The Rage of Distrust

Anisha POV

I felt entrapped by rage, my wolf had a mind of his own as I ran tirelessly into the park, tears dropping down the corner of my eyes, I would hurt them so bad they feel life isn’t meant for them anymore.

I was tired of giving two fucks about what they wanted from life and how I would be able to make them have it, that bastard sister of mine had taken so much space in my life, there wasn’t any moment she wasn’t there, she was there all along.

I fend for her, I made sure she had everything and lacked nothing, I protected her parents as though they were mine, I made sure everything was fine, and she turned around so heartlessly to do that with me.

I reminisced on the times I clutched to the wall of my room, crying and imagining who this lady he tirelessly warmed her bed was, not knowing it was my sister, I was hell bent on making her life hell, my love was converted to anger, then hell hot rage!!!

But first I had to make sure I did one thing right, I had not only come to this park to confirm my suspicions, I had also come to make sure Estel children were fine and they lacked nothing, and while I contemplated waking them up from their slumber, or just passing through their door and leave them be, I passed through their house then turn back.

I comported myself, the last thing I wanted was for them to see how broken I was, so I cleaned my eyes then knocked on the door, after a few failed attempt to alarm them I knocked even louder then said my name.

The hinges quickly opened, and a shadow peeked through the door, its blue eyes gave whoever it was off, Estela children had very rare cases of blue orbs, it shined even in the darkest of night, and with the aid of the light emitting several park building, the orbs were clearer now.

It was that of her lift girl, “hey little one, can I come in?” My request was immediately granted as she gave me access to her house, her family still stayed in darkness and it was sickening to see, but this time I don't feel guilty like I had done the previous time, I felt rather angered by the way lobo didn’t let the stigma cool off even when he was the reason why everyone hated them so much, he was the one who placed estel in the position that she was, and somehow he watched them pay for it with their own livelihood.

“Luna, I am so glad you are back, rumour had it that you ran away, even the alpha was making a search party for you” Estels husband said as he lit the lamp so I could see his face.

The same fool whom he had just labelled worried was just screwing my sister minutes back and would be searching round the park soon enough, I could not let him find me, whatever he needed my blood for would have to be on a long pause because at that moment, I didn’t care if he was sick or someone else was, as long I wasn’t going to be a tool in his hands again then I was fine.

“I am indeed missing, and if he finds you here, tell him you did not see me”

“But Luna”

“I am no longer Luna, as you can see, my sister is” hatred and anger brewed in my mind, but u held myself from saying more, but u could already tell he knew what was going on.

“You would always be my Luna” he said, so did his children as they pulled me in for a hug, oh Estel left such wonderful children, I could not let them suffer anymore than they already are.

“Follow me out, I would provide shelter and a good livelihood, we would leave as rogues but no one would control us, no one would attack us and we would always be informed” I said in a hopeful tone, it sounded almost impossible to resist, but their reaction remained unfazed by what I had just said.

“Luna, I don’t think that would be possible, the children already have a life here”

“I will give them a better life, and they will be educated by me. I promise, I will provide them with the possible practice like they never even left in the first place,” I said in terms of protecting his daughters.

But he still remained unfazed by my offer, “but you can’t teach my son how to fight, he needs it, he’s a man and he needs to protect, I can’t was him, it’s not my field to teach him, he had to learn the tactics from a park, and also have people to contend with, else he would be nothing but a weak wolf”

I had no words to attest what he had just said, there was no talking them out of this so I finally gave up.

“Fine,” I muttered.

“If you want to stay there. It’s fine, but the beta would give you anything you need, all you have to do is ask and it’s one step away” I said in a conclusion then gave everyone of them a big hug before sneaking out of the park.

I had one more place to be, and it was my parents house, they were supposed to explain to me why they knew about Meera and didn’t tell me anything and if they didn’t know, they had to stand back and let me do this myself because Meera was going to pay for all the times I had cried in this passed few months she had come to visit.

She was going to pay for betraying my trust and lastly she would pay for killing my own child and costing me the chance of giving birth again, she would pay!

On all fours I ran towards my park, back to my parents house, they should know what Meera had done, how far she had hurt me, that’s if they really care…

Three hours on the road, I finally approached my park, it was almost dawn, and for a sick person, I should be at home, sleeping, and probably feasting but here I was, in the cold embrace of life, trekking towards my park.

I heard the buzzing sound of a feast coming from the park house, there was absolutely nothing to celebrate in the park, it was strange, for years there was no celebration of any sort.

Passing through the gates, I was allowed in by the guards, and without any distraction, I walked towards the park house where the celebration was being held. Mom and dad were nowhere to be found, but I could see their hand work all over, it must be a big feast. What are they celebrating?

I shifted back to my human form, with a scarf over my head I took a drink from the table presented, while I sunk in with the crowd, I wanted to get the information from the park members rather, they would give me more genuine response than my parents, something in me told me this wasn’t just a celebration, it had an hidden agenda to it.

“What are we celebrating!” I asked a drunk man dancing to the song played in the park.

“The alpha daughter is getting married” he said then continued to dancing, indeed I was correct…

They would rather throw a party this big to celebrate Meera, than make a search party to find their missing daughter, I didn’t need much to know I wasn’t wanted, and with a quick reflection on how things had been going all my life, I wasn’t going to blame them either, I was the fool all along.

But not anymore.
