Lobo POV


She wasn't in her parent's house, nor was she in any of the park's safe houses. It seemed impossible, like some bad dream, a nightmare that almost looked like reality.


We have had put fights, every now and then but she never ran away, was it because of estel?,


That bitch she sent to come and spy on me, if I had known that was all it took to get rid of her, maybe I would have lessened the torments, maybe it was too gruesome, but she deserve to die like that, no one ever spied on the alpha, no one at all!


“Lobo darling,” Meera said as she walked up to me, it was the first time she comfortably slept in the same room as me and Anisha, I could ready tell from her unending smile that she was excited, and I should be excited as well, but I wasn't, not at the very least.


I was restless and my wolf was clawing at me, he was at the brink of going rogue, and this time around I felt too vulnerable to help out.


“Meera, please stay on the bed, and put some clothes on, this is the Alpha chambers, someone can walk in without knocking” I said to her, but my words held no regards to her, rather she coiled her hands around my neck seductively, then places a kiss on my lips, then my cheeks.


“Don't be so hard on yourself, I know you don't care about her, she was only meant to give you an heir, which is now dead, so she is basically useless” that's what I thought till she left, now I can't seem to pinpoint anything.


“I see you, I see you ruling the park like a god, I see the goddess smiling down at you as you slay your enemies,” Meera said as she dug her pointy fingers into my flesh, her eyes clenched hard, as she prophesied.


“Lobo, I see you being unstoppable,” she continued.

She had the ability to see the future, so they said that she could tell what would happen years to come, but at that moment, when I stared at her, I felt my hopes deflate.


“Strong?” I muttered gently, she nodded in response, “yes Lobo, I see that you conquering the witches, they are terrified of you, they can sense your true power”


“Lie” my wolf snarled, as he clawed at the surface, “It's all a lie, the witches know you are using their power, they can take it from you in a heartbeat, she's lying” it said.


I staggered backward, but she held her firmly with her hands, her body falling on mine, I pushed her away immediately.


“Ouch!” she screamed as her head hit the wooden floor.

“Whats wrong with you, don't you know my body gets weak when I see visions, what if something sharp was on the floor,you would have caused a serious wound” she said, as she struggled to stand from the floor, obviously waiting for me to help her out, but I stared in disgust.


“Lobo!”


I rushed to help her out, I grabbed her hands then carried her to the bed.


Amelia would never lie, to gain sympathy from me, she would do anything because she wanted to not because she wanted to gain favoritism.


I shouldn't be thinking about her but I couldn't help it at all.


“Lobo, you are lost, please don’t tell me you are still thinking about that her, she’s a nobody” I kept her quiet then covered her with the duvet.


“Sleep, I need to go get some air”

“Let me come with you,” she insisted.


She was a predicament in my life already, “No” I snarled.


“Lobo…”

Cut short by an intrusion she fell back on the bed, and covered herself in a duvet.


“Alpha,” a guard walked into the room in a panic, “speak”



I could already sense the danger around the corner, but I didn’t send my wolves on any form of war, it was either they were attacked or worse of all something was happening in the park that needed my urgent attention.


“Information reached me that the guards protecting the iceberg borders are about to die, they were just brought back to the park, they are suffering from frostbite” he said.


My heart clenched in anger, if it were to be an outbreak of war I would have felt more useful but I can’t cure frostbite, which solely means I can’t help them at all.


“So there’s nothing we can do?” The man asked.


I was left mute, if Anisha was here, I wouldn’t even be bothered, the news would get to her before it got to me, she would have settled them, but the guards were aware that Luna was no longer present in the park, everybody knew she was no longer in the park.


“Nothing at all, I can’t think of anything”


“Kill them, like seriously are you daft” Meera voice berates the man in the room, taking the man by surprise, he has no idea she was under the duvet, she wasn’t even supposed to be in the room at the moment.


“My lady,” he bowed.


Meera stood from the bed, wrapping the sheets around her body,thereby exposing the fact that she was damn naked!


“What do you think you are doing?” I said in a mindlink, but she ignored me, her eyes were focused on the man, as she said the words.


“I would stand for my sister, and I believe you should do something smart, kill them and stop wasting the Alphas time, he has better things to do that listen to every complain that you have to offer”


“I am sorry my lady”


My insides were fuming already, I could not contain the anger anymore.


“Leave” I said to the man, which he did immediately, but Meera had the audacity to touch me.


“Don’t you dare!”
