Chapter Thirty three

Emma's pov
"What do you mean by that?"Eva pouted and we all laughed. "You are such a big baby",I said. "Because I love Chris. When you get there one day, you will know how it feels",she said.

I looked at Lucas who sat in front of me when she said that. He was looking at me also, I pulled away from his gaze.

We all heard a beep from our phone. Others ignored but I checked mine and it was a message from an unknown number on WhatsApp.

My earpod was in my left ear so I just played the voice message sent. It was Lucas's voice playing in the voice note.

"I don't like Emma, she's just a play thing to me. I just want to have sex with her, that's all",he said in the voice note and I frowned.

"I thought you guys were starting to like each other", another voice said to him and he sighed in the voice note.

" Like? It's all planned, I can never like her, I just want to have sex with her",he replied the person and the message ended.

What did I just listen to? He just want to have sex with me? I'm disappointed and hurt like how could he do this to me. I thought we were getting somewhere.

"Emma, are you okay?" He asked me as he touched my shoulder and I removed his hand. He frowned and I tried to keep my tears in my eyes.

"Is this your plan all along?" I asked him and he frowned in confusion. He is so good at pretending. To think, I was starting to like him. "What plan?" He asked.

"Don't you dare ask me what plan! Is this a way of trying to get back at me for the fights we had?"I yelled and he frowned. "Emma, what's going on?" Eva asked.

"Ask your friend because you see that sex that you want to have with me. You will never get it, you idiot",I said to Lucas. " Emma, what are you talking about? Sex?"Lucas asked.

"You said all you wanted from me is sex! I'm so disappointed",I yelled shaking my head. "When did he say that? This is a mixup",Chris said.

I ignored him and carried my bag, I was about to walk away when Lucas stopped me. "I do not understand this accusations, make it more clear",he requested.

I didn't answer and I tried to walk away from him but he held my hand tight with a frown on his face. I looked him in the eye and slapt him on his face. I could hear everyone gasp.

He released my hand and I ran out of the class. I broke down in the hallway and started crying. I was so angry, my body was shaking and my breath picked. I was now breathing heavily as I cried.

"Hey, are you okay?" I heard a familiar voice say but I didn't look up. My face was between my knees. "Emma, you have to calm down and take deep breaths",the person said calmly.

I took in deep breaths and counted one to ten repeatedly. I finally felt better and I looked up. "Astrid?" I muttered and he nodded.

"What's wrong?"He asked and I shook my head. "I saw what happened back there. Did he hurt you?"he asked again. " Nothing happened",I snapped.

" I'm just trying to help, you don't have to be like this",he said and I could hear anger in his voice. He tried to touch me and I pushed him away from me.

I went to the inner room where I do stay to calm my nerves. I sighed as I sat on the bed. How could he do this to me? I'm so hurt.

"Sex, all he wants from me his sex. I hate you Lucas",I muttered in a shaky voice. I laid down to rest a little bit and I fell asleep.

"Emma",I heard a voice. "Hey",the person said softly. I groaned and opened my eyes slowly. When I saw Lucas, I became angry again.

"Get out",I said and he frowned. "I won't get out and leave you alone till you tell me what you did earlier was all about",he said in a serious voice.

"Why are you acting like you care? Your secret is exposed. How could you? I thought we were friends. I was starting to like you and you did this to me. I hate you",I spat.

" Don't say that to me. I did nothing to you so start talking",he demanded. I brought out my phone since he is trying to prove that he is innocent.

I played the voice message and he gasped in shock. "I didn't say this",he said and I chuckled. "Even if you did, I know you will deny it so get out",I snapped.

"Emma please calm down. This is a set up, I can swear with everything in me they I never said this. There is a mix up somewhere",he said.

"How am I supposed to believe you? You hated me before and all of a sudden you became nice to me. It's suspicious",I countered.

" I swear, Emma. I'm not someone like that. I truly cherish this friendship of ours. I don't want to have sex with you now like I'm still a virgin",he muttered and I was surprised.

"I'm confused",I said with a sigh. "You don't have to be, Emma. You should trust me, I can't say such. Even though I want something with you, I will do it the proper way",he added. I looked into his eyes and something in me said he was saying the truth.

"I believe you and I'm sorry for hitting you. I was so angry and I lost control",I apologized and he smiled.

"It's fine, who sent that recording to you?" He asked and I showed him my phone. He brought out his and gasped.

" What's that?" I asked. "Apparently, this same person also sent the recording to us at the same time but I didn't check my phone since",he said.

" This is indeed a setup. Clearly the person who did this wanted us to fight",I told him and he agreed.

" There's only one person who can do this",he said. And I knew who he was talking about. " Astrid",we both said.
