and my head was banging by the time he finished.

My vision became blurr and my head ached so bad. "Emma, are you even listening?",he asked as he moved closer to me. I didn't say anything, I took a step backward. "Emma",he said and moved closer to me again.

"Shut up and get the hell away from me!" I yelled. "I didn't do anything. Why are you acting like a child?" Astrid yelled back at me and I groaned. The more he talks, the more my head ached. "Hey! What's going on here?" a familiar voice asked and I sighed. It was Lucas,I leaned close to him when I felt his presence near me. "Tell him to leave now",I whispered to Lucas and held him for support.

"She said you should leave so do so",he said to Astrid. " You won't get away with this", Astrid said and walked away. What does he mean by that? Is that supposed to be a threat?

"Emma, are you okay? Did he touch you?" Lucas asked me and I shook my head. I was about to faint and I could feel it. "Take me to the library now and asked for the private room from the librarian",I ordered him. " Can't you walk?" He asked and I shook my head. " My vision is blurry, I can't really see",I managed to say. He lifted me up and carried me in a bridal style to the library.

"Hi, we need the keys to the private room",Lucas said to Anne. " Okay, is she okay?" Anne asked with worry in her voice. "Tired but not dead Anne",I managed to say and she chuckled. " Here is the key and take care of yourself, Emma",she said.

When we entered the private room, Lucas placed me gently on the bed and I groaned in pain. I need to use my medications and relax. The conversation of Astrid and I really stressed the hell out of me. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Lucas asked worriedly. "I don't feel too good",I muttered and he sighed. "I hope you are not pregnant because you look pale and all",he said and I gasped. I threw a pillow on his face and he shook his head.

"how dare you say such thing?" I asked feeling angry. " I just want to know",he replied and held his hands in surrender. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my drugs in my bag. I stepped the drug down with a bottle of water.

I sighed and closed my eyes to relax. "Wake up sleepy head",I heard Lucas's voice and I opened my eyes slowly. "How long did I sleep?",I asked and he rolled his eyes. " You slept for thirty minutes",he replied and I was relieved. I didn't oversleep. " Why are you still here? You should have left",I said. "I just wanted to look after you and ask you some questions",he replied and I was flustered.

So he cares about me. "How do you feel now?" he asked and sat beside me on the bed. I sat up properly and rested my head on his shoulder. I don't know why I just feel this urge to be close with him like a body contact.

"How do you feel now?",he asked. "I feel better now thanks",I replied. My drugs helped me relax and the little nap made it better. "So you are on medications? Are you by any chance treating or dealing with a sickness?" he asked and I sighed. " I'm sorry for asking, I know it's none of my business but I just want to know",he said again.

" I have fibromyalgia, it's a sickness that causes fatigue, exhaustion, depression, digestive problems and many more",I explained. " I'm so sorry",he said in a soft voice. " That's the reason why am always cold and distant to everyone. I don't want anyone to see my weakness and use it against me. Deep down inside me, I'm not a bad person",I said.

" I know you are not a bad person and I'm sorry for all the problems and fight we had. I promise to be here for you and I promise to support you in everyway I can",he said and I was flustered infact amazed. "Thank you so much, Lucas",I said more like a whisper and gave him a hug. He hugged me back and we were like that for sometime until he pulled away. "So are we friends now?",he asked. "Yes, you are officially my friend now",I replied with a smile on my face. " Finally, the queen bee of Mark's college is now my friend",he teased and we both laughed.
